Well, it was bound to happen.
I just wish it had happened later.
Naptime is no longer worth the struggle.
We tried confining him to the play pen (right side up).

We tried confining him to the play pen (right side up).
For a while it worked and he took great naps - like 3+ hour naps.
But those long naps were turning his 8pm bed time into a battle.
He wouldn't stay in his bed.
When he would finally stay in, he'd still be awake until after 9.
But I just couldn't give up that nap.
I cherished that time as my time alone or my time with William.
But then he learned how to climb OUT of the play pen.
And naptime became a battle.
David even resorted to turning the play pen upside down.
(All these pictures come from that day)
It didn't stop him.
Good bye naptime.
We had so many great times together.
But now it's time to create a new normal - one that doesn't involve naptime for Henry.
On a positive note - he usually isn't cranky without his nap. And bedtime isn't so much of a battle anymore.
I guess giving up naptime was worth it then.

I agree it comes a time to end the naps it is bittersweet sometimes. Love the pictures of him with his nose pressed up against the play pen.
