Shaded Summer Meets FREE Beautifully Penned Paper for TGIF Challenge #333!

Can you believe there have been 333 TGIF Challenges?!?!  WOW!  And this one is one of my favorite type of challenges...a fabulous SKETCH Challenge!   I LOVE these because the "guess work" of designing a card is done for you!  You can copy it as is, or take a few liberties...or as many liberties as you want...to make it your own!  I took a few liberties on the design that I am submitting for this weeks challenge:

Colors: Polished Pink, Pool Party, Whisper White, Basic Black

Inks: StazOn Jet Black, VersaMark

Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Polished Pink, Vellum, Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper

Stamps: Shaded Summer

Tools: Timeworn Type Embossing Folder

Accessories: Just Jade & Gold 3/8" Braided Ribbon, Gilded Gems

I wanted to show you the card before the sketch so you could just enjoy the card and not worry about what I followed exactly and what I just took the "idea" of but changed up a bit.  But now that you have seen the card...here is the sketch!

So as you can see...I totally followed along.  Instead of the background stripes so straight and aligned, I layered varying thicknesses & lengths of strips of the GORGEOUS Beautifully Penned Designer Series Paper (that you can get FREE before the end of the month!!! with a qualifying order!!! through Sale-A-Bration!) in the background instead.  But other than that...pretty straight forward from the sketch!

For the rectangle piece of the sketch, I used Vellum Cardstock and embossed the floral images from the Shaded Summer Stamp Set onto the corners.  Then add I did was add a fun greeting and you have a dynamic focal point layer!  

So check out that Vellum Cardstock layer, the layered Designer Series Paper strips in the background, the fabulously embossed Whisper White background piece, and MORE!  😀

A Touch Of Ink Doily...

Have you seen the Square Vellum Doilies?  I love vellum, so I was a big fan from the beginning of these guys.  However...sometimes I don't want a square.  Easy fix!  I just cut off the corners, and now it's a fun circle!  Added the CUTE bird from the "Touch of Ink" Stamp Set that is FREE during Sale-A-Bration, and here's a fun card you can use for any occasion!

Pierced Blooms Sketch...TGIF Challenge 303!!!

 It's FRIDAY!  And the TGIF Challenge I have for you today is a SKETCH challenge!  I love this kind of "challenge" because it isn't much of one!  Hee.  A sketch is a map that just guides you in your papercrafting journey!  😀  First up is the card I made!

I LOVE the Pierced Blooms Dies and coordinating stamp set, In Bloom.  When I saw the sketch challenge for this week, this In Bloom Bundle just jumped out at me.  So I went with it.  I had white blooms in my head, and I was going to make a mostly white card.  But I grabbed a piece of the Paper Blooms Designer Series Paper (that you can currently earn FREE during Sale-A-Bration!!!!) and this is the card that was born.  Hee.  Here are a couple pics of the details:

Cardstock/Papers: Whisper White, Shimmery White, Just Jade

Stamps: Heal Your Heart

Tools: Stitched Rectangle Dies, Heat Tool, Basic Pattern Decorative Masks, Blending Brushes

Accessories: Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder

This was a fun card to make, just using a lot of ink for texture.  There is sponging, embossing, and splattering!

First...I used the polka dot mask from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks & the *NEW* Blending Brushes!!! (In the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog!) to sponge some polka dots in Gray Granite ink.

Then I made a little heart mask from a piece of Vellum Cardstock to sponge the hearts in Just Jade.

I love this inked layered look.  It creates so much texture without a ton of layers.  I did add a few layers of cardstock cut out with the Stitched Rectangle Dies.
