Bird Song Mini Album

Hi Everyone!

I haven't been around in awhile because tax season really kicked my butt this year! LOL!! Well I am so happy it is finally over and now I get to share some of the projects I have been working on with you and some great news too.

While I was gone I became a partner/administrator at one of my favorite swapping sites: www.minialbumscraps.ning.com currently I host the Itty Bitty Mini Swap which is small mini albums no larger than 4x4, the regular mini album swap and the junk journal swap. I love swapping and we have some really awesome swaps going on this month. I would love for you all to come and check it out. Please make sure you read and follow the rules if you would like to join.  Not only do we have special swaps, but we have also been working very hard on getting our swappers low prices on their favorite products. We always do pre-sells on the G45 lines and there are two new ones coming out called Steam punk and Bohemian Bazaar. We will have different kits available depending on your price range and payment options.  Recently, we did the New Tim Holtz paint sets and the Prima Mixed Media Doll stamps as pre-sells also (these are now closed). I do think we might have some TH Paints left over though.  So I definitely, encourage you to check out the site and to join some swaps if you would like, they are very addicting and SO much fun!!

Ok, here is some more exciting news LOL! Since tax season is so busy and just takes all of my creativity right out of me, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and buy a mini album tutorial from Kathy Files over are Paper Phenomenon.  Ok, I love her youtube videos but just wasn't sure if I could make an album like that. So, I tried and this is what I came up with.

I love how it turned out and I can't wait to make more! I enrolled/bought her Back to the Basics class and just can't wait until it starts.

Thanks for visiting today!

LIFE Mini Album

Hi Fellow Crafty Crafters!

I hope you all are enjoying your Tuesday as much as I am. I am so excited today because Jinger Adams is having her design team call over at Jinger's Blog, and I decided to make this mini album to apply for the team.
I found this gorgeous K & Company paperstack at Joann's and I just had to use it. But you know when you get a paperstack and only some of the papers are cute? Well every page in this book was so awesome I knew I had to make an album to enjoy every page! LOL!

This is a 6 x 6 Mini Album
I just love the butterflies on this front cover. I used Art Philosophy for the circle cut and the butterfly is from of the coordinating accessories from K & Company. The paperstack is called Nature.
I thought this paper was so beautiful, I tried not to decorate it too much because I did not want to cover up the original design.
I put a pocket on this 1st page for memorabilia and left a photomat on the other side. I also used Art Philosophy for these pages.

Some of this paper was so hard to cover because it is so beautiful!
I got that cute little envelope from a SMASH swap I was in, and I thought it just looked so awesome on this page.
This is the back page of the album. So what did you think? Isn't this paper just gorgeous!

Recipe
6 x 6 cardboard
Nature paperstack- K & Company
Accessories matching- K& Co
Cinch binding machine
Art Philosophy Cartridge
Paper Trimmings Cartridge
LIFE Stamp- $1 bin at Michaels
CTMH Stamps and ink
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you will stop by tomorrow for a altered notebook I made with this awesome paper.

Sending you love card and mini album.

Happy Sunday everyone!

I don't know what happened last week but I had some posts ready to post and they did not post. This darn blogger sometimes. LOL! I have so much fun last Saturday at my crop.  I love to get together with all of my crafty friends and catch up with each other. I didn't really get too much crafting done but I had a great time.
I did get two baby banners done that I will share with you later this week (I still have to take pictures).

I wanted to share with you today a card and mini album I made for my Grandma. She is feeling pretty down right now. My Grandpa has had Alzheimer's disease for sometime now, but it had gotten really bad and last week she had to put him in a nursing home. I can't imagine what she must be feeling right now, they have been marry for over 60 years so I know it must be hard on her.
I thought I would make her this cute little card and mini album I made with the Yourstory mini.
I used the Preserves cartridge for the watermelon and DCWV Sweet Treats paper pack.

I used the Once Upon a Princess cuttlebug folder for the front of this album.
One more thing I wanted to share with you all. I am sure you heard that Jinger Adams is no longer at PC but she has a new blog and she is coming out with a new shoe line. How awesome is that? Here is a link to her new blog Jinger Adams. I had the pleasure of meeting Jinger in UT 2 years ago and she is just a sweetheart.  I wish her the best of luck in her new endeavors.

