Hoppy Easter!

Hello, all, it's Lauren here again. I just couldn't resist making one more Easter card featuring Eyelet Outlet's adorable Chocolate Bunny and Pastel Rabbit Brads:

This idea was pretty serendipitous: I just happened to have a roll of Rabbit Washi Tape sitting on my work table next to a few pieces of vintage sheet music I had used for a different project, when I noticed that the space between the treble and bass clefs was exactly the same size as the tape... clearly it was meant to frame some super-cute Easter goodness!

One of my favorite things about Eyelet Outlet is that the packets of animal brads always contain some critters that face right and some that face left... which means they can interact! I liked the idea that the bunnies on the tape and the bunny brads could talk to each other via Easter Bubble Brads, so I added a few of those. Since the shape was kind of long and narrow, I decided this should be a tall card, and matted the little scene with a few papers that would make those yummy Chocolate Bunny Brads stand out!

Wishing an especially Happy Easter to everyone who is celebrating!

"Brilliant Ideas" Altered Notebook by Lauren Bergold

Hi, I'm Lauren, and I'm excited to be here! Being chosen for the Eyelet Outlet design team isn't all fun and games, though. It actually gave me the best "problem" ever: Which of the many, many, awesome styles of Eyelet Outlet shaped brads should I use first? Turns out, it's impossible to choose just one. So I didn't.

I've been jotting down project ideas in this little notebook for a while, but it still had a plain, not-very-inspiring kraft paper cover.

Now it's bursting with color and I can't wait to make something else... in fact I think I'll go do that right now. I hope you will, too!

Eyelet Outlet goodies used in this project:
(I'm kind of hoping this *might* be a record, in terms of quantity, lol!)

PS: The light bulb icon is hand-drawn, but it was inspired by
these adorable Light Bulb Brads which I predict you'll love as much as I do! ♥

My name is Lauren and I love making stuff, especially out of paper. I love collage, art journaling, gift wrapping, altered art, mixed media and --especially-- making cards. I've never met an embellishment I didn't love, but the *sparkly* ones are my favorites! Vintage paper is like catnip to me. I like projects with LOTS of layers and tons of texture. I spend more time thinking about adhesives than the average person. Ideas sometimes wake me up at night. I love bright colors, found objects and... did I mention... sparkly things? There is usually ink, paint, dye or embossing paste stuck to me somewhere, and often a little bit of each. To answer the two questions I get asked the most: YES, I am always this silly, and YES, I know there's glitter on my face. My personal blog is called All the Good Blog Names Were Taken and I'd love for you to come visit me there.
