Remains of Caulson Plantation Home
Built in 1824 by James W. Harris, the plantation was originally 10,000 acres worked by 100+ slaves. The house was abandoned by the family in the 1940's. The Morgan County Historical Society bought and restored it in the 1970's, giving tours. It was converted to a B&B in the 1980's. It was severely damaged by fire in 2002.
