Jeremy had promised the kids a trip to Six Flags "Magic Mountain" before we had been here for one year. Friday, the day after school was out, seemed like a good idea as San Diego and Los Angeles schools were not yet out.
Allison woke up in the early hours of the morning throwing up.
Since it was too late to cancel our hotel for that night, and she got better, but was in no shape to be outdoors or on any roller coasters, we still headed down.
On Friday, we went miniature golfing and had dinner at Buca di Beppo (a favorite Italian restaurant that is few and far between). On Saturday, we went to Will Rogers State Beach (just a couple miles north of the Santa Monica beaches and Pier) and had dinner at In-N-Out. (We also stopped by Costco for a membership and shopping.) It was still a very nice weekend.
Madison was "promoted" on to High School!
Thursday, June 01 was the very last day of school for these 11th, 8th, 4th, and 2nd graders.
Madison's height is "cheating" by a couple inches with her heels, but she has still grown quite a bit and Parker is almost 5 feet tall.
I got two notes from McKenna:
Plus flowers, cards, grilled steak and mashed potatoes...
The men at church thought it would be a good idea to have a "Father/Offspring" camping trip the Friday before Mother's Day. Allison and Madison already had other plans, so Jeremy took Parker and McKenna to it, about 1-1/2 hours away.
It was chilly, but they had a lot of fun.
