Washington, D.C.

Jeremy was traveling to Washington, D.C. for one week of work and talked me into joining part of it.  I left out of Ontario airport (2 hours away) after I got all the kids off to school on Wednesday, November 15 landing at Dulles at 11 at night.  I spent that night a Jason's house about 20-ish minutes away.

Thursday, 16 November

I met several previous church friends (Michi P., Cynthia L., Jill F., and Laurie S.) for lunch at Café Rio in Fairfax near where we used to live and conveniently stopped in at a few favorite shops nearby.  I then made my way to the hotel at Joint Base Ancostia-Bolling where Jeremy was staying.  We had dinner with friends from both Georgia and Singapore (Jeff and Dawn G.) at Rosa Mexicana's at National Harbor.

Friday, November 16

Spent time at the National Museum of the American Indian, the National Gallery of Art, and the National Holocaust Museum.  Went and picked Jeremy up and spent a moment in the National Portrait Gallery, had dinner at DC Chop House, and saw a play at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.

Saturday, 18 November

Spent some time at Jason's house with his girls Ashlyn, Ellie, and Reese and wife, Katherine plus my aunt (dad's sister) Cari and husband Bruce and her youngest (my cousin) Jesse and his girlfriend.  And then Jeremy and I both headed off for the airport.
