Shaped aperture card

It took me a while to figure out how to put this card together, but once I did it was easy - from the recently bought Kanban kit.

It's for:

Creative sketches SC24T technique challenge: fancy folds, cuts or punches
Just for fun: make something using a format you have not tried before
Delicious doodles 17: 3 dimensional
Pear tree designs 41: happy birthday
Simon says: happy birthday
Fun at fairy knoll: birthday or thank you
If the shoe fits 71: calm, serene, aquamarine
Paper cutz 83: your choice

Dressing up

This shaped aperture card was in the kit that I bought recently, as well as all the components I've used on it. The card was photographed slightly open, but when closed the inner circle fills the aperture.

This is for:

Spring ... thinking of you

A very similar card to the previous one, this time using some Bo Bunny double sided paper and a sentiment that matches one side (have had this for ages and found it just at the right time).

So this is another springtime card for:

Aly's: happy spring
Card cupids: spring inspired card
Cutie Sunday 136: spring colours/images
I did it 47: welcome spring
Inspiration Avenue: hello spring
Flourish timeless 109: butterflies
Creative cottage 35: spring has sprung
Wags n whiskers 50: spring
Mami doodles 22: celebrate spring

It's also for:

Iris' spot 15: glitter
Paper cutz 83: your choice
Sugar creek sensational Saturday: anything goes

Spring ... especially for you

Today is the first day of spring - and it has been a lovely day. I had to go to the GP's to pick up a prescription and then to the chemist and I walked there and back (just over half and hour each way) and it was lovely.

It's not surprising that atm there are a lot of cardmaking challenges that are concentrating on spring. This card isn't just for spring because it's a general 'especially for you' one, but it features lots of appropriate words for spring and also the lovely 3D PM flower and butterflies strip that is really springlike. There is lots of sparkle on the flowers and butterflies and the sentiment is gold foiled. The imaginisce paper is doubled sided, so the striped piece is from the reverse side - the striped are glossy.
