Way, way back in July 2012

 I took a class from a quilting master, Tula Pink.  I still have the more pondering of life and other lessons I learned from Tula Pink in a draft blog post.  

 

I had a few of her books signed!

I'm giving away a signed copy of Tula's last book "Quilts from the House of Tula Pink"

It's awesome in every way!  Seriously you should read this for quick tips.  I've learned different ways to doing things.
There are a few errata's but it's all good.

How about one of these signed books + 3 Fat Quarters Tula + low volume scissors.

Fabric Love from Fat Quarter Shop

I've used a few internet fabric shops.  

I'm kinda partial to those that have amazing shipping times but also great customer service. 
Good prices also factor in people!

  

I only have great things to say about the Fat Quarter Shop.  If you walked into my sewing area, you could see as I have a few bags from them that I've accumulated over the years. . lalalala

The Fat Quarter Shop carries some great lines in pre-cuts but also yardage.  {see it even says it in their logo}

I've been especially lucky to find some "past" lines {those more than 6 months old} in yardage to finish up a quilt back or binding and at amazing prices.  

The Fat Quarter Shop has some amazing patterns and I always check out their notion of the month!

 Have you seen some of their coming soon fabric lines.  

What first caught my eye is Textured Basics by Patty Young of MODKID

 And ohhh in tangerine - love it!

How grand to be participating in the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day that is really a week. In the past I've always been excited as it's all about a giveaway but it's also where I get to meet so many new people.

I instantly snapped up 2 charm packs and started worked them into hourglass blocks. 



As you can see these are still being worked on in-between my many other projects.
I love working on these each time I pull them out!

Fabric Love from Intrepid Thread

I'm super excited for this day to come.

So now that I feel all grown up and have my social media in my back pocket it's time to party!

Followers Giveaway

Starting out a new blog and breaking yourself into a new community, is just like being in school all over again.  You hope that the kids will like you, that people won't make fun of you, that people won't do that eye-roll -you know the one!  My 11-year old step-daughter does this regularly now.  

What I've found in this community is all love.

I've been featured on Follower Spotlight with Jennifer over at Ellison Lane Quilts ♥

I was sent a precious piece of fabric from one of my favorite bee-mates, tutorial writer, and amazing blogger Erin ♥

I've been sent pearl cotton for FREE from over the sea from the lovely Liz. ♥

I even hooked up with the kindhearted Sheridan that lives in Australia. She's my supplier of the AZ exclusive prints of DS Quilts fabrics.  She's an amazing peddler of this fabric.  She put down some serious cash before she got any buyers.  ♥

There are many more! ♥

I've met some amazing people through my many a bee - I'm in 9 now.  Le'sigh

But when you find cool people it is like an addiction.  You want more.

So what does this all mean? Well I hit 60 (+)  followers {at least one is a fake follower cuz my fella does follow me but he rarely reads, it's okay because I rarely read his writing that he does for a living}

And since I stalk others blogs, I stalk how many hits I get a day, I stalk my flickr bee discussions - How about a giveaway for my wonderful stalkers followers.

My first giveaway. . I'm so excited!

I came across this post over at Cotton Addiction about the Pay it Forward. I have lovely girlfriends that are all about the pay it forward concept, so I'm participating in my own way.
