6 years of Bliss!

Broc and I celebrated our 6 year anniversary on January 22! It landed on a Fridoay, so Broc took the day off. We started it by going to the Jordan River Temple.

Then we headed back to our house, got ready and rushed to make our dinner reservation,

at Christophers!

I am in love with their food and it was perfect because it is where we had our wedding luncheon. We tried their lobster bisque for the first time and it was amazing!

We both enjoyed steaks. The only difference is mine was cooked and Broc's was...

still mooing! (Notice the puddle of blood on the plate- gross.)

Of course we finished off our four course meal with my favorite- Creme Brulee!

That night we stayed at Anniversary Inn- Treasure Island!

We found the hidden treasure!

The next day we ate lunch at Gourmandise, a little bakery downtown.

And spent the day at the spa, enjoying some steam and massages!

Oh it was perfect! Such a great anniversary! Thanks babe for all of the wonderful surprises!

After the spa, we decided to go back to the bakery and stock up on some of their delicious desserts!

Yummmm!

It was so nice to spend time just the two of us! Thanks Ernie and Lesli for watching Crew.

That weekend Broc and I were able to read through our patriarchal blessings and some of our old journals of things we had recorded from right before we were married, some advice we had been given, and things we had written on our honeymoon. It is crazy to think that it has been 6 years! I feel that it has been 6 years of bliss! Of course there are always things in life that arise that may be different than what you had planned. I have been thinking a lot lately about the unknown of our future, or even the unknown of what will happen in 5 months when the baby is born, where we will be 7 months from now, and the "whys" about why things happen like they do. But as we read through those things, it made me recognize that no matter where we are or what we don't have or what we haven't accomplished, we have something so special... each other. Something that I am so grateful for. I feel that this life is really about "finding joy in the journey". Something that is so difficult to do at times, especially when the journey seems to go in a different direction than you thought. I can't help but feel overwhelmed at the blessing of an amazing companion I have to laugh with and make this journey so much fun! Broc you are my best friend and I love you so much! I can't wait to see where life takes us in the years to come! I am so grateful that I get to spend it with you!
