Blackberry Bliss Serene Silhouettes Card for Any Occasion

The card I am sharing with you today would make a great card to send for any occasion.  I like to keep several cards that I can use like that for those card emergencies where you just did not get a card made in time or maybe did not know you were going to need one!

The card features the gorgeous Blackberry Bliss which is one of the retiring In Colours from Stampin' Up!  If you have not been lucky enough to add it to your collection while it was available you could substitute Elegant Eggplant or any other colour!  The stamp set I have used is Serene Silhouettes which is also about to leave the collection, but again which could be substituted for another round image if you have missed this one too!

If you see things you like that are on the retired list please do purchase them as soon as you can so you don't miss out

Recognising the Wonderful Achievements Of My Team

I may have mentioned it once or twice before but I am incredibly proud of my wonderful team of Stampin' Super Stars.  They are very aptly named - they are all super and they are all stars who shine in their own special ways.

I love having the opportunity to spoil them and to recognise their achievements - and the cards I am sharing today were sent to some of the Super Stars who achieved special things last month.

Serene Silhouettes with a Work of Art Background - one Card Two Ways

Today I am going to show you a pair of birthday cards using the lovely Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set with backgrounds created with the Work of Art Stamp Set.  The design of the two card is the same but I have used different colours on the two backgrounds to give a very different effect.  

The base of both cards is Bermuda Bay (love that colour!) and each then has a Night of Navy Layer.  For the card on the right I inked the stamp from Work of Art in Bermuda Bay and stamped it 5 times without reinking in between to give the pretty Ombre Look.  The one on the left was stamped with Old Olive and then with Bermuda Bay.  The main image is from Serene Silhouettes and the greeting is from the Four You Stamp Set.

I love how changing the colour of something can totally change the look of a card.  I have shown you these before but I also made some of a very similar design with a Crumb Cake Base.

Work of Art and Serene Silhouettes Congratulations Cards

My team make me incredibly proud - they are a wonderful group of people united by a common love of Stamping and all things Stampin' Up!  The friendships that have grown within the team make me smile and I love seeing each team member grow and achieve the things they want during their time with Stampin' Up!  Last week there was lots to celebrate within the team and I enjoyed making cards for those who were celebrating!  This is the card I made.

The background was made with one of the Stamps from the wonderful Work of Art Stamp Set which was inked with Lost Lagoon and then stamped five times up the Crumb Cake Layer.  The beautiful flowers are from the Serene Silhouette Stamp Set and were stamped in Early Espresso, as was the greeting from Something to Say.  I have inked around the edges with Crumb Cake and around a punched out Modern Label Punch to create a frame around the sentiment.  Gold Bakers Twine adds some necessary sparkle and I added the Hello Honey coloured Star from Something to Say (and punched out with the coordinating punch) since the team is called the Stampin' Super Stars (the are all super and they are all stars in my opinion!)

I need to make some more congratulations cards already - we had a little competition recently and I need something to send the four winners with their prizes!  I challenged the team to take photos of their new Stampin' Up! Catalogues in fun and unusual places and I loved seeing what they came up with!  Prizes were awarded for lots of different reasons and all the entries made me smile - but more on that another time.

Almost time to Say Goodbye - More retiring stamps you may want to get while you can!

Yesterday I shared some blast from the past cards featuring retiting Stamp Sets starting with the letter A - today I am going to show you some starting with B and C!  There are other stamp sets retiring but these are three of my favourite stamp set and its been fun looking through the cards I have made with them and have loads more ideas for using them now!

Serene Silhouettes with an Ombre Background

I love the current trend for ombre where two colours fade into each other and today I am going to show you a card featuring the gorgeous Serene Silhouettes on an ombre background.

Sophisticated Serene Silhouettes

Today I am going to show you another card featuring the wonderful Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set.  I love all the images in this set and how versatile they are - this is rapidly becoming my go to stamp set for everything! 

This card looks very different from the the ones I have shared over the last couple of days and has a totally different feel - the Pool Party and Basic Grey colour combination giving it quite a sophisticated feel.

Serene Silhouettes Birds on a Branch

Today I am going to share another of the cards we made at a recent card making class, featuring the wonderful Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set.

Sparkling Serene Silhouettes

Today I am looking forward to sharing my most recent card class with some more lovely ladies - it feels like ages since we all stamped together, what with Christmas and then a delay for snow!  This class features the wonderful Serene Silhouettes Stamp Set - one I love using.

Serene Silhouettes Birthday Butterflies - Number 2

I enjoyed making the birthday card I shared with you yesterday so much that I kept many of the same elements and made another one!

This time I added the En Francais Stamp Set in a masked circle which I also inked to give some added definition.  Again I used a butterfly with a glimmer paper butterfly underneath.
