SSD DT Challenge- Mix it Up
Hi everyone
Becka here with http://www.creationswithbecka.blogspot.com/ . This week for our SSD DT challenge we were asked to make something with a BBQ in it. So I decided to make this BBQ invitiation for an upcoming BBQ we are having.
I used Simply Charmed cartridge.
Here is the cut I used from Simply Charmed:
Here is how I set the hamburger up on the Gypsy
Set up for paper on the mat
I used Peachy Keen Wide Eye Kids stamp and CTMH "Invited" stamp for the top bun
Then I used the small dots Cuttlebog embossing folder to make little seeds on the top bun.
Then I put all the BBQ info on the inside of the card. Hope you all enjoyed my post.

Hi My Fellow Crafy Crafters
It's Becka with http://www.creationswithbecka.blogspot.com/ here.
Today is Day 5 of HIJACKING Kristal's blog while she is busy taking in some R&R. I am happy to be here with you today. I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
I always love coming to Kristal's blog everyday to inspire, uplift and just make me feel plain better everyday. Since she is away, I will try to give you some words of my wisdom, but please be nice Kristal is way better at this than me.
Anyways, today I would like to talk to about HERO's. Everyone has a person they look up too. For me my hero is my mother. She is the greatest, most loving, and strongest person I know. When I was a child my mother was a single mom raising 3 girls, with not very much help from our dad. But she stayed so strong for us kids, although she worked a full time job, she still cleaned houses at night just so we would have enough money to buy groceries she always was happy. She always taught us that honesty and love were they greatest things you could give to another person. Whenever one of us was hurting she was always there for us, she always stood up for us and what she believed in, lifts us up when we are down, always has great advice to give, and she would never let anyone ever hurts us.
My mom is still the same to this day, she is my bestfriend and I love her so much and she is my hero.
So who is the Hero in your life? Today I made this card to show my mother how much I love her.
I love this little stamped image, can you believe I colored this with colored pencils? I just got them this week and this is only the 2nd image I have colored. I am trying to get the hang of it. The sentiment is from K.Andrew Stamp set Positive Thoughts.
Please check out all of Kristal's stamp sets HERE. They are all awesome, and she donates $1 per set sold to a charity that is close to her heart. Please check back tomorrow to see who is the next one to take over Kristal's blog. And come visit me at http://www.creationswithbecka.blogspot.com/

Circle Nevada Pennant Contest
Happy Wednesday! Is everyone having a lovely hump day? I am because my work day is almost over. YAY! I wanted to share with you a Pennant I made for the Cricut Circle Pennant Contest. We were supposed to make a pennant of our home state that represents our state. I live in NV and last year was our greatest college football season ever! GO WOLFPACK! We went all the way to the Championships with our home town hero quarterback Colin Kaepernick (who was drafted by the 49er's). We had a 13-1 season. It was awesome and totally brought NV pride to Reno. So with that in mind I made my banner honoring the NV Wolf Pack Football team.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check back Saturday for our Operation Owl Blog Hop- where there will be lots of prizes and blog candy, it is sponsored by Amy Chomas.

Ok for my project today I used Fashionable Friend stamp set by K.Andrew. I love these stamp sets by K.Andrew they are awesome! She donates $1 from every stamp sold to a special charity and they are made right here in the USA! I like that they are high quality polymer stamps and they stamp so crisp.
For my project, my little sister turned 26 on Saturday, WOWZERS I feel old! I made her this gift tag that I put on some boday spray I gave to her.
We all went out for Sushi for my sister's birthday and we had so much fun. My husband doesn't like anything fish so he had chicken and rice, but he tried a sushi roll and oh my gosh it was so funny the look on his face. Pure agony it seemed like. My son who is 7 also tried it for the 1st time and he loved it! YAY! For me I now have a new sushi partner. I love sushi! And most of the time I go by myself at lunch for it, my sisters work to far away to join me and my husband doesn't like it, so now I can take Cooper with me. He starts a reading program today and it will be on every Tuesday for a month so he has to come to work with me so I can take him so I guess we will have to have sushi on the days he is with me.
I hope to see all of you back here on Thursday where I will have an exciting announcement about my blog and again on Saturday for the Operation Owl blog hop. Have a gerat day!

You've Got Purse-onality
Good Wednesday morning everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you a purse card I made with Fover Young cart and Fashionable Friends stamp set by K.Andrew. I am so excited this morning because we went camping last weekend at Davis Lake, CA and I got some really awesome pictures to share with you too. But, first on to my project.
Here is how I set this up on the Gypsy
I had to weld 2 purses together, so in order to do this you choose 2 of the sam purse and the flip one of them from right to left. Then I welded them together. On the back side of the purse, you need to make it so the flower cuts will not cut into the paper, so you must hide the cuts.
This button I am pointing to will hide the cuts that you do not want cut out. Then I used Getting Cricky with K. Andrew stamp set Fashionable Friends to stamp the cute little saying on it, kind of like a price tag. Check out all of Kristal's stamp set by clicking HERE. I love all of these stamp sets she has come out with, they are made right here in the USA and she donates $1 per stamp set sold to a charity that is close to her heart. I think this is totally awesome! And what a great inspiration to the rest of us. Look at this set! Isn't it awesome!
Ok so last weekend we went to Davis Lake to go camping, and we had such a great time. We took this 5 mile off road trail to the top of a mountain to a look out tower that is used to watch for fires along the whole valley. The ride up there was so scary the trail was barely big enough to fit our truck on and then there were fallen trees everywhere and cliffs! Needless to say my stomach was in knots by the time we got to the top. But it was well worth it, take a look at these pictures. 360 degree views of the whole valley. We could see the top of Mt. Lassen which is in OR I believe.
And of course a picture of my adorable friends.
Make sure you come back by on Friday for the Getting Cricky Design Team blog hop! There will be lots of great prizes....like.....Humm....I know I will be giving aways some stamp sets! WOOHOO! See you Friday!
