Unfinished Restoration in Dekalb County

This stately home was built in 1916 a short distance outside of Atlanta in an old-growth forest known as Fernbank Forest. In the 1980s, the property was deeded to the Fernbank Science Center and used for staff services. Today, the Hodgson house remains partially gutted from an unfinished restoration.

Abandoned Home in Ellenwood

This home has been abandoned for 20 years that I know of. Apparently the status of the property has finally been cleared up, so the lot will be sold and this one will disappear soon.

Abandoned Commercial Building in South Decatur

At times over the past 20 years, it's been used for a church and a cash car rental business. It's been abandoned for a few years now and the front porch has turned into a homeless camp.
