A Bicycle for Two Card

Hello!  Hope your Monday is going well!  I've been running around getting things on my to do list done :)  I only have one thing left and I can't do it until later!  Yay!  Since I had a little free time I thought I'd pop on and share a card I made recently with some cute Stampin' Up! goodies!

I picked up the fun Pedal Pusher Stamp Set during Sale-a-bration this year!  I love bike stamps and this one with an adorable basket had to be mine!  I stamped it out on watercolor paper and used my inkpads to watercolor it in.  The sentiment is from another favorite- the Endless Thanks Stamp Set.  These work so well together!

I was so happy to pick this one up!  Yay for free stamp sets! :)

Hope you have a great day!

Hello Dahlia Cards

Hi!  I found some time over the weekend to create a couple of cards and thought I'd share them with you today!  I used my new Stampin' Up! goodies I picked out from the new catalog- the new Regarding Dahlia was my first pick!  Here are the cards I made:

Since the dahlia stamp is so detailed and beautiful on its own, I decided to keep my cards clean and simple.  I started out with a piece of watercolor paper and watercolored a square using my Crushed Curry ink pad.  Isn't it such a pretty yellow!  I waited for it to dry completely and then with the help of my embossing buddy, embossed the dahlia and sentiment using white embossing powder.  It looks really pretty against the yellow!

I created a card base of Sahara Sand cardstock.  For contrast, I added a bit of Midnight Muse cardstock with some faux stitching on it along with the watercolored panel to my card front.  I embellished it with one of those fun wooden buttons and some linen thread.

For my next card, I started with another Sahara Sand cardbase:

I stamped the dahlia in Midnight Muse ink towards the bottom left corner.  I added a strip of Crushed Curry cardstock and a small bit of Midnight Muse cardstock along the bottom using dimensionals.  I wrapped it with some linen thread and finished it off with another wooden button.

I splattered just a little SC Calico Shine mist over it and then added my sentiment banner just under the button.  The banner is from the gift box kit from the SU! spring mini and the sentiment comes from the You're My Type set.

I'm so happy with how these cards turned out!  I'll be grabbing these colors again, too!  In fact, I had to put in another order to get more of this pretty yellow paper! :)

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thanks So Much Card

Hi there!  I'm back today to share a card that was published in this month's CARDS Magazine!  It was a favorite of mine back in February when I made it! :)  I was on a mission to create a Thank You that was appropriate for a man and came up with this:

All supplies are by Stampin' Up! and each of them could be considered a favorite, too!  I really like how all the elements work together and aren't too fussy, either.  I used the Oh, Hello stamp set along with the First Edition and Comfort Cafe DSP packs.  They look great with those fun wooden buttons, don't they?  I think it stayed pretty masculine, too!

Well, I hope you have a great day!

A little Mosaic Madness for your birthday

Who's excited about the new Stampin' Up! catalog??  I am! :)  I am still finishing up my list of must haves and will be ordering later this week!  Until my goodies come, my friend and demo Keisha let me borrow a few of her new goodies!  I made this card with them over the weekend:

I used the new Mosaic Madness set for this card. On a white cardstock panel, I stamped the border to vertically to look like banners. Next, I added cardstock banners in the same colors. Lastly, I added the sentiment from the new Banner Greetings hostess set and embellished it with rhinestones, linen thread and crochet trim. I matted my panel onto Marina Mist cardstock using dimensionals and adhered it to a white cardbase that had been embossed using the new Modern Mosaic embossing folder.

There are a lot of great stamps in the Mosaic Madness set!  There is even a punch to match!  It's on my list for sure!

If you have a list and would like to add to my party, I have an online hostess code you can use- I'll be finishing up my order late on Wednesday, June 5th. If you order, it will go straight to your house so no need to worry about second shippings or anything! I love this online party thing! To shop my party please head to Keisha's store. Enter this JTA3WWV9 into the hostess code box when you check out.

Well, hope you are having a great day!  Thanks for stopping by to see what I made today!

Make a Wish Card

Hi!  Happy Monday! :)  I spent the morning running errons and am just now settling down for some nice hot tea and oatmeal.  And after I type this out, I'm going straight to my craft desk to make some special cards for Teacher's Appreciation Day tomorrow!  Not a bad way to spend a Monday if you ask me!  Hee!

Today I thought I'd share a card I created this card a few weeks ago at my stamp club meeting.  My SU! demo Keisha created a pretty sample card using these supplies and of course, I had to put my own little spin on it:

Isn't this a fun color scheme?  I love gray and yellow and blue together!  Keisha has a great eye for color! :)  The sentiment stamp is stamped in Basic Gray on to the new canvas paper.  I tore the top and bottom edge to create the fraying- it has to be my favorite thing about this product!  Keisha brought along her scoring tool and the new templates that fit into it so that we could dry emboss on our backgrounds.  I used the chevron pattern and like how it turned out.

OK- going to keep this short today so I can go play!  Lol!  Hope you have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow with some of my Teachers Appreciation Day cards!

More Raining Flowers

Good Morning! I was just thinking my week was going so fast! Then I remembered that it was only Tuesday! Hee! I think I need a little more coffee this morning!

Today I'm sharing a few more samples from the convention displays I did. These are all using the Raining Flowers set:

First, a pretty box:

I made it all white except for the bottom of the inside- I put a piece of Inky Indigo in there to darken up what you see through the vellum and really let those stamps pop.

A Sympathy Card:

This was a color combo I wouldn't usually use but I love how these colors look together. I think purples are growing on me!

Another card:

This card was prettier in my imagination when I was thinking about layering vellum over the stamped flowers. I wanted it to be a little more distressed looking but in the end, left it clean and crisp. I still like it but one of these days I'll have to try it again with the distress kit handy!

Well, since today is Tuesday, I've got a full house of kids to entertain! I see the park, riding bikes, and picnicking in the back yard in my future!

Also, if you have a minute, can you vote for my card in the PaperCrafts Magazine Gallery Idol contest? I've made the top 15 and would love to go through to the next round!

I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
