A year calendar

I've been quite busy lately with real life.  I've so many new ideas in my mind but very little time to actually made the ideas. These year calendars has been in my things to do list for ages. Finally I get these ready. The other one is made for children and the other one for ladies who like nostalgia.

Rosamargarita (among many others) has kind request about the verification. I don't like it eather and because of that I ask my readers to unable the varification because "I am not a robot" like Marina and the Diamonds says.

7th December

Here comes post just quickly some pictures of todays surprises. I've been working with computer the whole day and my eyes are getting too tired. Today my morning started when my son said me that "Mom, its like you have a christmas everyday, because you have that advent calendar". He sure was right about that.
First, here is something I send for Torhild. The embroidery was my first try! Torhild send me this beautiful christmas tree. I love it! I couldn't get the picture right but I can assure you that it is perfect little tree.
And here comes all the stunning minis from Sari and Tiina.  Sari had made the yellow purse with tiny little pearls. It is amazing. How can she made such a perfect little evening purse?  Please, don't look my nails. I should probably do some photoshopping before I publish the pictures...

Tiina made this box with maybe keys to someones heart? The box is for memories.

But about the two swaps I was telling you. I got this lovely chance to participate to a swap called "the attic". Here are the perfect little gifts I recieved.

Crocheted dresses and lots of other goodies

Occasionally I sell my miniatures here. Some time ago a lady bought my minis and a few days earlier I had bought her crocheted dresses. So, she suggested me that we should swap our minis. This took place in May but finally we both got ready with our creations and the swap was made. If you are interested of buying her dresses you can see her listings here.
I send for her this old chest of drawers, a cradle, a toy gun, water running belt and shoes, some newspapers, Scrabble -table game, a whisk and some groceries.

Here are the stunning gifts she send for me. Be ready because it is not a short list of pictures. I really was amazed when I opened the parcel, because all of these are so beautiful and made with great talent.
Beautifully crocheted bedcover in pastels and white. This is perfect for the master bedroom.
An another crocheted bedcover.
Very nice and soft shawl for the study.
Two soft and beautiful carpet wiht matching pillows.
A yellow crocheted dress.

A light pink crocheted dress.
A tiny white crocheted dress.
An orange crocheted dress (the smaller doll is for the white dress)
Gorgeous blue dress. All the dresses are wearable and so wellmade that all I can do is wonder her gift with the crochet needle.

Summer swap with Torhild

Do you remember my friend Torhild from Norge? We had this little summer swap with her and her part of the swap arrived today.
I like the lavender very much. I even have lavender in growing in my greenhouse and the tiny cherrys which looks so delicious that you could eat those. The chair is just perfect if you want to sit down in your garden and want to have a bite of marsipan chocolate with a good book.

Here you can see what I send for her. I hope the parcel has already arrived to her so this won't be a spoiler. I know that her children are into swimming so I hope she'll know that these gear are for water running. Thank you so much Torhild.

Cradel

I was inspired by this webpage where they represent finnish rural furnitures. This cradle was common in 17th and 18th century but the design was known in the midleage also. They used to carve the runner in the shape of fish tail as you can see. They also believed that the children sleeping in the cradle will be tall if the cradle rocks longitudinal.

New sofabed

This sofabed is for my friend Gillian. She was my christmas swap partner (You remember from Caterinas blog, right?) and we decided to have an another swap also. Gillian liked my rustic sofabed and since I'm not very good with fabrics (as you know) she kindly agreed to make the beddings for me. She is very talented quilt maker. I'll mail this for Gillian this week and I hope she likes it.
The rabbit is from Wii game "Raimond the Raiving Rabbits". Do you know the game?

And the new sofabed with mattress

Yes, you know me when I get started I can't stop. I just had to make the mattress ready today.

Something new for my rustic collection

I've got a new toy as an early christmas gift from my husband and mother and guess what it is? It was a scroll saw. I love it because now I can make all kind of curls to my furnitures etc. This country style or rustic style sofa is my first piece of furniture I have made with the new toy. Ok, I'll have to admit that I had to make the upper peace 3 times before I got it right. The sofa is still missing a mattress, I was thinking of a blue striped or something like that. What do you think about the sofa?
