Buckets of Fun

Hi Fellow Crafters,

Today is Sunday. YEAH! Today is the start of  the Getting Cricky with K.Andrew Simply Sunday Challenge. Today's challenge is called Summer Theme. So you need to make a project with something that has to do with Summer. Make sure you visit K.Andrew's website for all the details and to link your project up for a chance to win!

So, did you all have a wonderful weekend? I certainly did! It was filled with fun and BBQ's.
For the Simply Sunday project I made this card from the Life is a Beach cartridge and K.Andrew stamp set Splashtastic. You can check out all of Kristal's new stamps by clicking HERE.

All of her stamp sets are made right here in the USA and she donates $1 from each set sold to charities that are close to her heart. You can check out all the charities and stamp sets at http://www.kandrewdesigns.com/
Hope you all will play along with us this week and enjoy the rest of your Sunday!
I am also entering this card at:

Simply Sunday Challenge with Getting Cricky with K. Andrew-Penned

Hi Fellow Crafters,

Today is Sunday. YEAH! Today is the start of  the Getting Cricky with K.Andrew Simply Sunday Challenge. Today's challenge is called Penned. So you need to make a project with pens somehow in it, for example:  (gel pens, journaling pens, pens used in your diecut machines, etc). Make sure you visit K.Andrew's website for all the details and to link your project up for a chance to win!

So, did you all have a wonderful weekend? I certainly did! I went golfing Friday with my husband, which was really nice, it was the first time I've been out since last summer. But now I am sore all over! We have a sleep over for my son Friday night and spent most of Saturday cleaning, relaxing and crafting. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend.
For the Simply Sunday project I made this card from the Life is a Beach cartridge and K.Andrew stamp set Amazing you. You can check out all of Kristal's new stamps by clicking HERE.

SSD DT Beach Theme Mini Album Layout

Hi Everyone
This week for the Sweet Sassy Diva challenge, Bobbi Jo asked us to make a Beach themed 8 3/4 x 5 3/4 mini album double layout.

Here is the layout I made:

I used Peachy Keen PK165 Dolly Dumplins face stamps

The patterned paper on both pages is DCWV Stack 6 collection, cut at 5.5 x 8.5 each side. The solid green cardstock is cut at 5.75 x 8.75.

I used Everyday paperdolls for the dolls cut at 4" and Life's a Beach for the beach chairs cut at 3.5.

Here is how I set it up on the Gypsy

And the paper set up on the mat

I ended up not using the black paper or the red, white & blue patterned paper.
I also used my new Seweasy to sew the border of the page, which I totally love. It was so easy to sew the paper after it punches the holes into it.

Hope you all enjoy!

SSD- DT Repurpose an item challenge

Hi everyone

This week for SSD design team challenge we were asked to take an old item and re purpose it into a new item. I decided to use an old baby formula can and to turn it into a piggy bank for my son. Check out this video below.

Ok, so here is what the finished pictures look like.

Supplies needed:
Empty can of baby formula or coffee tin
All Boy paperstack from DCWV (or any cardstock you prefer)
Green, blue and orange cardstock
Life's a Beach Cartridge

Ok so here are the steps on how to make this project
1. clean out the can with a papertowel to get any extra formula left inside the can
2. Take the patterned cardstock and put it against the can and measure where to cut the paper, use paper trimmer to cut on that line
3. Take your adhesive and cover the back side of the patterned paper, making sure to get all the edges, then wrap the cardstock around the can, being careful to smooth out the glue underneath the paper with your hand
4. Cut of your cuts, I used Life's a beach cart for the letters cut at 2", green octopus at 3.5", and the blue octopus at 2.5".
5. Glue letters and 2 blue octopuses to the canister.
6. Cut a circle in the blue cardstock to cover the lid with, glue the circle on, then cut a 1" by.25" slit in the top of the lid.  And the two little slits for the green octopuses legs.
7. Place octopus on lid, I used a little bit of glue to hold it into place

CJ Too- 1st Week of Summer Challenge

Here is the summer layout I created for Craft Junkie Too- 1st Week of Summer Challenge. I used the Life's a Beach cartridge.

All cardstock used is from the solid cardstock packs from Michaels, the photo mats are DCW 4x6 card stock packs. The "sand" paper is from CM an old paper pack that I had.

Hope you all enjoy it.
