It was raining all day here in Toronto. A steady rain that kind of penetrated everything. This can be great if you are inside. Only problem, was I had to walk the 1.5 kms to work at 7:30 this morning in the rain. Now that in itself is not too bad, however as puddles form quickly there is always the possibility that you will be splashed or in my case drenched by a passing car.
So instead of looking like this in the rain
It was a bit like this!
How was your day?
Quiet.
ReplyDeleteSome rain.
Plenty of gray. But balmy.
A trip to the Post Office.
A short one minute waltz/movie made.
A delicious chicken dinner; with olives, capers, tomatoes. And wine.
A good day. Always.
Perpetual gray seems to have settled over Chicago. The winds have kicked up. Somehow I find it all invigorating. I may even go out now for an evening stroll.
ReplyDeleteYou are from Toronto no way! I enjoy reading your blog :)

Joseph, hope that you enjoyed your walk.
Oh dear ... .
ReplyDeletesorry to hear you were on a forced
rainy day walk. Brisk / brilliant
blue sky day here in Santa Fe -
with rain and high winds approaching.
Think I'll build a fire and stay in.

And now I hear it's snowing over there! In any event I'm sure you carried off the drenched look with style and aplomb!

I've been praying for rain here so I can break out my Burberry umbrella!
ReplyDeleteahhh! This made me chuckle. My husband and I used to walk 1km to school every day in Rome and I know exactly how miserable that can be with the passing cars! Frustrating! :)
