Christmas Is Always Closer than You Think

It's only summer, but while you're spending lazy days at the beach the holidays keep approaching.  With that in mind I've been thinking about Christmas cards.  Most of my cards go out in the mail.  If they are full of layers and embellies it gets expensive.  So "Clean and Simple" cards are the way to go.

For this card the image was embossed with gold onto a paper with a text design.  The edges of the papers are sponged with Ranger "Scattered Straw" and "Antique Linen" distress inks.   This card could be sent to anyone regardless of their religious beliefs (or lack of them) and it's appropriate for a man.

Here's the deets:
stamps - Rubber Stampede "Winter Woods"; Amuse "A Warm Hello"
ink - Versamark "Watermark" and Memento :Cottage Ivy"
paper - K & Co "Life's Journey"; Stampin' Up "Soft Suede" cs; scrap of green card cs
miscellaneous - gold embossing powder; ribbon; red bling; Spellbinder's "Ribbon Tags Trio"

Here's the challenges:
ABC Christmas - K is for Keep It Simple
4 Crafty  Chicks #92 - Branching Out
CASual Fridays CFC65 - Put a Bling On It
CRAFT #157 - Background Text

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you'll come back again.
