Our dear, Great Aunt Zilla passed away this week. We were sad to see her go, but know that she was ready. Neal and I got to go out to Malakoff, to the beautifully peaceful cemetery where she was laid to rest. Neal's dad and Gail, Martha and Mark, John, and Jeffie were able to be there, too.
At Aunt Zilla's 95th birthday party at her church a couple of years ago.
At previous Riddlesperger reunions in Athens over the years. These are with Aunt Zilla; her son, Jack; and his sweet wife, Jeanne.
Our last visit, just before her 96th birthday last summer in her Arlington home.
Pictures I had never seen of the Jackson family. Zilla is the little girl and her sister, Ella (Neal's grandmother) is the teenager. They were about 14 years apart.
Zilla as a young woman.
Neal with his dad and brothers.
The Jackson home in Malakoff. Still kept up really well by the current residents!