Say Cheese Card & Father's Day Mini Album

Hi Everyone
Today I have a special treat for you all! Two posts in one.
To get started I would like to share with you a sample card using the NEW Getting Cricky with K.Andrew stamps. Here is a notecard I make using her Food for Thought set called "Say Cheese". You can purchase Kristal's stamp sets here. I just love her stamp sets, all of them are adorable and affordable! They are made of the highest quality and they stamp so crisp! These are the best stamps I have used!

I used Create A Critter for the cheese and Getting Cricky Food for Thought Stamp sentiments.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for our Stamp preview blog hop and u-stream live video. Friday's Blog hop has some awesome giveaways, almost every DTM will be giving away one or more Getting Cricky stamp sets! So make sure you come and check it out! Keep reading below, because I put together this awesome Father's Day gift that is super easy to make.

This week our DT Challenge for Sweet Sassy Diva, was to create a Father's Day project. So, now that the kids are out of school, I knew they wouldn't have made anything for their dad so we decided to make a mini album for him. My son had such a fun time helping me make this album, he helped pick out the cartridges and the cuts we would use in the album.
Here is what we made.

First, I used some pre-cut chipboard that is 6 x 6, then I used the patterned cardstock out of DCWV- It's a Guy Thing stack and cut them to 6x6, and glued the patterned cardstock to the covers and then the other pages are also glued together to make them a little thicker. I glued the white side of the pages together. I inked the edges of the album with chocolate ink. I used my cinch to bind the album together which was super easy- after I learned how to use it LOL!

Next, I used Accent Essentials to cut of this circle shape. I had some clear stickers with sayings on them, this one says memories, and I used Tim Holtz Alcohol inks to die them. Used hemp twine for the bow.

Next, we started decorating the inside pages.
These were some leftover stickers I had from a different project, not sure who they are by.

I used the Boys will be Boys cartridge for the hammer and screwdriver, and cuttlebugged two DCWV metalic pieces of cardstock to make them look like tool box chrome.

The page on the left was done by my 2 year old daughter and the one on the right was by my 7 year, he wrote a list of reasons why his dad is the best dad in the whole world. Its hard to read because he has really sloppy handwriting but one of the reasons was because he plays with him...pretty funny huh.

I used Block Party for these cuts, dad is a great BBQer so we thought we would put some pics of that in there.

This is cuts from Everyday Paperdolls. We love to camp in the Summer.

These last pages are Super DAD from Paperdoll Dress Up and the back cover has a pockets for their Father's day present to him. They got him tickets to the Steve Miller Band concert up at the outdoor theater in Lake Tahoe.
So now all I have to do is fill it up with some pictures and cut of some cute sayings from the Cricut- like Dad Rocks etc.... Just a few finishing touches and it will be good to go.
Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to come back tomorrow for K.Andrew Getting Cricky Stamp release blog hop! With lots of blog candy!!!

Super Cute Watermelon card and Mini Album

Hi Everyone

I had so much fun at my crop on Saturday. I love getting together with my crafting friends. I don't normally get too much done since we all talk so much! LOL! I guess that happens when you only see each other a couple of times a year. Gotta catch up on all the stuff going on in our lives. I did complete two baby banners so that was good. I still have to take and upload pictures of them.
Today I wanted to share with you a  card and a mini album I made for my Grandma. My Grandpa had to go into an assisted living home last week and I know my Grandma was feeling down. So I hoped this would lift her spirits a little.

I made this card using DCWV cardstock and the Preserves Cartridge. I also used black stickles for the seeds.

I also made this little mini album with the Mini YourStory. I also used a Once Upon A Princess cuttlebug folder.

SSD- Mini Album Design Team Challenge

Hi Everyone,
This week Sweet Sassy Diva's design team was challenged to make a mini album, so this is what I came up with. I found these albums in the $1 section at Michael's and they even had match paper to go with the album. So this was a easy project to put together.

Here is a quick video I did:

Here is the finished album
