Birthday Card featuring the Kinda Eclectic Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

Lots of people tell me that they find it hard to make cards for guys so today I am going to share a fun birthday card with you that would be great for any of the men in your life, using a stamp set I am struggling to put down - Kinda Eclectic from Stampin' Up!  It is such a great set and I am really enjoying stamping with it!

The card has a Crumb Cake Background with a Pool Party Layer.  I have used the Dots and Stripes Mask to give my Whisper White Layer a pattern for my stamping to sit on.  The stamping is in Pool Party, Old Olive, Crumb Cake and Island Indigo.  The birthday greeting is from the Something to Say Stamp Set and has been cut out using the Bitty Banner Framelits.

Beach House Washi Birthday Card using Stampin' Up! UK Supplies

Today I am going to share a fun birthday card I made for a special lady who was celebrating a special birthday - one of those ones that needed some gold in there somewhere!

This lady always makes me think of bright sunny colours so I reached for the Beach House Washi Tape as my start point.  I have used the Gorgeous Grunge and Something to Say Stamps along with some Gold Fancy Foil Vellum punched with the Elegant Butterfly Punch and the Bitty Butterfly Punch; and some Gold Baker's Twine to add my hints of Gold.

I love being able to make cards for the people who are special to me.  Who would you like to make a card for today?

Team Congratulations Gifts using the new Stampin' Up! Kraft Grid Journals

Before the new Stampin' Up! UK Catalogue was launched I ran a little competition with my team and had planned to send out one prize to one winner.  However the team really roe to the challenge and I ended up sending out four!  I challenged the team to take photos of their catalogues in unusual places or doing amusing things.  Their entries often made me really giggle and certainly were a lot of fun to follow.

I also had a lot of fun making their prizes!  I used the wonderful new Kraft Grid Journals.  I decorated them using the Work Of Art, Something to Say, Pictogram Punches and Everything Eleanor Stamp Sets and some of the delightful Venetian Crochet Trim.

Seize the Cake - a Birthday Card made using the Something to Say Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

I love the sentiment 'Seize the Cake' from the Stampin' Up! Something to Say Stamp Set - it conjurers up the impression of really grabbing a birthday and having some fun!  The card I am going to share with you today celebrates that.

The gorgeous papers are from the beautiful Moonlight Paper Stack which is packed with beautiful patterns in gorgeous colours.  I have found something in there for what ever style of project I wanted to make!  The Blackberry Bliss Butterflies and sentiment nestle on circles stamped with the Hardwood Background Stamp in Sahara Sand.  The Hello Honey butterfly wings were punched with the flower punch from the new Itty Bitty Accents Punch Packwhich coordinates with the Something to Say Stamp Set. These punches rarely leave my desk now! The butterflies themselves are of course punched with the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly Punches which are also used almost every craft session!

Work of Art and Serene Silhouettes Congratulations Cards

My team make me incredibly proud - they are a wonderful group of people united by a common love of Stamping and all things Stampin' Up!  The friendships that have grown within the team make me smile and I love seeing each team member grow and achieve the things they want during their time with Stampin' Up!  Last week there was lots to celebrate within the team and I enjoyed making cards for those who were celebrating!  This is the card I made.

The background was made with one of the Stamps from the wonderful Work of Art Stamp Set which was inked with Lost Lagoon and then stamped five times up the Crumb Cake Layer.  The beautiful flowers are from the Serene Silhouette Stamp Set and were stamped in Early Espresso, as was the greeting from Something to Say.  I have inked around the edges with Crumb Cake and around a punched out Modern Label Punch to create a frame around the sentiment.  Gold Bakers Twine adds some necessary sparkle and I added the Hello Honey coloured Star from Something to Say (and punched out with the coordinating punch) since the team is called the Stampin' Super Stars (the are all super and they are all stars in my opinion!)

I need to make some more congratulations cards already - we had a little competition recently and I need something to send the four winners with their prizes!  I challenged the team to take photos of their new Stampin' Up! Catalogues in fun and unusual places and I loved seeing what they came up with!  Prizes were awarded for lots of different reasons and all the entries made me smile - but more on that another time.

Male Birthday Card featuring the new Work Of Art Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!

Lots of people tell me that they find making cards for men harder and as someone who loves making cards with flowers and butterflies on them I can quite understand that!  Some stamp sets however lend themselves equally well to cards for everyone and for lots of different occasions and the new Work Of Art Stamp Set from Stampin' Up! is such a set - and that is one of the reasons I chose it to be our featured Stamp Set at this month's Card Making Classes.  You can find the details here.

Today's card would make a great card for a birthday boy of any age.  I have used the Work of Art Stamp Set to add some colour and some stripes to a sheet of the Moonlight Designer Series Paper Stack and then used images from the Perfect Pennants and the Something to Say Stamp Sets.  I love the little star in the Something to Say Stamp Set and love that it has a matching punch.  I have also added some of the Hello Honey Ribbon - it is a dream to tie!  The other colours I have used are also new Incolors - Mossy Meadow and Tangelo Twist.  I am enjoying trying all the new colours and will be including them in the next card class too.
