Old Irish Blessing

With St. Patrick's Day around the corner, my mind turned to leprechauns and thought our little gnome brad must certainly be a close cousin.  There's two styles wearing four different colored clothes in each package, but of course, for this card, I chose the one in green.

Beneath the sentiment I added one of our pretty little rainbow brads and I also used the cloud brad from cloud and sun set in my little scene.  I used some of our jewel strips for the "gold" in the pot and a strip of skinny green washi tape across the bottom of the scene.

Wishing you a wonderfully lucky day!

Altered Paper Clips

I've got a new craft to show you today.  Well, it's new to me.  Altered paper clips have been showing up on Pinterest for a while now, but I recently gave them a try and I'm hooked on them! I've made mine out of felt and cut with my Cricut Maker and rotary blade. I had all kinds of fun embellishing them with brads from Eyelet Outlet.

Check out the gorgeous new rose brads! There are red, pink and these pink and white variegated ones I've used today. I paired them with a leaf brad and a mini bee brad.

These make great bookmarks or accessories for planners and journals.  I also created this cute little card to attach them to for gift giving.  I added some skinny green washi tape to the top and I added a heart brad to the white one.

I added some slits in the card for them to slide in to.  Here's what the backs look like.

Ideas for these keep coming thanks to all the amazing brads available at Eyelet Outlet so I think you'll be seeing me share a few more of these in the future!  Thanks for being here today and be sure to watch Eyelet Outlet for new releases any day now!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

I love a good holiday party don't you? A great holiday dress for the season is a must. I've glammed up this classic dress with Holiday Bling. The card background is make of alternating stripes of Skinny Washi tape and Stripe Foil Washi. The edges are trimmed with Sparkle White Glitter Washi tape.

This card is simple to make and it's definitely festive. It will likely go to a girlfriend who appreciates a good dress like I do!

Happy Creating Everyone!

A Trio of Couples

Nothing's cuter than a happy couple, especially if we're talking about a COUPLE of Eyelet Outlet Brads, dressed up for the holidays; like Santa and Mrs. ClausMr. and Mrs. G. Bread, or our sweet Snow Couple!

The other day I came across a set of tiny shaped tag dies I bought in January and realized I had not yet used them?! My first thought was that ATC's would be the perfect size, and that I should start with the Snow Couple. A background of blue paper with polka dots seemed like a tiny snowscape and I love this woodgrain cardstock for extra texture. I added a strip of Pink Checked Tape and solid pink Skinny Tape to represent the strong vertical line of the sketch.

Santa and Mrs. Claus are probably the most famous Christmas couple, and the heart of the North Pole. I rotated the sketch and added Heart Washi and Red Stripe Foil Tape this time.

The Gingerbread Brads are the newest in the EO line-up, but they're very sweet... in every sense! This time I flipped the sketch and paired them with Poinsettia Tape and Skinny Striped Washi.

ATC's are always fun to make and swap; OR you can build them into the focal point of a bigger tag or card. And there's definitely an Eyelet Outlet Brad to suit every taste!

Pine Cone Tag

It seems like the Eyelet Outlet Design Team has been playing a little game of tag the last few days, and today I'm it!

Here's one that's perfect for a man on your gift giving list this holiday season as it's a little more on the masculine side.

This tag features our pine cone brads as well as a strip of our popular wood grain washi tape as well as a strip of skinny green check washi tape.

This one would also look great on packages wrapped in kraft paper.

Have You Heard the Scoop?

Have you heard the scoop?  Eyelet Outlet has just released ice cream cone brads and today I've got a couple of cards featuring them!

First up is a card that has all three flavor combinations.  The ice cream paper I used is a from a digital paper set from Erin Bradley's Etsy Shop and I've also used our pink bow glitter washi tape and pink check skinny washi tape.  Some pink pearl stick on gems accent the scalloped circle.

Next up is a card that's a sweet way to say, "I'm sorry," which would be great as a belated birthday card.

The little girl is from the Cricut image library and her face is a digital stamp from Peachy Keen Stamps.  A pink enamel heart adds a touch more texture.

Thanks for being with us today!  Be sure to join the Eyelet Outlet Fans group on Facebook and show us how you've used the new ice cream cone brads!

Shining a Light on our Light Bulb Brads

Next time you're shopping the Eyelet Outlet store, don't forget to check out our clearance section before you check out!  You never know what kind of goodies you'll find there!  Today I've got 3 card ideas for you using our light bulb brads from the clearance section.

First up a fun thank you card with a little play on words.  I've used two of the yellow bulbs from the set suspended from a thin line and added some of our stick on bling to give the bulbs some shine.  I've also added a strip of our beautiful star glitter washi tape and a strip of skinny yellow washi tape.

