Federation Starships
Another group of Federation starships, these ones are mostly repainted heroclixs and one old metal miniature.

Federation Fleet
A mixture of ships from Brigade Model's and some older castings I picked up from Battlegrounds in Nov 2022. The BM miniatures are real nice crisp castings, looking like a mix of Star Trek and Battlestar Galatica. The older miniatures, the ones with saucer sections, are bad castings, real bottom of the barrel, with poor detailing, not surprising as some of them look like they have a sculpt date of 1992.

Federation Fleet (Johnny Lightning)
I picked up a bunch of Johnny Lightning Star Trek ships from the Red Alert series, a battle damaged NX Class Enterprise, an OS battle damaged USS Enterprise, Motion Picture USS Enterprise, Wrath of Khan battle damaged USS Enterprise and a matching damaged USS Reliant.
Damaged sections
These ships are bigger than the the MicroMachines, Futura and Heroclix ships I have, but seem to match almost perfectly for the Running Press light up Enterprise I picked up the other week.
For someone who prefers Star Wars to Star Trek, I sure have a hell of a lot of Trek ships.

USS Enterprise (Running Press)
I found this on Amazon, though WHSmiths also sell them. The original series USS Enterprise, it comes prepainted with all markings applied. its a lovely well detailed kit for its size. On top of all the saucer section lights up.
The Running Press Enterprise alongside the Futura refit Enterprise. I should point out that this kit costs £5.59 from Amazon.co.uk, though some crafty buggers are trying to sell them on ebay as an exclusive from the Eaglemoss Star Trek magazine, with prices upwards of £20!

Enterprise D
Eaglemoss Collections have released yet another collectible statue magazine, Star Trek the Official Starships Collection.I only saw one copy in WH Smiths when I went looking yesterday, plenty of copies of Eaglemoss's other collections (Dr.Who and Build your own trains). Anyhow, the first issues sets you back a measly £1.99, this is to entice you into the collection and subscribe, each other issue is £9.99.
The first issue comes with extremely well detailed part die cast part plastic model of the USS Enterprise D, with display stand. The model is really really nice, plastic see through nacelles, and nicely applied markings.
The upcoming models all look rather nice, but are not in scale with each other, so uses for Star Trek themed war-gaming are limited, though the Enterprise D does look nice next to my Futura USS Enterpirse.

More Starships
So following on from my purchases a few weeks ago I went mad and ordered more random starships, as you can see from the photos the scales are all over the place.
Heroclix Oberth class, alongside a Heroclix Constitution class and a MicroMachines Ambassador class.
MicroMachines and Heroclix Excelsior class and another Oberth from Heroclix.
As you can see the Heroclix are all over the place, though of your like me and not actually wanting these ships for a Star Trek themed game then matching scale probably isn't high on the agenda.

Federation Fleet (and 300 posts!)
I have been interested in forming a fleet made from Star Trek model miniatures, however I have found them to be either rather pricey, or hard to get hold of. I had considered the Star Trek Tactics game from Heroclix, but the local Forbidden Planet doesn't stock it. However I tracked a few miniatures down on Ebay and decided to pick up a few to see how they sized up. So from left to right we have a MicroMachines USS Reliant, Heroclix USS Reliant, Hot Wheels USS Enterprise (new version) and Futura USS Enterprise.
Of the four they all size up well, but the best sculpts are the MicroMachines and the Futura models, the HeroClix is a little smaller and a bit soft on the details but is nice for what it is. The Hot Wheels however is horrid, the saucer and body are die cast and bolted together badly, while the nacelles are soft bendy...really bendy rubber plastic, still it will serve till I acquire a few more replacements.
Also 300 posts! Woot!
