Baby Update:
I'm 37 weeks along and this little pumpkin is still breach. She hasn't dropped down too far so my doctor wants to do a "version." This is where they try to turn her by pushing on my stomach. Sounds fun huh? So this fun little ditty will be on Thursday morning. We are hoping for the best. In case the baby gets stressed, they push so hard that the placenta bleeds, or the umbilical cord gets tangled, they will be all ready for an emergency C-section.
We have a couple name choices, but we are so indecisive that you'll just have to wait until she's here.
(I realize how terrible this picture is. I'm shiny because I'm always hot and I'm swollen. But isn't that baby bump beautiful in it's own huge way!?)
Allie Update:
She loves her "new house." She refers to that every time we pull into the driveway. We have been spending a lot of time on the potty doing various activities such as: bubbles, books, toys, singing, eating, etc. She has yet to go on the potty however she is happy to try now. And she's always good to tell us AFTER she goes in her underwear or diaper. So we are making some SLOW progress there. She finally put her hand on my belly long enough to have the baby kick her and she loved it. I think she knows the baby is in there and it will just rock her world when the baby arrives.
Doug Update:
Doug is in Spokane as we speak finishing his internship and grad school. He will present his thesis and hopefully pass the oral exams so he can get that diploma. We will not be attending graduation since I will be hooked up to an IV the day before. Darn...I really wanted to watch him walk and be all dressed up. We can dream about it and celebrate in a different sort of way I suppose. He has worked so hard and we are proud of him beyond belief. Now if only that perfect job could just scoop him up!
Mar Update:
I am so pregnant. I feel huge. I don't want to go anywhere or do anything. I'm very fortunate that the weather has been so mild and lovely. In attempts to help the baby turn I have been doing strange yoga poses and weeding in our yard. Obviously it hasn't helped. I've enjoyed getting things in order and settling into our house. Although I cannot decorate for the life of me so I just continue to put that off. Maybe my mom will help me while she's here. I'm enjoying the time I have with Allie. She is just so full of life, so excited about small things that it really warms my soul. She always wants me to "come" and be right with her. It's hard because I want to do my own things most of the time, but how long will this last? Soon she'll want nothing to do with me. So I have to remind myself of that constantly. Just drop what I'm doing and PLAY.
I love the "cheese" smile. One fun play time today was making edible necklaces. Who doesn't love that?
We are good. Life is good. We are so blessed because of our Heavenly Father. We have had some trials of our faith and patience lately. This talk has been wonderful for us to refer to and bring us back to what is right.
We hope you are doing well. Leave a comment and tell us how things are going for you. Happy JUNE (which reminds me of my grandma June).

The baby bump is most definitely beautiful, and so are you! The picture of Allie on the potty is too cute. I love how her legs are sticking straight out. :) Hip hip hooray for Doug! I'm sure he'll find a great job soon, and we'll be excited to hear about it when he does. We'll keep sending positive thoughts and prayers your way that your little babe will turn.
Thanks for the updates Mar. We will be praying for you guys this week. Keep us posted about how everything goes. Love, Dan
Marilyn - you look wonderful! Really. I see NO puffiness! Good luck this week with the "baby turning" I hope it goes well! I am glad you guys made it and are getting settled. I can't imagine moving while being 37 weeks preggo. Congrats to Doug for graduating! You guys are one rockin' awesome family!
Oh fun...I don't envy you one bit. I was going to have that done with Lexie but she decided to turn at the last moment. I have heard that the manual turning hurts like crazy. Maybe I should be telling you that, but I would rather be prepared than be surprised. I keep forgetting that you and Stacey are right around the same time. I am excited to see pictures. I have loved the whole birthing experience with all of mine. Treasure every moment.
Love the new layout. I sure am thinking about you and praying for you guys! I hope it all goes well with the baby! I miss you so much... I seriously would LOVE to come up after the baby is born to help and even help decorate!!! Keep me posted and good luck!
Mar.... You are the cutest preggo girl EVER!!!! I will say a prayer that your little baby will turn for you easily tomorrow. As for Miss Allie.... she is such a DOLL. I threw my boys a party every time they went potty. With balloons, stickers, candy, confetti, and noise makers!!! It really worked!!! Good luck with everything.
Marilyn you look beautiful! Really you look sooo good. I am so excited for you guys and that we will have kids the same age. Maybe they will be two weeks apart like you and me. Your new house looks beautiful. I am jealous. You are such a good Mom. Congrats to Doug. I know he will do great. Love you!
Marilyn, I'm so glad you put a link to that wonderful talk! Oh that applies so much to us right now too! We are playing the waiting/Patience game right now with John's job situation as well. And just like that talk says, I'm sure we'll look back later on and see what blessings we gained during the waiting period. You guys are such great examples to us. Thank you for that.
You look beautiful!! I feel for ya though.. I'm quite swollen with this one. I don't dare where shorts or capri's because my feet/ankles are pretty gross looking. She's almost here!!
I meant wear, not where :) Just ingnore my preggo brain :) hahha!!
You look beautiful in your picture, I am so excited to see pictures of your sweet baby girl. Glad that she turned!
