One year. . . already?

Time Flies!
Happy Anniversary Guys!
We love ya! And miss seeing you around! Come play games!! Dang it!!

A new favorite for the holiday season . . .

I am LOVING it! Yum! And it's on sale at Wal-Mart right now for .75 cents! I think we might go stock up!

By the way . . .

Does ANYONE know how to get that silly Bookmark Button OFF my layout?!?! It drives me crazy. It was leftover from a previous layout that I had for about one minute. I can not for the life of me get rid of it. I tried to erase it on my html code, but no luck there yet. If anyone has any advice, I would very much appreciate it! :)

This would be the banner for our blog, if I didn't like the current one so well. Oh well.

And... just a thought that I used on my program cover last week for Sacrament Meeting. I really liked it!

“And now, my beloved brothers and sisters, what must we do this Christmas season—and always?  Why, we must do the same as the Wise Men of old. They sought out the Christ and found Him. And so must we. Those who are wise still seek Him today.

Black Friday

We had a great Friday. No, we didn't get up and go shopping at 5:00AM like most of Richfield. We slept in and then went shopping in the afternoon. We kinda just wandered around and had a relaxing day.

But we did get to put up our Christmas decorations!! Yay!! It was a lot of fun! Of course we have a fake tree... but fun anyways!

Happy Thanksgiving!!

I hope that ya'll have a great day filled with fun and food!!

Here are some things that I am thankful for!!

*My Husband! He is one of the coolest people I know!! He is so patient with me and always takes care of me! He is so understanding and loving! I love him!!

*Adoption! I am so excited to adopt and expand our little family. I am so thankful for the adoption program that provides us with the opportunity to raise a child in our home.

*The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I love the peace that I feel knowing the principles of the Gospel. I love the support and love that being a member of the Church provides. I love knowing that we can be an eternal family. I love the joy that the Gospel brings me in my everyday life.

*My Family. I am thankful for the continued support that our families give us. The road of adoption has been a long, trying process, but through it all we know that we have the love and support that we need to get through it all. They are excited for us to adopt and we appreciate the support they continue to show.

*My Home. I love the feeling of being home. I love the the home that our house has become. I love the spirit that resides in our home. I love taking care of it and making it an enjoyable place to live.

*The Holidays! I love the holidays! I love that we can get together with our families on the Holidays. It's such a great time of year full of love and togetherness.

*Friends. I love all my friends. Old and new. I know when things don't go perfectly right... I can fall back on my friends. I can always find a friend that can relate in one way or another. That is what helps me get through the hard times.

*My Trials. I am thankful that I am able to go through trials and tribulations and come out of them a better person. I know my trials are what make me me and make me who I have become. I am truly blessed.

*My Hannah. I miss her and love her, but I am thankful that I was able to hold her in my arms for a short time here on Earth. I am thankful of the knowledge of knowing that if we are faithful and worthy, we will see and hold our baby again. She is truly a blessing in our lives. She keeps me going and reminds me what I need to be doing to better my life.

*My Job. I love spending time with all of the kids in all the different schools. I love all that they teach me. I like using my brain and learning new things. Things I have long forgotten!!

I know these are just the basics... but I really am thankful for the life that I have and the happiness that surrounds me. My life is completely different than I ever imagined it to be... but you know what... it's better. I would never change it for the world. I love all the things that make me ME!

Slideshow Issues

So I thought it would be fun to use the sideshow element on blogger.... but for some reason it isn't bring up my pictures from my Flickr account. All the info is in correctly and still.... someone elses random pictures. Any suggestions?

Walmart

We went to Wal-Mart last night to get some Thanksgiving ingredients and saw this...

It made me laugh.

Buffalo Hunt

Last Friday, Brandon, Dustyn and I drove out to the Henrie Mountains to go hunting buffalo with my Grandpa. There we met my Dad, Grandpa, Uncles Danny, Scott, Ray, Matt, and Pete. We had a great time!! I love going hunting with my family. Of course, it was a boys weekend away, but I snuck in on the fun. Whether they wanted me there or not... I was there to stay and I had a great time!! We rode wheelers, saw some big deer, went on a few short hikes, drove around in the truck and did a LOT of playing in the dust! We even got to see a buffalo that the neighboring camp had killed. Actually everyone (besides me) helped to skin, bag and hike it out. They are some large animals. Too bad I don't have a picture. But I was really sad that the weekend went so fast and that it was time to come home. Here are some pics of the exciting weekend!!

