WE CHICKS NEED TO STICK TOGETHER!

I don't know about you, but I have a group of best friends that are the craziest, funniest, each unique, and the most loyal group of women I have ever met in my life. We love to craft together, go shopping together, cry together when things are rough, have holiday parties together, all gather around to protect an injured flock member, and sometimes we even just go out for afternoon tea and scones. We even have a “callout” word we use when we are shopping and get separated….”CAW CAW”…yes, like a bird….hahaha. These women are my peeps and I choose them to be park of my flock and am more than honored to have them in my hen house. This card is dedicated to them – I love and cherish you all so very much and cannot thank you enough for your friendships.

To create this card, I die cut all the pieces out and colored them in with alcohol markers to give them their own personalities and, of course the maximum sassiness available! I’m not going to say which chicken is based off which friend, but I think they will figure it out.

For example, one chicken has beautiful blue eyes made with Eyelet Outlet’s blue jewel bling, crazy-fun hair and she is sporting some sassy cat-eye glasses from the Women’s Eyeglasses Brads that show us her true inner diva! LOVE!

Another one of my chicks, of course, is wearing a tiara from the Crown and Tiara brads because… why not! And you can't go shopping without a designer handbag from the Shoe and Purse brads collection.

The last chicken has beautiful golden jewel bling eyes that highlight her poppin’ pink glasses. She, of course, in raisin’ the roof to get the party started!

The hen house has a little egg in there from the Egg Brads just reminding us there is always something waiting for us to tend to at home.

When you have a group of crazy friends like I do, you have to stick together and never let them clucking go! They are priceless, precious, and make your life so much more of an adventure than you could ever imagine.

Find your chicks and stick together.

Have a wonderful week and always be STRATE-UP CRAFTY!

Think Spring

It is time to "think spring" with this adorable brad that is part
of the Easter Bubble Set at Eyelet Outlet.  These little sayings are
great to tuck into any card design.

Since it is spring -- flowers are a must.  I used the daisy set of brads from
Eyelet Outlet. This is such a great set and comes in a variety of colors.

Finally, I used the chevron washi tape to add some extra color
to the corners of the card. An example of the washi tape
is shown so you can see all the different colors on this
fabulous tape.

Hop To It!

It's time to hop to it! Easter is almost here. This card includes two of my most favorite things - tags and a shaker. I used several Eyelet Outlet products on this one. Here's the list:

Products

All the brads I used compliment each other and the colors work so well together with my background paper and tags. I look forward to giving this to someone special. What are you making for Easter this year?

Thanks for stopping by today. Please visit the store for all your brads, washi tape, bling and paper flowers!

Never Leave Two Bunny Cards Alone On Your Blog...

...because when you come back, there'll be *three* bunny cards! See?

Hi guys, it's Lauren here with a trio of Easter cards I hope EVERYBUNNY will love! Card one features my favorite new Bunny Tape, which I love because it's got loads of fun spring colors. I accented the purple on this card with a few strips of Skinny Glitter Purple Tape. A pair of purple Paper Flowers holds a couple of adorable Rabbit Brads who are wishing us a happy holiday via an Easter Bubble Brad.

My second card uses the same Bunny Tape, but this time instead of covering the whole panel, I've alternated strips with Pink Checked TapeSkinny Pink Washi and Skinny Green Washi. I've stacked one pink and one white Paper Flower to make a little spot for two Pastel Rabbit Brads and another Easter Bubble.

My third card is a bit of a cheat, because that beautiful Rabbit Wide Washi Tape is exclusive to the Eyelet Outlet Booth and isn't available through the online store! Which gives you all the more reason to check out the Trade Show List on the right sidebar, so you can be sure to know when Eyelet Outlet is coming to your town! I've added a few strips of Skinny Green Tape and this time a pair of Chocolate Bunnies is talking through an Easter Bubble, on top of a few white Paper Flowers.

There are even more cool Easter brads and tapes in the online store and in the EO booth... I'm positive you can find YOUR favorites!

wishes EVERYBUNNY who's celebrating
a very Happy Easter!

How Many Bunnies...

...does it take to fill the Eyelet Outlet Blog? I confess that I (Lauren) don't know the answer; which is just as well, since however many we started with, there'd no doubt be more by the time we finished!

Then there's the question of which bunnies we'd choose, because of course the Eyelet Outlet Store has a few varieties: there are realistic looking Rabbit BradsPastel Rabbit Brads (both of which I've used on my cards) as well as adorable Chocolate Bunny Brads.

