I hope you all notice that our banner is all in pink. We are doing this through the month of October to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer. We want to encourage all women to do self breast exams on a regular basis and if you're over 40, have an annual mammogram. These things are so important for early detection. Together, we can help save lives.
So on to my favorite fall recipe layout. I'm in a small group that exchanges cookie recipes a few times a year. We each build ten 8 x 8 layouts that we can swap. By the end of the years, we should each have a wonderful recipe book. This month I decided to share my Pumpkin Cookie recipe with the girls.
I started with an old Close to My Heart paper collection. I just love the fall colors and it just seem to fit right in with my pumpkin.
I started with the word pumpkins off the Freshly Picked cartridge. I had to cut the "S" off so it looked right.
I also cut the pumpkin from Freshly Picked. I really wish there would have been a shadow cut for this. I didn't want to take the time to create one so I used Tea Dyed Distress Ink to add some color and texture to the pumpkin.
I used Create a Critter for the milk bottle. I used pink gingham paper for the straw. We were asked to have some pink on the project.
So here's the finished project. I used From My Kitchen for the word cookies. Now I just have to make 9 more.
