Quote of the Day XVI

We were walking the bread aisle of the grocery store the other day, when Audrey guilt trips me by saying, out of the blue:

"Mommy, I really wish I had a sister."

Me: "I know, cutie. Me too. It's just kind of dangerous for me to have another baby. You guys all came too early, it was kind of scary."

Audrey: "What would happen if we came way too early?"

Parker: "We might have had like eight limbs or something."

Ok, so maybe this show was on our DVR for a couple of weeks and Parker got kind of attached to the idea of a parasitic twin. Pun intended.

I just love a good imagination! How early were all your kids? Were they in the NICU? Just curious because all of our kiddos were early as well.

hey ruth,

our kids were all born between 36 and 37.5 weeks. after about 4 months of contractions every time. my body doesn't like being pregnant. at all.

That is seriously weird. Never heard of a parasitic twin before you guys told me about that show. Emmaline's been giving me the "guilt trip" about not having a girl. I feel like yelling, "Haven't I given you enough?!"

Leslie, thanks for the hurricane invitation! lol I think we've decided to stay put ... unless Dain makes me go. he has to work no matter what. that's what media people do. so we'll see ... I do have a place in Austin if needed! :-)

BTW, my kids were all between 32-37. my body also struggled with being pregnant.

Man, that's a crazy picture. Your kids are hilarious. I had no idea you had such a hard time with your pregnancies. Three is a nice number. That's what I am aiming for. We'll see if I ever get there...