2007 Thanksgiving with Dustyn's Family!

It was a great day and everything turned out great! There was a lot of good food, fun and family! It was so good to have everyone there and to see everyone! Here is a picture of our entire family on Dustyn's side. Of course the camera was on a timer so that we could all be in the picture so there was no entertainment to keep the children's attention! So I guess you get what you can!! :)They all crack me up. :) Someone is pulling a funny face in every picture. Too funny!

I'm FINISHED!!

For tonight anyways!!

Calendars are copied, kitchen is clean and food is cooked.

And it's only 1:00AM! :)

I love days like this.

I'm wasted.

It's been a busy, but productive day. Dustyn's family is having Thanksgiving tomorrow. I have been cooking all day.

I started out making about 150 suckers. I made cinnamon, root beer, spearmint, raspberry, and butter rum. It was kinda fun! It was the first time that I have ever made suckers. I decided to make a treat for the class I am subbing next week and for Thanksgiving treats of course. They are shaped like turkeys and a leaf!

Next I made a Coconut Cream Pie, Banana Cream Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, Pecan Pie, and a Pumpkin Cheesecake all from scratch. (except I cheated a bought pie crusts. Just too much to do!) I also made a Oreo striped dessert! YUM!

I also made Creamed Corn yesterday. It took around 6 hours to bake, so I had to make it early. But tonight I made Green Beans with almonds, onions and bacon and a vinegar type dressing. And swiss cheese green beans. I am excited to try them tomorrow!!

Of course we couldn't have Thanksgiving (or any family gathering for that matter) without Spinach Dip and French Bread. So I made that and cut up 4 loaves of French Bread. And some Olive/Cream Cheese Dip.

Can't forget the Ham/Egg/Cheese tortillas that I made for lunch! YUM!! (Yes, I ate ham!! But it was cooked well and covered in eggs, cheese and in a tortilla... otherwise I wouldn't have.)

Plus I had to make like 10 trips to Wal-Mart/Albertson's today! I even had lists!! Ha ha!! I'm a dork.

I did really well and kept up the dishes and kept the kitchen clean as I went along so it wouldn't be a huge deal to clean up afterwards... But the last little while I slacked off. Now I have a big mess in the kitchen and my feet just hurt too darn bad to go clean it. I would save it for tomorrow, but I still have to bake both pans of green beans, warm up the corn, whip the cream for the pies, and pack everything up plus go to church.

Dustyn has been busy today editing a video for a customer. It's been fun for him because it is a Church History Video.

Oh my!! I just remembered that I have not made my calendar/Newsletter copies for church tomorrow!! Sheesh, what a day!! I better run to the church and make copies!! Otherwise I might be in trouble!!

Off I go!! Goodnight!

Or maybe I should say: Got rake?

question?

When I look at my blog on my computer, the title at the top is the perfect size. Everything looks good... like this.

What do you see? I know that everything is different on my computer. I have a widescreen and a Mac... so you know of course it looks perfect on my screen. But if it is hanging off and annoying for everyone else... I might think about changing it. Just for ya'll.

Suggestions Needed!

Does anyone have any suggestions on a November picture for the title of my blog?? I don't have a scarecrow. I don't want to take a picture of a turkey. I could take leaf pictures... but that seams more October to me... hmm.... I don't know. I just don't have any great ideas. So if anyone does, let me know!

Dustyn and I are going to do a picture a day blog next year if anyone wants to join in. I just want to experiment and learn more about photography. It might help Dustyn have more examples for his photography class... so I think it will be fun. My goal is to make it a whole year! We might do topics, certain compositions, textures, etc. (try out all kinds of different techniques). So we will be starting the first of January if anyone would like to join us! I am super excited! Yay!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Dustyn and I are working on our Christmas cards! We got 15 finished tonight! Nice! I will have to take a few pictures and post them. They are fun! We make all kinds of different ones... so everyone gets an original Dustyn or Kamie card. It is a lot of work and I have NO idea why we started this tradition, but it is fun!
