Deep Breath . . . Okay.

Well, the boys are feeling much better. Thanks for all your thoughts and well-wishes. The fevers are gone and although the pink eye remains, my Dr. assures me that the antibiotic they're on will take care of it. Now I'm not going to talk about the fact that I have somehow contracted what looks to Dr. H* to be a very nasty case of tonsillitis. It is so yucky, in fact, that it caused him (who looks into yucky mouths all day) to say, when he looked in my throat last night, "oooo, baby, that's really bad."

Yes, I know. I know because I am completely unable to swallow. Or speak without pain or fear of pain. So I am living off of otter pops, yogurt, ice cream, raspberry herbal tea and lots of milkshakes (don't worry, mom, we're supplementing Miles). I'm not going to dwell on this lest all you readers think that my family lives in some sort of germ-infested cess pool of a swamp down here. Nobody's family should be this sick, I mean, seriously! Who gets sick this much??
It should clear up in a few days, and now I can actually start getting ready and excited about our upcoming trip!

Here's the thing, we're leaving Neal here for 11 days all alone. I know, we're terrible, but we have lots of people to see in California, plus we really want to go on the new Finding Nemo ride at D-land! Remember when I went to Arizona and Neal was a guest blogger and how much we all loved it and looked forward with bated breath to each post? I remember that, too, but somehow Neal's not feelin' the love. He doesn't really want to be flowerchain's guest blogger again because he thinks he has nothing to say and that it's too much work. :(

I think he needs some convincing. Let's think . . . what can Neal blog about this time? Any ideas? Questions?

I had that too! I thought it was strep, but just a nasty sore throat. Crazy... I think we've all had a bit of this virus too. Even Tyler did and he was way out in Vermont.

Neal-I've never met you or your wife, but I read when you were the guest blogger last time and enjoyed it immensely. Things that are interesting to hear from an educated man: gov. politics, church politics, cars you love and why, favorite tool (this might just be stuff that I'm interested in), etc. If I think of any others, you will hear from me.

Leslie-I'm very jealous you are going to Disneyland. There isn't much I could do there, but Robby and I did go to Knott's Berry Farm when I was 4 weeks preg and didn't know it. Hope you feel better soon and you guys have a great time!

alright Neal, here's some ideas from a faithful reader:
- thoughts/feelings on your future - namely starting your own practice VS. joining one and the places (not using names, obviously, but rather initials avec asterisks) you would like to live in a year.
- crazy home teaching and EQ experiences you've had, omitting names/key information, naturally.
- your version of you and Leslie's story - we've heard her version, but hearing yours would be great, too.
- a tutorial on how to buy a diamond online - more so for my husband than anyone else, but really, you did a great job with Leslie's pendant stone and that information could be very useful in my future, let's say. :D
- a day-in-the-life-of Dr. Neal H* : an hour by hour one sentence study would be interesting...I wish Jay would do it - I'd love to know what he does all day, hour by hour.
- your dream car, if money were no object.
- some of your favorite books and why

alright, so there's a few - tell him he had better do it or else...we'll all be terribly bored with no updates on flowerchain!

man les...that seriously does stink. maybe all this sickness is just to prevent you from getting sick (like you always do) when you come visit us all.

I'm soooo sorry you can't get rid of this yuckiness. At least it will be gone by the time you leave (we all hope).
As for a guest writer - YES, PLEASE! How else am I going to keep myself entertained while you're away. And since Natalie gave hime a plethora of great ideas, he really has no excuse. Because I, too, want to know about internet diamond purchases, and HT and EQ experiences are always good for a laugh.

jay would like me to submit one suggestion for Neal's upcoming guest blogging entries - he wants more sarcasm to come through -= he's relying on Neal to give him a good laugh. there you have it - I told Jay he had better prepare himself because when I'm gone in August, he'll be up to bat.
