Snowflake Wishes...

Morning folks,

I just love this stamp set, I have been on a roll but trying to make the cards slightly different. The lovely Brenda asked if I would like to be a guest designer for Allsorts, which of course is no trouble so I thought I would share another snowflake card with them.

I inked up the background and when dry I stencilled some little snowflakes with texture paste, once that had dry I added some more colour to the background. I then stamped some snowflakes and embossed in navy, white and silver.

I die cut the large snowflake in silver card and layered on top.  I added some sequins to finish.

Happy Birthday...

Good morning stampers!

It's birthday week over on the Sweet Stampin Challenge blog...the Sweet Stampin Challenge is 12 years old...how did that happen?

Well this wasn't really what I had in mind, I wanted to die cut different letters and have a layer on top but after playing about with my scan n cut....with the help of Cass, I gave up and went back to the dies!

So first I added some watercolours to the card and left it to dry, I then die cut the letters and stamped the outline over the top, didn't want the black line to be perfect (I deliberately did that lol) and added some sticky fixers, I then stamped some little flowers, stamped the birthday and finished with some dots and sequins.

Pop over to the Sweet Stampin blog and check out what my teamies have made.

Allsorts - one for the girls

Happy Birthday...

Howdy everybody...it's Fi here with today's post!  It's late, but as they say better late than never..

For this card I used the MFT Happy Birthday Background stamp and the MFT Beautiful Butterflies, I white embossed the background on watercolour card. I then stamped distress ink onto a piece of acetate, I loaded my brush with water and lifted the ink and washed it randomly over the embossed writing.  I didn't want to cover it all.  I inked up the butterfly with distress inks aswell and cut out.  I used sticky fixers to layer the butterfly and the sentiment. The sentiment is from Altenew Label Love.
I finished with some ink splodges and sequins.

My first DT card of 2017

Hi folks...my first DT card of 2017!!

Today is my last day before going back to work tomorrow s I made a point of spending most of the day crafting!

I bought this stamp just before Christmas as I thought it was quite versatile and I could do lots with it...I haven't used all of the stamps in the set only the main one, still practising with the others.

The stamp is from Concorde and 9th and is called Hello Lovely.  I stamped onto watercolour card and white embossed.  I coloured the image using my Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils, I started with the lighter shades and then gradually added until I got the shade I wanted...I wanted it to look quite soft.

I stamped some splodges and the sentiment which are from the same set and then added a few sequins to finish.

Pop over to the Spectrum Noir Blog for more inspiration.

Some pretty flowers...

Hi everybody, hope you are all well!
*sigh!

So today I decided to do a bit of watercolouring...I think I love these stamps and I think I love watercolouring!! This is so easy to do and you don't have to be great at colouring...Ijust love the effect, it's fab!

First, here's a wee close up...

So first I cut a piece of watercolour card and then white embossed the flowers, I actually had to mask them so I could overlap...that actually took me longer to cut and mask than it did to colour!

Edited: forgot to say the stgamps are from Tim holtz Flower Garden set.

Then I started colouring with my watercolour pens, starting with the lightest to darkest and just gradually adding colour until I got the shade I wanted.

I added a sentiment and some sequins to finish.

Hey Bud...

Good evening folks....thought I would share my wee card that I made today!

The stamp is from Satamping Bella and is called Hey Bud...isn't it cute?  I coloured the stamp with Spectrum Noir Aquablend pencils, and they are just the best, love them so much!

You can pop over to the Spectrum Noir Blog to check out more cards made using all products from the Spectrum Noir range.

I built up the layers of colour using a waterbrush, blending and shading...it's actually much bolder IRL! the papers are from The Sweet Shoppe, which I layered onto brown cardstock.  I added a wee piece of lace to one of the layers, and some flowers and a swirly leaf...oh yes nearly forgot...those teeny weeny pearls too!

Hello...

Hi everybody, hope you are well!

I have been manically busy with work, learning new stuff and having to do homework too but hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.

I made this card a couple of weeks ago, the inspiration came from the lovely Lori's tutorial on watercolor backdrops. If you're looking to make a quick card then this is the way to go...so easy and yet very effective.

First I cut a piece of watercolour card to size, the brush over with water making it quite wet, next I coloured up one of the background stamps with Spectrum Noir Aqua pens, I actually used 3 different shades of blue but I guess you could go with the one, and stamped onto the wet card.  The card absorbs the ink but because its wet the colour moves around so there's no two stamped images the same...it's fab!  I then used a versamark pad and inked up some sentiments and embossed with white embossing powder.

I layered onto coloured card and added some sequins to finish.

challenges:
Allsorts - clean and simple

The Sugar Bowl Challenge 132

Well today sees the last challenge of the year over on the Sugar Bowl.

I can't believe how fast this year has flown in from being snowed under at work then made redundant, a wee bit time off then a wee job to tide me over and now I have bagged myself a new role at Heineken startting on 5th January....although it's still a fixed Term job, it's a longer one and is a fab opportunity....and who knows if I do a good job they might ask me to stay forever...woo hoo!

So anyway here's my card for today's challenge over on The Sugar Bowl. I thought the image and sentiment work well together for this time of the year.

The papers were in my stash, so no idea what they are, the image is called "Fizz" from Leanne Ellis at Funky Kits which I coloured with Spectrum Noir Marker pens.

There's lots of other fab tutorials so why don't you check them out too on the Spectrum Noir blog.

Some exciting news...

Good morning Sugar fans....it's Wednesday I hear you say and this isn't The Sugar Bowl I hear you say....well that's right, the lovely Karen asked me if I would like to take a 3 month spot over on The Sugar Nellie blog...woo hoo!!  Well I obviously had to think about it for all of 2 seconds...lol!!

So for my first card I wanted to go plain and simple and to try to just focus on my colouring and Butterfly Girl is one of my favourite stamps.  She comes from the Simply Sassy range of Sugar Nellie over at Funky Kits.  I stamped her using memento ink and coloured with copics, building up colour and then shaded with polychromos....I like using my pencils for the finishing touches as I can get a bit finer detail with them as sometimes the pens can bleed too much.

Now I found that embossing folder at the SECC which I had to have as I immediately thought of this stamp...so the make is Craft Concepts....and it is just beautiful...I love embossing with white card, I think it looks so crisp and clean.

Again, I found those teeny weeny butterflies at the SECC, they come in the one die from Memory Box and are just so perfect not just with this stamp but lots of other stamps too...I just added a bit of colour to them, popped their wings up and stuck them down.

The embossed panel, image and sentiment are layered onto kraft card and I doodled around the edges...I think that helps to pop an image.

The message is from Stampin Up and I finished with some pearls in the corner....hope you likey.

Papertake Weekly - anything goes
Allsorts - use those dies

Some gorjussness....

Hey folks....yes it's another from me today!!  I desperately wanted to try a card with real flowers, well not die cut ones, so I ordered me some and here they are...think I will stick to the dies cos I am not very good at flower arranging!!  I see so many beautiful cards with lovely little floraly things on them but I just can't seem to get them to sit or look right....

Anyway thought I would go with the monochrome look for this card...thought that would be easier to showcase the flowers.  The papers are MME - Oliver, layered onto bazzill card, the stamp is Ruby from Personal Impressions which I coloured with copics and glitzed up with stickles, I doodled the edges of the card and then added those flowers...
