Sawtooth Stars - fixed

Blogging has not only inspired me to make way more than I ever imagined but also it saves me from my own mistakes!

Somehow when I'm so close to my sewing I can't see the obvious blunders.

Say for the Sawtooth Star for the Curve it Up Quilt Along (QAL) {blocks so far listed on the left}

I was gleefully putting them into a blog post and DOH - I finally "saw" I put it together wrong. Yeah I placed the corners way wrong.  It's taken me a week to rip these out and zip them back together.

So, here they are finally fixed up.

Curve it Up QAL- Sawtooth Star Block 2

They really are lovely blocks!

I'm in love with the Quick Curved Ruler

Thanks to everyone so far that has entered my giveaway {now closed} sponsored by Julie at the Intrepid Thread.

I'm planning on pouring over all the suggestions of new quilt or sewing ideas.  There have been a few that I've totally missed - until now

Have a great rest of the weekend.  And make sure to come back tomorrow!  I'm planning on putting something up special for the Sew Mama Sew Giveaway week.

WIP Wednesday 11.28.12

Remember how I said I kicked it this weekend. . I did!

I made a few blocks.  4 to be exact but after I took the photos of 2 of them, I realized that I put the corners on WRONG.  Sigh.

But I will share the two that I pieced together correctly :)

Rail Fence - Curve it Up QAL Block 2

These are from the Curve it Up QAL from Sew Kind of Wonderful

Rail Fence - Curve it Up QAL Block 1

I followed the amazing tutorial for the Curved Rail Fence found over here.

I loved these. They are HUGE blocks when finished.  So much fantastic inspiration over at the flickr group. I know that I have 2 started but I want a few other color ways in this now.

I worked on another curve project with the Quick Curved Ruler, but I'm going to share that with you this weekend or next week during the giveaway week from Sew Mama Sew. I have been kicking it - really really.

What else am I working on?

I'll be working from my works in progress (WIP) list from the 100-day hustle including:
Knitted baby blanket - so slow it hasn't been out the bag in a week
Quilt-top for the friends toddler - halfway quilted. . lalala STILL
Commission quilt - slow but steady
PJ pants for fella - no a lick on this one
Quilt top put together from Block Party - lalalala
Matching sock to a lone sock - what . . what is this?
    I'm linking up to Lee over at Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday.

    I've fallen!

    I have been very successful in avoiding any new projects, on-line bee's, swaps, quilt-along's (QAL).

    Until now.

    I happened to blog about the most awesome Quick Curve Ruler (QCR) - oh yesterday.

    And lookie here!

    There is a 'Curve it Up' with the QCR - QAL announced - oh yesterday!
    *There is a sale on the QCR till Friday*

    And it's all traditional blocks with a little twist. . oh I mean curve.
    First up will be a curved Churn Dash.

    I'll be stalking Sew Kind of Wonderful for more about this QAL.

    ~~~
    I'm almost in tears! I'm so happy!
    That also could be because I have a lovely co-worker that brought me flowers. . isn't she sweet!
    Ohhhh flowers! Sweet with wheat even!
    In a mason jar too!
    My fav ♥
    If this isn't from my co-worker, I have a stalker!
