Welcome Welcome to another fantastic week here at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  challenge! We've got , as my title says.............a theme that is ...........

ANYTHING BUT A CARD!

OH , but wow, you must pop over to the challenge blog to see what we've come up with! Come meet the new DT members and drool over all of the creations! We all came up with something different and it wasn't even planned! LOL 

I made a picture frame with three Tilda's! 

I had a little girl in mind, a specific little girl who hasn't met the world yet.........she should be born any day now. Thought this picture frame would be perfect for a cute baby picture!

I got the frame & a bunch of others at Micheals for a dollar! Yup a dollar each! OMG! 

I painted it with multiple colors of acrylic paints & used many different ribbons from both Really Reasonable Ribbons and The Ribbon Carousel! The leafy flourish is a Cherry Lynn Designs freebie I got from some online store when I made a purchase! Pearly stamens are from Bizzy Becs and flowers are from I am Roses!

Anything Goes at Midweek Magnolias

HELLO and WELCOME to another week here at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  Challenge!!! 

Yup, you guessed it, I'm late!! But not by much!! 

But oh it is soooooooooooo worth the wait! LOL

Because not only do we have a theme that makes everyone happy, but I also used a couple of my newest stamps.....and that makes ME happy!! 

It's ANYTHING GOES week here at the Midweek Magnolia challenge!! 

ANYTHING AT ALL. 

Make it big, make is small...make it shimmer, make it tall!?>!! (I just made that up, pretty good hey). 

Colored with copics from my fave online store Oozak,com, this little Pearl Tilda & Oyster with Pearl are also from Oozak!!!! I added some seashell type buttons from my stash and some of my favorite flowers from I am Roses.  And of course, can't forget the cheesecloth and Magnolia papers!

Bling It On at Midweek Magnolias

Hello. Long time no see, my fellow bloggers.
 I do apologize for being an absent blogger lately but my Scentsy business has totally taken off !!
 I have been doing trade shows with Velata (chocolate fondue- a new line Scentsy has come out with.....) as well as home parties, basket parties & fundraising events with Scentsy!!
 I just finished a VERY SUCCESSFUL fundraiser for my sons preschool class with Scentsy. Happy customers, happy parents, happy teachers and a very happy consultant (that 's me) to hand over a nice cheque to them!! Gosh I love this stuff.

In the midst of all of this, I have slightly neglected my MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  Challenge blog duties, therefore I am posting this creation a bit late! 

Our challenge currently underway is :

ADD SOME BLING!! 

I was so excited when my new stamps & copics from Oozak came in I just had to color her up right away! 

Meet Summer Flower Tilda! Cute right? Now if you clicked on the link back there <--- you will notice that Summer Flower Tilda is facing the opposite way of which I have her on my card. Nope, it is not magic, it is actually the work of the Large Solid Palette Rectangle; which is made of rubber that allows you to stamp & restamp a stamp (have I confused you yet)....thereby giving it a completely different look. 

Very neat. 

I purchased this block from theStampTrap probly 2-3 months ago and this was my first time using it! And it won't be my last. I was introduced to this item from Debbie back in this post of hers.

Monotone at Midweek Magnolias

AAAHHH!! I love that we are getting so many entries at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS Challenge! Keep it comin' crafters! spread the love!! 

We have an other fantastic challenge lined up for you this week! 

MONOTONE/MONOCHROME

Whatever you want to call it. Just as long as it's shades of one color.

I went for the black and white monotone feel. With my very favorite man EVA!! 

EDWIN!! 

For the design on the black background paper I used one of my SU stamp sets with versamark ink and clear embossing powder. WOW...I haven't embossed in foreva!!!! 

The sentiment wee hand stamp are form Tickled Pink Stamps. Feathers are from Dollarama!

This week at MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  we want to see your 

FLOWERS! 

Now some of you will hate this challenge. 

Others will love it! 

Me.............I was on the fence until I got my ginormous shipment of I AM ROSES flowers in the mail! 

Will you get a load of these!! 

The oval behind Tilda & the heart in the corner are from Dora, as are the white leaves (as a RAK), which I still love to pieces and will be buying this die one day real soon!! LOL 

The paper behind the oval is actually a fabricy feely paper with some stitching on it! OMGOSH i bought this when I first started scrapbooking AGES ago!! WOW! I almost forgot about it! 

Let's see i've got some lace, some ribbon, some sprigs, some sparkle....and the sentiment....that's from SU!

CLP May Sketch

Guess what today is! Today is the day for my first post for the CLP Sketch challenges. 

I am so honored & humbled to be amungst such talented ladies! 

Thanks Chelsea for giving me this opportunity. 

The Sketch this month, goes something like this! 

To celebrate, I have candy at the top of my blog for anyone who is interested! 

When I first saw this Tilda in the Prince & Princesses Collection, I knew I had to have her! 

This is Princess Party Tilda.......I adore her and her lil stance! 

I colored her with copics and painted up around her with crackle paint, as well as the edges of the distressed papers. Bigger flowers are from I Am Roses! I am addicted to I Am Roses! LOL I also used some WOC flowers and my MS leaf punch. Then there's my MS butterfly punch for the wee ones you see here!

