O Christmas Tree...

Hi folks,

I thought I would share this wee card I made this afternoon.  I have had this stamp set for ages and not had the chance to use it until today.  This was just a quick card, the trees are individual stamps so stamped them separately in different colours, I thought the sentitment fitted perfectly under the trees, I added a tiny amount of splashes and sequins.

Hope you like it.

Morning folks,

It's time for another challenge over on the Stamping Sensations Challenge blog.  The theme this month is Christmas.

The prize this month is the fab stamp sets donated by one of our regular entrants.

For my card I have used this fab little layering stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, it's three different layers to build up the word "Snow"...I added some extra stamped snowflakes.  I added some sequins to finish.

Pop over and check out what my teamies have made.

Thanks...

Morning folks,

I thought I would share this little card I made last night.  I was having a look through my old stash and came across this stamp from Stampin Up, which I really like, it's so easy to colour.  I stamped the image onto watercolour card and coloured with my zig pens, and I only needed to use 2 colours, green and yellow and blended them together.  I added a few tiny splashes and some gold paint to finish.

The DT Call is still ongoing over on the Less is More blog, so I have added my second entry for the DT Call.

Birthday Wishes...

Hi folks,

Here's a wee extra card from me tonight.  I saw that there was a DT Call over on the Less is More blog and thought I would try my luck.  I do like the CAS look as it's nice and crisp and fresh.  If I am lucky enough to be picked it will give me a good excuse to get more practice with my CAS cards.

I have used one of the stamps from the Greetery Eucalyptus stamp set, the birthday sentiment is from concord & 9th, a piece of twine from my stash and some pearls and sequins from my stash.  I have to say I was tempted to add my doodled edges but left as is.

Hope you like it.

So it's a beautiful day...

Hi folks...as you know I have been out of action for some time but just getting back into the swing of things and what better than with one of my favouritest stamp sets...Beautiful Day from Altenew.

I stamped the flowers and white embossed them....I also white embossed the leaves too. I then masked the flowers and stamped and white embossed the happy birthday text background.

Using my zig clean colour brush pens I added lots of colour to the flowers and leaves, I then loaded a brush with lots of water a d brushed over the coloured flowers....this gave a softer look and also gave some colour to the text.

Once dry I added some coloured splits, I then left it to dry before I added the black ink splodges.

I then stamped the sentiment and white embossed and I did cut the "you" 3 times and glued them together.

I added these to the card and also added some sequin, pearls and gems to finish...hope you likey!

It's another Beautiful Day...

Hi folks, today I am sharing my DT tutorial for My Mum's Craft Shop...

When I last made a card using this stamp, I did receive lots of comments so as it is bacck in stock now over on the My Mum's Craft Shop store, I thought I would show you what I did.

First I cut a piece of watercolour card to size.

Using the Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set, I stamped up the flower and leaf using a veramark pad and then embossed the images with white embossing powder...I love white embossing with watercolouring.

Using my Zig clean Color Brush pens I first started colouring the leaves, just started with some colour at the stem ends and worked the colour out with a waterbrush.

Next I started in the centre of one of the flowers and not really being too precise, I coloured some yellow in the centre of the flower.

I then added some pink around the outside edges, this makes it easy to pull the colour from the edges and to blend with the yellow.

Using my waterbrush, I blended the yellow and pink together and then did the came on the next flower.

I just kept using the same process until all the flowers had been coloured.

I then went over all flowers and leaves added more colour util I got the shade I wanted....these pens are so vibrant you don't actually need that much colour.

I like to add shading around the images but instead of a normal greyish shadow I pulled the colour out from the flowers.... I think this is quite effective and it's a great way to cover up colour that has gone over the outside of the images.

I then loaded my waterbrush with colour and slashed some little splodges of colour...and then once dry I added some black splodges.

Here's the finished card.

Birthday wishes...

Good morning folks, and another card from me...

This time I have used my ebrush to create the background and to shade the flowers and leaves.  I first die cut the flowers and then sprayed them using Spectrum Noir Markers, I did the same with the leaves.  I then die cut the overlays and glued them on top.  I masked off a section of the card and sprayed the top section with a matching colour.  I layered the flowers on to the card.  I doodled the edges as normal.  I thought it looked a bit bare so did some arty type splashes with Spectrum Aqua pens and then added some sequins and gems.
Hope you likey!

Pop over to the Spectrum Noir blog for more inspiration or you can check out the Facebook page.

Howdy folks...now I just love this time of year and making my Christmas cards....I have used this LOTV image I had from last year as I was looking for something quickish and there is minimal colouring on this one.  I have used inktense pencils to colour the image and layered it onto black clard and then mounted it onto kraft card.  I added a ribbon and bow and added a wee snowflake charm and flower...oh yes and doodles and pearls were added!!

Fashion statement!!

Well another lovely sunny day and...not my usual and I can tell you ...never again!! I wanted to try the Less is More challenge and this week it's acetate...piece of cake I thought!! That stuff just has a mind of its own...aaarrgggg!! It won't cut and everything sticks to it including the rubber stamps I used on this one...I had to peel the stamps from the acetate...I thought what's going on here...I thought it was ink I used not glue!! I was not going to let this one beat me so 6 sheets of acetate later...here we are. I embossed a white panel and layered it onto the black and added pink seam binding and a little message. I layered the acetate on to sticky fixers so that it gives a 3d effect and actually IRL this does look quite good as you can see the shadows behind the figures...not sure if you can see it in the photo. The stamps I just love...these were a win I got in the early days, they are called My Acrylix - Every Day Life...great for quick cards although this one wasn't quick hence the reason I have not said a wee quickie before lunch!!

Less is More - acetate
Sir Stampalot - ladies and fashion
Colour Create - black, pink, white
Paperplay - photo inspiration
2 sisters - bingo(die cut(oval), embossing, ribbon)

Plain & Simple

A quickie tonight...I made this card the other night at our card class but just added the glitter to it tonight. First I placed a punched circle from a post it note onto the card and then added some chalks and blended them together to give a sort of sunset type look although it's not sunset colours!! Next I stamped the flower and the message..added glitter...quickest card I've ever made....can't remember which stamp company these are from as I borrowed them from a friend at the class.

Totally Papercrafts - clean & simple
The Secret Crafter - stamped flower
Allsorts - it's all about the sentiment
Less is more - one layer/flower
