Made With Love

Hello and happy Valentine's day!  I'm glad you stopped by because today I'm hopping along with some of my amazing card-making friends!

If you're following along with the hop then you're probably here from Laurie Willison's blog.  Doesn't she make some great cards?  Her creations always make me smile!  Laurie  is one of the twenty friends I made during last summer's Gallery Idol contest put on by Paper Crafts Magazine.   Most of us are hopping today and we each have amazing givaways thanks to a long list of sponsors!  For more information on the participants and our generous sponsors, please check out our Facebook Event page.

I've made a few little things to share with you today- all featuring one of our great sponsors, SRM Stickers!  I've paired their great We've Got Your Boarder- Valentine sheet with the American Crafts XOXO line to make some fun Valentines treats.  First up is my card:

I really loved this floral patterned paper from the XOXO line by American Crafts.  I've used it on nearly all of my Valentine's Day projects this year!  The cute 3-D heart sticker is also from the same line.  I added the sentiment sticker and then highlighted it with some fun twine by the Twinery.  Sticker sentiments seem so easy and stress free after years of stamping!  Hee!

My second project is a little clear goodie box.  It is the perfect size for one of my favorite nail polishes- wouldn't that be a fun treat to receive? :)  I've decorated it with a couple of the SRM border strips and just a little bit of twine.  Doesn't take much to make these little boxes look good!

My last treat is a glassine bag filled with cookies.  For this, I used a few hearts and a strip of First Edition DSP left over from my banner project I shared yesterday.  I simply wrapped the bag with more of that fun twine to finish the project off.

SRM Stickers has been generous enough to provide me with a givaway!  They have given me an assortment of cardmaking products including Sticker Sentiments, Fancy Sticker Sentiments, and We've Got Your Boarders to give away to one lucky reader.  Please leave a comment for your chance to win! The contest closes on February 21st at 11pm.

From here, you'll want to head over to Nina Yang's blog.  She's got another great Valentine's Day project for you as well as another giveaway!  Pretty fun if you ask me!

I'm so glad you were able to visit today! I hope you are able to check out all the participants blogs today!  These ladies are truly talented! I hear there is also a secret grand prize hidden in someone's blog so leave lots of comments for a chance to win!

BFF Newsprint Purse

Hi There!

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite projects that I made for the convention boards. It's a paper purse I made using the Bag-a-lope idea and adding handles. I featured the Best Friends Forever set as well!

Here's the purse:

And a closup of the tag:

And a closeup of the flower:

The flower is made using the heart image in the set. Isn't that cool? There are so many things you can build with just a simple heart stamp!

I love how the colors turned out in this project- brights against the newsprint is so fun and fresh! I also love my tag- all the little details put together to create it- it was lots of fun!

I hope you've been enjoying all my Stampin' Up! convention board samples I've been posting! I had so much fun working on them- it truly was a treat!

Thanks for stopping by! And if it's still Thursday morning when you read this, please pop over and vote for me in the Paper Crafts Magazine's gallery idol contest!

Easy Events are Easy to Use!

Good Morning!

Today I thought I'd share more samples from the Stampin' Up! convention display boards using the Easy Events set. This set has a little something for everyone in it- especially if you like to color! Here are a few more samples I made...

An Elegant Christmas Card:

A Fun Clock Card:

A Sparkly Birthday Card:

A Beautiful Trio of Boxes:

I think these types of sets are so easy to use- I love that each image comes with a sentiment built in.

Well, I've got a house full of kids today so I'm going to cut this short- hope you have a great day!

More Raining Flowers

Good Morning! I was just thinking my week was going so fast! Then I remembered that it was only Tuesday! Hee! I think I need a little more coffee this morning!

Today I'm sharing a few more samples from the convention displays I did. These are all using the Raining Flowers set:

First, a pretty box:

I made it all white except for the bottom of the inside- I put a piece of Inky Indigo in there to darken up what you see through the vellum and really let those stamps pop.

A Sympathy Card:

This was a color combo I wouldn't usually use but I love how these colors look together. I think purples are growing on me!

Another card:

This card was prettier in my imagination when I was thinking about layering vellum over the stamped flowers. I wanted it to be a little more distressed looking but in the end, left it clean and crisp. I still like it but one of these days I'll have to try it again with the distress kit handy!

Well, since today is Tuesday, I've got a full house of kids to entertain! I see the park, riding bikes, and picnicking in the back yard in my future!

Also, if you have a minute, can you vote for my card in the PaperCrafts Magazine Gallery Idol contest? I've made the top 15 and would love to go through to the next round!

I hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

A Purse and Card to Match

Thank you all for your nice comments on the last set of cards I made! It's so fun to get emails here and there full of nice things- they really make my day! Today I'm sharing the little purse I made to hold the set as well as a little card I made to go along with it:

Goodies:
All products by Stampin' Up!

Stamps: Awash with Flowers, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: So Saffron, Basic Black
Paper: Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla cardstock; First Edition DSP
Accessories: Scallop Edge punch, Fun Flowers Die, Antique Brads; tulle (not SU!)

I really had a lot of fun with this project! I don't do many 3-D items so it was a fun change of pace for me. Also, I think I'm addicted to the First Edition DSP pack... I seriously could use it on everything I make! The purse is just your basic bag-a-lope that I made large enough to fit my cards. I added handles to make it more pursey... hee!

Thanks for stopping by today to take a peek at what I made!
