Just a little more proof that Parker is crazy . . .

Parker has invented a little something he calls a "water pud." If you ask him what it is he'll say, "it's a pud made out of water." What is a pud you may be asking? Audrey, who is good at Parker-translating says he means puddle, but pud is shorter. Parker stops the drain in the bathroom sink, fills it up about halfway with water, and splashes his hands around in it. Sometimes he may add soap bubbles, sometimes he may add a handful of dirt he has carried through the house. We never know, but if you drain the water pud, say, to wash your hands, he will quickly and quietly return to the bathroom, say calmly "who drained up my water pud?" and proceed to create a new one.

Where do these little people come from anyway?

i love that he doesn't get mad if you drain the pud, but he will just make a new one. he is so sweet and mild mannered, even if he is a little crazy.

Wow, am I the only mom who doesn't like my kids to play in the water? My friend Natalie always let all the kids wash their "my little ponies" and assorted toher plastic toys in the sink, but when my kids want to do waterfalls, I try to remind myself to remain calm. I know it is just water, but usually there ends up being a change of clothes involved too. I am way too uptight! :-{

I think it's great that he can just made his water pud and not make a big mess! What a cutie!

That is the funniest thing I have heard. I read it earlier today and every once in a while I will think about it again and just laugh!

Yes Ginger you are nuts! I loved it when James used to do this because it would keep him busy forever! Emily never took it up though.

Oh, Leslie! This cracked me up. I'm hoping Linus will outgrow this phase this summer when he spends half his life in the pool and the other half in the sprinklers. Please tell me Parker outgrew the water pud obsession!
