My parents returned to their house on May 24th after all their training was done.
Shannon and her family came over so we could all visit together and have dessert together.
We gave my parents a binder that had letters from each grandchild and will serve as a place to keep the letters they receive while on their mission.
They enjoyed all the letters from their grandchildren.
That night my dad packed up their car.
I should say crammed their car full of stuff.
It was amazing to see all they fit in there!

The next morning my parents took my family out for breakfast.
It doubled as a parting meal and my birthday meal.
We took these pictures before we went out to eat.
I love Henry's face in the picture above! Funny boy.
It was bittersweet saying goodbye. I cried a bit as I hugged them and said goodbye. I'm so excited for them. They are great missionaries! Their service is greatly needed at Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia.
I'm grateful for the example they are setting for my boys and for David and me.
We love you, mom and dad!

I am sure that was a very bittersweet goodbye especially for the boys.
