Games We Played As Kids In The 70's!

Welcome to the 1970's and a host of unforgettable boardgames we played as kids in the 70's!

During this era, technology had not advanced so much and people used to get entertained with a collection of creative and exciting board games and toys. Some of the popular board games of the 1970's include Operation, Mouse Trap, Stratego, Yahtzee and Mystery Date.

Retro playing cards

This photo is taken by Sanne.
I have been selling some of my minis at a new facebook fleamarket. I've met so many new people there when selling my little games.

One of my new customer was so nice that she published a beautiful photo with my little Pekka-game in it. The photo was so nice that I asked if I can publish it in my blog.

I've also made a tiny traffic-game and little donkey game. These are quite tiny as you can see.

Purchases and Fortuna game

I purchased some very special clothes made by Léa Frisoni. I ordered from her ateliér this lovely little dress and mathcing bonnet.
I made a game called Fortuna. I've earlier made this game but with red paintings. This one is more suitable for older dollshouses.

These are made by Torhild. I love the little candy canes and the chrystal decorations for the christmas tree are stunning.
These I recieved from Maisa. These are perfect little books for my study.

This lovely sign is made by Minimami.
This very nice cushion is made by Aino. I like the retro colours very much. It is perfect on the sofabed I made earlier this year.

Birthday gift for Jaana

Jaana had her birthday a week ago. For her I made some groceries, a game, news paper and a toy gun. I also send some Tilda fabrics and scrab-papers for her future projects. Happy birthday Jaana!

What would you say, if I arranged a birthday swap for next year? Would you be intrested to participate? If so make a comment to this post and I'll arrange one. (If there is many who would be intrested, I shall make a list of who will be sending their gifts to whom so there won't be 20+++ birthday gifts for everyone. Maybe one/month or every other month would be an ideal? What would you think about that?

A friday night at home - survival paggage

Thank's one more time for everyone who entered my giveaway. This is what I send for Heli. I call it a "a friday evening at home - survival paggage". This is kind of nostalgig one, perhaps our mums in 1950's had these when they had time to relax, or did they? There is everything you need: game, some magazines and chocolate.

Nostalgic childrens card game

I had my toy factory running today. I made these nostalgic childrens playing cards where you try to find different families and you try to avoid the single Pekka-card. Are you familiar with this game? We used to play this when I was child.

Crocheted dresses and lots of other goodies

Occasionally I sell my miniatures here. Some time ago a lady bought my minis and a few days earlier I had bought her crocheted dresses. So, she suggested me that we should swap our minis. This took place in May but finally we both got ready with our creations and the swap was made. If you are interested of buying her dresses you can see her listings here.
I send for her this old chest of drawers, a cradle, a toy gun, water running belt and shoes, some newspapers, Scrabble -table game, a whisk and some groceries.

Here are the stunning gifts she send for me. Be ready because it is not a short list of pictures. I really was amazed when I opened the parcel, because all of these are so beautiful and made with great talent.
Beautifully crocheted bedcover in pastels and white. This is perfect for the master bedroom.
An another crocheted bedcover.
Very nice and soft shawl for the study.
Two soft and beautiful carpet wiht matching pillows.
A yellow crocheted dress.

A light pink crocheted dress.
A tiny white crocheted dress.
An orange crocheted dress (the smaller doll is for the white dress)
Gorgeous blue dress. All the dresses are wearable and so wellmade that all I can do is wonder her gift with the crochet needle.

It's gametime again!

I started to make this game for a while ago but I didn't have enough time to finish it until this weekend. I'm planning to make also two dice and the man hat, car and dog.
After I finished the game I wanted to make  this childrens yoghurt. The cups are made of white hama pearls. It's always funny to notice that the resolution of laserprinter is very good. After I have scanned, printed, cut and finished the miniature I see from the photo that it is far too detailed and I can see almost every pixel of the picture. Maybe I should consider to start using my reading glasses?

Miniature sized game and toyfactory

My game and toy factory has been working again. This time I made this miniature sized game called FORTUNA. I'm still missing tiny marbles can anybody help me by telling where I can buy those online? Do you know how to play this game? You try to get as much as possible points by pushing marbles to the board. My children find this very entertaining and fun.

New miniature toys

The first day of the new year somepeople enjoy themselves by going to the gym or reading a book or they simply want to rest. But if you happen to be a miniaturist, you go out for a walk and you try to find the wooden sticks they use in the fireworks. I'm so glad to have two children as a cover (without them my neighbours might think I've lost my mind :) ) I like to use those sticks for my miniature projects and at the same time you get to be environmental-friendly too.

Do you remember my new toy that I got as a graduation present? Here are some new wooden toys I've made with the scroll saw. The models are old and I've seen some miniature versions in other blogs too, so the ideas of making them in  miniaturesize aren't my own. These toys are perfect for my antique toy store project.

Last year (funny I can say that :) ) I managed to make some tablegames for my antique toy store. The first was an old game called African star, then I wanted to make an animal dominoes and the newest of my creations is Scrabble classic.