When it comes to tape, we've got the two I've used for my card backgrounds: Black and White Rabbit Washi and Colorful Rabbit Washi.

Not to mention cuuuute Bunny Washi and Easter Bunny Washi. I've used colorful Chevron Tape, as well, on both my cards.

I also love the Easter Bubble Brads and Spring Bubble Brads, to let my bunnies have their say.

But of course there's much more to Easter than bunnies: there are Egg BradsColored Egg BradsEgg QuickletsOval Egg BlingOval JewelsCross Brads... well, let's just say I don't think you'll run out of choices any time soon, so head on over to the Eyelet Outlet Store and start planning your Easter cards right now!

will be happy to help you eat up any delicious chocolate Easter candy
that might be superfluous to your requirements!

Chickie Hop

It's Kim from Katydid Cards.  Today for my design team post for Eyelet Outlet I wanted to use these adorable Easter Bubble Brads.  They are all so cute I wanted to be able to use more than one, so I looked through my sizable collection of stamps and found one I thought would work well.  Here's my card...don't you think they were meant to go together?

I made a card with lots of layers so I could incorporate the colors of the Bubble Brads.

The stamp is from Stampendous.  It's called Chickie Hop.  I used Copic markers to color it and then attached the brads so that each chickie had something to say.  Here's a closer look:

I thought long and hard about the sentiment I wanted to use inside the card.  I knew I wanted to play off the name of the Easter Bubbles and stamp; this is what I came up with.

Thanks for visiting with me today!  See you next time.

Wide Washi Wonderful

I recently discovered wide washi tape ... and I'm in love.

How fun is this great Happy Easter Wide Washi Tape design.

The Easter Eggs (soon to be Easter Chicks) are wishing you a Happy Easter.

I want to cover every surface in my studio with this Wide Glitter Book Washi Tape ... it has an absolutely gorgeous sparkle (with no glittery mess).

I used a tall & thin card design (4" x 7 1/2") to create my book shelf ... attaching the tape to green cardstock created a depth of color behind the books.

And of course, no library is complete without a stack of books (new brads coming to the store soon) and a cup of coffee (or in my case, Chai).  Sentiment is from STAMPlorations Literary Caffeine-ations.

Side-step Easter Card

Hi everyone!  I hope you had a great Valentine's Day yesterday! Today I'm skipping right over the next holiday or two (at least for now!) and bringing you a little Easter scene on a side-step card. The three tiers of the card are great for building a 3-dimensional diorama, while the larger side panel gives a bit more space to work in.  This fold is lots of fun and really easy to put together.

I used decorative papers and two border punches to create a blooming tiered garden for some cute little bunny rabbit bradsMini flower brads peek through the picket fence, and the sun shines from behind the clouds.  Even the sentiment is an Easter bubble brad so this card required no stamping whatsoever.

We've got less than a week until Mardi Gras, about a month until St. Patrick's Day, and more than 8 weeks until Easter, so now's a good time to make your shopping list and get organized for the upcoming holidays!  Plan ahead so you don't end up in a pinch!

Wishing You a Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone! For those celebrating today, here is a little Easter greeting for you!
What could be cuter than a basket of bunnies?

I think the little Pastel Rabbit Brads are adorable - not only for Easter, but for cute Spring greetings too! You can find them in the Eyelet Outlet Store here. And of course they are sending Easter greetings using the Easter Bubble Brads (also great for upcoming Spring greetings!).

I also used Checked Washi Tape in Pink to ground the basket. I added it to my card panel before the dry embossing, and it blended in beautifully with the floral background.
 I'm looking forward to Spring!

Hoppy Easter!

Hello, all, it's Lauren here again. I just couldn't resist making one more Easter card featuring Eyelet Outlet's adorable Chocolate Bunny and Pastel Rabbit Brads:

This idea was pretty serendipitous: I just happened to have a roll of Rabbit Washi Tape sitting on my work table next to a few pieces of vintage sheet music I had used for a different project, when I noticed that the space between the treble and bass clefs was exactly the same size as the tape... clearly it was meant to frame some super-cute Easter goodness!

One of my favorite things about Eyelet Outlet is that the packets of animal brads always contain some critters that face right and some that face left... which means they can interact! I liked the idea that the bunnies on the tape and the bunny brads could talk to each other via Easter Bubble Brads, so I added a few of those. Since the shape was kind of long and narrow, I decided this should be a tall card, and matted the little scene with a few papers that would make those yummy Chocolate Bunny Brads stand out!

Wishing an especially Happy Easter to everyone who is celebrating!