Here's a cute way to check in on a friend and ask "Watt's Up"!  For this card, I wanted some patterned paper and actually made my own.  I used a light bulb image from Cricut's School Time Doodles image set.  I randomly placed them on the my rectangle card base used print then cut to create my patterned paper background.  I like the way the yellow bulb popped against the black and white color scheme.

This sentiment, from Cricut's Rad & Happy image set really made me laugh because it's totally ME when I'm making a card!  Sometimes I overthink projects to death!  Here I've used the white light bulb from the set and some clear stick on bling.  I also used one of Eyelet Outlet's emotion brads.  This one looked like he was really thinking things over!  Some black and white stripe skinny washi tape added a little frame around the card.

Stay well, keep crafting, and enjoy the day, friends!

You're An All-Star!

This high top shoe from Cricut's Suburbia image set has made me smile from the first time I saw it, years ago, but what really ELEVATED it was adding Eyelet Outlet eyelets to it!  I also added blue enamel stars to this card, in the sentiment as well as on the shoe's patch.

I used both dark and faded blue jean patterned paper to form a cuff and then I had some fun with three different Eyelet Outlet washi tapes to create a border for my card.  Strips of red and white washi tape are accentuated by skinny red as well as skinny black and white washi tape.

Glad you stopped in today!  Stay healthy, happy, and keep crafting!

For the Record

Eyelet Outlet Record Brads, that is! They're the newest release in the EO Store and bound to be a big hit if you ask me (Lauren)! Here are a couple of cards I made:

As often happens, I had two ideas. In this case one was pretty minimal and one was... ummmmm... not, lol. Let's start with the maximalist version: A long sentiment made of Dymo labels and foam stickers, with the O's swapped out in favor of the larger Record Brads, with a few extra large and small records scattered about, and a band of Skinny Tape at the top and bottom.

And here's the minimalist take: shorter sentiment, but again the Record Brads stand in for the O's in "You Rock". In addition to scattering a few more records, I've added some Music Note Brads and some tiny red Star Sequins over a few stenciled stars.

When you can't decided between two ideas, why not MAKE BOTH! I promise, we have plenty of Eyelet Outlet Brads for you to experiment with!

is old enough to know that
the Big Records are LP's or albums
and the small ones are 45's or singles.
(& YES she had tons of both Back in the Day!)

You Rock!

I'm excited to show you a project today that features Eyelet Outlet's newest brad!  We now have records in the Eyelet Outlet store - both LP's and 45's, so let's get ready to ROCK!

My Cricut machine was instrumental in creating this card.  I started out with two sound wave image from Cricut's Sound Wave image set and two 5" x 3 1/2" rectangles on my design canvas.  First, I centered then sliced a sound wave image into one of the rectangles. I added my sentiment to this rectangle, omitting the "O" in "Rock," since my record brad was going to serve that purpose.  On the second rectangle, I centered and attached the sound wave image, setting the image to draw rather than cut, ending up with two rectangles looking like this:

Next it was time for the skinny washi tape!  Eyelet Outlet has oodles of colors and patterns, but I stuck to the solids in a rainbow of colors.

Using the drawn lines of the sound wave, I was able to apply my washi tape exactly where it needed to be and then I adhered the two rectangles together and applied my record brad as well as some Eyelet Outlet music note brads for a finishing touch!

Thanks for stopping in and enjoy the day with those you love!

So Doggone Cute

That's the way I (Lauren) would describe the Eyelet Outlet Long Dog Brads, but don't take my word for it, have a look for yourself:

These cards are pretty streamlined because let's face it if you have the adorable Long Dogs and an awesome sentiment (in Avery font) you don't need much else really. Ok maybe some fab Geomettic Washi, but that's about it.

I made the background of my second card by alternating strips of Paw Washi with some really fun Skinny Plaid Tape. The Long Dogs have wiggled their way between the two lines of sentiment which is spelled out in a free font called Cafe Rojo.

Not only do the Long Dogs look cute, I think they've given us some really good advice; and also... they're on sale right now!

Happy Easter

It's a wet and chilly day here in Central Texas, but Spring is in the air at Eyelet Outlet!  We have some of the prettiest Spring washi tapes and fabulous Spring themed brads you will find anywhere and today I'll be showing you just a few.

I started out with this cute "Easter" border from Cricut's "Celebrate All Year Long," image set, not really knowing what I'd use as a background paper.  I tried a number of different colors and patterns, but then I spied this gorgeous wide floral washi tape on my craft table and knew it would be perfect peeking out from behind the Easter eggs.

What's Easter without some chocolate bunnies?  Our little chocolate bunny brads are so cute alongside our Easter egg brads, don't you think?

See you next week!  Until then, keep on crafting!
