Happy Father’s Day by Fran

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Details:  The BBQ Monkey is a digital image by Digi Boutique.  The image was colored using Inktense Pencils.  Everything is held together using Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive.  Digital papers and black check printed paper are from my stash.  The envelope was created using the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board.  The card is 5-1/4” square.  The envelope is 5-1/2” square.  Other tools used were Paint Shop Pro and the Silhouette Portrait.

I made this card for my younger grandsons to give to their Dad.  My son-in-law loves to cook especially on the grill.  I think he will get a charge out of the card.

“Thanks” Card Using Distress Stickles by Fran

For those that do not know Kim of Cutters Creek Online Store runs a Yahoo Group for her customers.  And as a member of the group you can join Clubs that Kim offers on a 6 month basis.  This allows you to build up your crafting supplies at a very reasonable monthly fee.   I have joined many of Kim’s clubs but the one I am currently in is the Distress Glitter club.  If you haven’t seen these glitters in person you are missing out on some beautiful distressed, chunky glitter.

Today I want to show you what I did on my card using three of my favorite colors I have received so far.  The three bands of glitter are Seedless Preserves, Spiced Marmalade and Tarnished Brass.

Details:  Distress Glitters were applied using sticky paper and Glossy Accents.  The sentiment “thanks” was cut using my Silhouette Portrait and glued to the card using a Quickie Glue Roller pen.  The butterflies are outline stickers applied to sticky paper and then I used a very fine glitter by Martha Stewart.  I used Scotch Quick-Dry Adhesive to glue the butterflies to my card.  The card base is made from  Neenah Card Stock.  And my card measures 5” by 5” square.

First Crush by Fran

Do you remember your first crush?  I do!  Every time I saw him my knees would turn to Jell-O, lol.   All the memories came flooding back when I saw the image I used to make my card.  The digital image is by Dearie Dolls and I used the colored one from the set.  My card was cut using the Silhouette Portrait.  And the background on the inside of the card was also cut using the Silhouette.

The card measures approximately 5” square.  The papers are by Recollections.  And they come in many colors and are distressed.  I added some Distress Stickles (Worn Lipstick) to the front of the card.  I attached the image using ASI (Kool Tak)  3-D Foam Pads.  And everything is held together using Inkssentials Glossy Accents.

I was in the mood to do something frilly so I chose a little girl digital  image called Flower Girl.  I used my Prang colored pencils to color her in a couple of my favorite colors (turquoise and lavender).  Her hat was colored using Paint Shop Pro.  I used Stickles glitter glue in turquoise and lavender.  All papers used are from my Stash.  Ribbon border and turquoise flower were cut using my Silhouette. Lavender and turquoise flowers were punched from two punches from my stash.  The mats on the front of the card and inside were also cut from my Silhouette. This card was so easy to make but it took some time to complete it because of coloring the image.  But when you have the right products to use your card will go together quickly.

Card Dimensions:  5” by 5” Square. Light lavender mat is 4” Square and dark Lavender mat is 3-3/4” square.  The card base was made by welding two 5” square mats together using the Silhouette Portrait.  Mats on the inside of the card are 4-1/2” and 3-1/2” square.
