I have the most annoying toothbrush and I never think about needing a new one until I am home using it.
I have the WORST gag reflex. If I think about gagging, I gag. Brushing my teeth is a chore that I hate doing because I usually end up gagging and dry heaving for half of an hour. So when I brush my teeth I am so very careful to not let the toothpaste near the back of my mouth. Well the toothbrush that I have now... LOSES BRISTLES WHILE I AM BRUSHING! NOT A GOOD IDEA!!! They get stuck on my tongue and various other places in my mouth. When this happens... I have no choice but to start gagging. It's horrible! I need a new toothbrush. You would think that this would be enough to make me go buy a new one, huh?

I ALWAYS gag when I am brushing my teeth, too! It's way worse when I'm pregnant, too. I've found that if you find a good toothpaste then it doesn't happen as much. But I'm like you, I have the worst gag reflex. I hate it!
I hate it too!! It was worse when I was pregnant too... in fact that is when it got really really bad and I have never been the same since! Grr...
Any suggestions on Toothpaste? I have tried every brand trying to find the magic one that doesn't make me gag. I have even used kids toothpaste. I can't find anything that I can take.
Funny thing is that right now I am using the Listerine toothpaste... and even know it is super strong... it is the one that I can take the best. Kinda weird to me! Ha ha!
But when you find the cure, let me know! :)
I don't know if there is a "cure". I hate it! A toothpaste will work good for me for awhile and then I start getting sick of it! I would just buy the cheap little "sample" toothpastes for like $1 and when I found one that worked best, I would go buy a full tube of it.
I have found though that the stronger stuff works good because it kind of shocks you so much that you can't think about anything else! hahaha! Right now I am using the Aquafresh Extreme Clean. That has worked well. Also, Colgate Total Advanced Clean has been working well for me, too.