G'day my fellow blogger friends! Today is "hump day" and that means it's time for another MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  challenge!!
There were some great entries for our last challenge.....can't wait to see what you create this week for our


ANYTHING GOES/OPEN  challenge!!

OMG!! That's right!
It's an open challenge!
So what have i done!?!
OH BOY!
I've gone an altered a Fruitsations box (there were a ton of fruit flavored gummies in this box at one time) lol....& I've turned it into a donation box for our Village Green Playstructure fund. Where we go to raise awareness about the Playstructure and the need to have a new one at our local park, this box comes too!

 I have used a TON of Magnolias on here, so I am not even going to attempt to name them all. Just enjoy the pictures below!! 

This is the top. I cut an opening in the top flap  and added some soft chipboard pieces & an appropriate sentiment! 

And this is the front of the box in it's completion! 

I have also placed some Maggies on the sides too!! 

I hope you've enjoyed looking at my creation today. I will also be posting it at my alter ego blog The Steel Magnolias!!

Midweek Magnolias #7

Random Draw at my SCENTSY blog for the first 100 followers! 

Woooooooooooo weeeeeeeeeeeeeee it has been a crazy week with working my regular shifts at the hospital in town, then travelling out of town to do some shifts.....one day one place, the next day another place. I sometimes forget where I am! 

THEN I had a HUGE Scentsy party to host for my brand new consultant last night 

AND as you read this I am at the tax office getting our taxes looked after for tax season. 

THEN I have to come home and make supper for my daughter's Drama class!!! 

OMG!! 

All that aside, we have a new challenge over at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  !! As well, you want to pop over to see who won last weeks challenge! The entries are all soooooooooooo gorgeous, sometimes it's difficult to narrow it down. 

This week our challenge to you is to:

USE MORE THAN ONE MAGNOLIA CHARACTER

Whatever you wish. 

Here I have used a few different Magnolia stamps. Not just people, but a vehicle and doorway too! 

All on a sidestep card. I always admire how people make them looks so elegant! 

In the front I've used Root Cellar Door & Hello little Butterfly, And in the back I've used Tilda's Summer Car with Tilda holding Daffodil sitting onthe back. 

I've also used a few Magnolia dies including the butterfly, mistltoe, and flowers. My grass was cut off my cricut machine. 

Everything has been colored with my copics. UHHHH..I miss my copics. I've had no time to sit with them lately! :(

The sentiment on the inside is Whimsy. It was actually a freebie that came with an order that I placed with them! OMG right! I know. I love it! Totally summer!

Midweek Magnolias #6

I just want to say I apologize for being a horrid blogger lately. I have become mildly addicted to "words with friends " on Facebook (anyone want to play, just ask....you'll probly win, cuz I'm not very good, but man is it fun!!! )............and I am also addicted to "Auction Wars Winnipeg".......a site where I can place any unwanted items gathering dust in my house, and people bid on them. So much better than throwing things out! So far I've sold 3 items to people who will actually use these things (a playpen, a cappacino machine & some Stampin' Up stamp sets)!! 

I will be around to check out your blogs soon. I promise!!!

MILESTONE BIRTHDAY

Be it a 13th or 18th birthday, 21st, 40th, 50th, 80th, or 100th......

I have gone with a 16th birthday! For my niece who turns 16 this June! How exciting! OMG I'm so old! LOL

I used Congratulations Tilda from Magnolialicious . I colored her with some of my brand spankin' new copics from Oozak (OMG did you see they have a challenge blog now)!!! EEEK! 

I placed her atop of some shiny happy yellow cardstock but did not want to hide it with other papers so stuck to a doily background. 

My sentiment is some of my scrapbooking stickers. 

I used alot of pearls and gems and some of my Really Reasonable Ribbons! 

A bit of bling and VOILA!

This week at the MIDWEEK MAGNOLIAS  Challenge we have something a little different for you.

But before we get to that I must tell you that we have a BRAND NEW Midweek Magnolia joining out team.....who's name is BECKY!!!! YAY!! Pls hop over and give her a big warm welcome! 

Our Challenge to you- should you choose to accept it, is  to use the theme

HOMESPUN to inspire you!! 

What the heck is homespun right? Well, I certainly was stuck, then I googled it and realized it is a cross between my grandmas homemade quilts and an eclectic feel! We have some photos over at the challenge blog to help you with your quest! 

I've colored Tilda & Edwin with watercolors. Deep Rick Watercolors.....lol.....obviously I need more practice. I placed them upon a Magnolia Tag Die that I cut out 3 times and placed unevenly atop each other. The ribbons are misc. recycled from a tag a previous fellow DT member sent me......and the sentiment is ALSO recycled off of a card from my dear LORI! I save all the good parts from my crafty gifts! 

The wee 'pocket full of posies" flowers are from Linda's previous etsy store.....which is now located HERE on Zibbet. Overall I am pleased with how my homespun creation came together! 

I will also be posting this creation over at the Steel Magnolias blog!
