I am working out of town right now. Yup, that's how I'm ringing in the new year. WORK. By choice. While hubby it hopefully having a blast towing people all over town with their CAA memberships that allow for him to be a chaffeur on this night! 

My post today is to say good bye to 2011......

To say good bye to all the creations I have made over the past year....

& to recall some of my bests.

I have chosen the  image Fairy Love . Perfect for a wedding card or new love card! I did some embossing, stitching, glittering & flowering. I don't do flowers very often, but once in a while I will bust em out. These are WOC flowers except for the golden accent there. I believe that is from a blogger friend.

Merry Christmas Everyone! 

The image on my card today is a very special one from The Prairie Fairy. 

It is priceless. 

Literally, this image, The Winter Cottage from Prairie Fairy Designs does not have a price on it. It does NOT have a price for a reason.............& if you want to know the reason, then head on over to THIS POST here. 

Basically, if you want the image, go and grab it form the above link (the download button is there) and then hop over to make a monetary donation of your choice to "The Warrior Fund". 

I colored my Winter Cottage & sky with copics. Trees with watercolor pencils. I added liquid applique & prisma glitter to resemble snow. I also added crystal effect to different areas to resemble icicles. 

I placed droplets of crystal effects on parchment paper the day before I compiled my card, to ensure that it was nice and dry so I could peel it off of there and attach it to my house with glue. Below are a few of the finer details. 

This card has since been presented to my BFF , The Prairie Fairy.

The Sketchy Challenges on Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas Eve.
As you read this, I am prepping to go to my brother's cabin for some sliding, sledding, skating, supper and gift exchange. You see I have to work tomorrow (Christmas Day) as well as the 26th & 27th. bleh! So TODAY is my Christmas! I hope you are all doing some Christmas preparations as well; AND having fun doing it!
Having said all that, today starts a new challenges at The Sketchy Challenges. Lizzie has put together a fantastic sketch for us to use.


Don't let it frighten you as it did to me!
I didn't know where the heck to begin, then the more I looked at it, the more I realized I could totally use my ribbon scraps for the background.
I used my So What Simply Sassy Stamp from Funky Kits.  My sentiment stamps are called Awesome Kids from Graphicat Designs.....I won this stamp set from a Graphicat Sketch challenge. Works so perfectly with this sassy little image, dontcha think?
This will make a great birthday card I'd say!

Some Odd LOVE?!

December 23rd already!
I must apologize for not being around much lately. I have been super busy (as we all have) with work, life and Christmas. It is midnight as I write this and am in fact a day late with this post! Woops! I am HOWEVER finished my Christmas shopping & wrapping...but have yet to complete my end of the bargain for Christmas Supper! It's all good though! LOL
Tonight, a bunch of co-workers/friends/family are going Christmas Caroling. HAha...the likes of this, I'm sure this town has never seen, so we will sing, laugh, dance and be merry whilst spreading some cheer! It should definitely be fun; if nothing else, it will become a great memory!!
 On that note, let's get to spreading some LOVE shall we......

Here's my take on the photo! 

Lovie Tobie is placed atop a die cut book shape with multiple pages (added by moi) from Susie's Die Cut Dreams Store. The large die cut hearts are all from her store as well. The wee hearts floating around there on acetate are from Tobies clear stamp set & Romantic Gwens stamp set. Both of these stamp sets are for sale at the Some Odd Girl Store.
