Touches of Texture Birthday Card and a Fun Way to use your Best Badge Punch from Stampin' Up! UK

I love the wonderful punches that are available from Stampin' Up! UK and I really enjoy finding new or unusual ways of using them and today I am excited to share a fun use for the Best Banners Punch.  Can you spot where I have used it on this card?  

OK look to the left of the pretty flowers from the Timeless Textures Stamp Set - see those scallops?  They were made with the punch - and to show you how I have made a short video.

I love the Timeless Textures Stamp Set - such fun to use with so many different possibilities.  It certainly is my most used new stamp set and I find myself reaching for it first every time I sit to stamp!

How Make Easy Watercoloured Flowers Using Fresh Fruit from Stampin' Up! UK

We have just one more post in this current series of Suite of the Week featuring the gorgeous Fruit Stand Suite and today I have a card with a beautiful Waterclour Background for you.  Oh and a video tutorial showing you how I made it.  Let's start with the card - inspired by some beautiful poppies I saw when I was out walking yesterday.

How lovely is that background!  Let me show you how it was done.

I wanted to make sure you could see as much of the background as possible so embossed my greeting on some vellum using the new copper embossing powder - so pretty!

A friend and I were discussing what we love about  Christmas - and one of the things that came up on my list was Poinsettias.  I do however have to confess that the only time I have green fingers is when I have been stamping.

Do you decorate for Halloween?

My friends have very mixed reactions to Halloween - their enthusiasm and love for it ranges from 'bring it on I love everything about it' to shall we just say the exact opposite!  Where ever you sit on the spectrum I think you will agree this is a very cute project and I am pretty sure my theatrical friends will see all sorts of non Halloween occasions for it too!

How to Make a Box an attached Lid using the Gift Bag Punch Board from Stampin' Up! UK

I am not quite sure what has happened to this week but it is time for another Find Out About Friday.  By now you have probably worked out that I love the Gift Bag Punch Board from Stampin' Up! UK - the gift bags you can make with it are adorable and you can make them in so many shapes and sizes and you can choose to put handles on it too.  But that is not all the board can do!  During Back to School week I showed you how to make a bag with a flap that goes over the top and today I am going to show you how to make a box which has an attached lid and which closes very securely.

Now I have decorated this one very simply so you can really see the box, but it would look fantastic decorated even more - imagine some lovely embellishments on the closure or maybe some ribbon ... the choice is yours.
