Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Santa Claus

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Wow it's another Saturday is here, were is the time going? On a good note though, it's Christmas Eve and Sweet Stampintime...yay!!

So I'm here to share my latest and my last Design Team Challenge card for Sweet Stampin' with you. I've decided to step down from the team to concentrate on family and on other projects. I have been on the Design Team for over 3 years, and the girls are such a fabulous and supportive lot and I'm going to miss them like mad - but it's time for me to move on. Big hugs girls x

So our fab theme this week is 'Santa Claus' and I'm using a very festive rubber stamp from Crafter's Companion called  'Santa's Helper'. For my last SS card and it being so close to Christmas I wanted to create a simple card that says it all. I used Zig Clean Color pens which I'm still getting to grips with so please excuse my patchy colouring, I'm hoping with a bit more practice I'll be fine.  Thanks for looking - and a MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL and a PEACEFUL 2017

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

Here's What I Did
First I matted an A5 card with red card. Next I stamped my Santa and sentiment onto a piece of watercolour card and cut it to size then rounded the bottom corners. Using Zig Color pens I coloured the Santa and reindeer in full strength colours, however in certain areas I used water to lighten the pigment as they're water based pens.

When everything was dry I added glitter to the Santa's beard, fur and some of the ground, then using a white pen I added dots to the baubles and the reindeers blanket.

To complete the card I added the topper to the card front, along with a few glitter gloss drops.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: 'Santa's Helper ' from Crafter's Companion
Paper & Cardstock (CS): A5 Scallop Card Blank, Red CS, Crafter's Companion Watercolour Card
Zig Clean Color Pens: Flesh Color, Light Pink, Carmine Red, Bright Yellow, Yellow, Brown, Dark Brown, Beige, Gray, Blue Gray, Light Gray, Light Green, Green
Other: Glitter, Glitter Gloss Drops, Black Fineliner Pen

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime and it's only 2 weeks to Crimbo......whoopeee!!

So I'm here to share my latest Design Team Challenge card with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Animals' and I'm using a very cute digi stamp from All Dressed Up called  'Christmas Reindeer'. I decided on a CAS card we could be easily recreated for batch making especially for this time of year. I used alcohol pens to colour in the image and Colour Cloud inks for the background ...these are my new toy and I love them. Merry Christmas and thanks for looking

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

Here's What I Did
I covered a 6" x 6" card blank front with lilac patterned paper with I edged with distressing ink. Next I printed the reindeer onto colouring card and die cut it into an oval. I coloured the reindeer with Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens.

I printed the reindeer again onto copier paper and fussy cut out to create a mask, using removable tape this was placed over the image along with an paper oval to mask out a snowy base for the reindeer to stand on. The sky and the ground was inked using Colour Clouds in pink and blue shades.

I added glitter and glitter pens to the ground, baubles and snowflakes.

To complete the card I added a few punched out stars and added the topper to the card front using foam tape, and pearls were added at the top and bottom.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: ADU Christmas Reindeer can be found here
Dies: Tonic 'Layer Squares,' 'Pinhole Squares' and 'Home Sweet Home'

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Got The Blues?

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime...yay!!

So I'm here to share my latest Design Team Challenge card with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Got The Blues?' I had to think about this one though, so after a little umming and arring (I think I've spelt those right) I decided to create a picture in shades of blue inside a frame. The fab little bird and house are from an MFT stamp set that I've had for months but never got around to using. The glittery 'hello' sentiment was made using some beautiful blue glitter card and a fab die from Diamond Press (available from Crafter's Companion). IRL this is super sparkly but hard to capture on camera. Thanks for looking 💖

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

Here's What I Did
I covered a 6" x 6" card blank front with pretty patterned paper. Next I die cut a fancy circle from white card and 2 pieces of funky foam, these were all glued together to create a frame. I did the same thing for the 'hello' sentiment - one layer cut from blue glitter card and one from funky foam, and glued together.

From watercolour card I die cut a circle and added distressing ink around the edge and into the centre, leaving some areas white. I over stamped the background with splodges and splashes to give a tone-on-tone effect, and then added splashes of glitter pen.

I stamped the bird, butterfly and house onto the watercolour card circle making sure I left sufficient room fore the 'hello' sentiment. The images were then water coloured and glittered up using pens. The frame was glued onto the background circle and the sentiment was then glued on the inside.

To complete the card, the topper was added to the card front and sequins and gems were added.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: MFT 'I'm Tweet On You', MFT 'Distressed Pattern'
Dies: Diamond Press (from Crafter's Companion) 'Hello & Butterflies', MFT Die-namics 'Stitched Circle Scallop Frame'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): 6" x 6" Scallop Card Blank, Sheena Douglass White Stamping CS, White Funky Foam, Blue Glitter CS, Crafter's Companion Watercolour CS, LOTV 'Shabby Shack'
Zig Clean Color Pens: Persian Blue, Cobalt Blue
Leonie Pujol Sparkle Pens: Ice Drop, Aquamarine
Other: Gems, Sequins, Black Fineliner Pen

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Photo Inspiration

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team Challenge card with you. Our theme this week is 'Photo Inspiration' (see below). So for my card I used the rain, umbrella and yellow to inspire me. As soon as I spotted this Elizabeth Bell image I knew it would be perfect. I coloured her with the new Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens (which I love) in aqua and yellows to tie in with the photo.

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

Here's What I Did
I die cut a square from lemon card and die cut again to add the pin hole details and matted it onto the 5" x 5" card base. I die cut the image and coloured it with Spectrum Noir Illustrator pens, then added glitter to the rain drops and puddle. The completed topper was added the die cut aqua mat and attached to the card front using foam tape.

Next I die cut the word 'memories' and the tiny badge twice from 2 shades of aqua card (one is slighly darker than the other). I slightly offset the 2 words and glued them together and attached them to the card front.

To complete the card I added a touch of glitter to the spots on her umbrella.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: 'July Showers' from Elizabeth Bell (Hobby House 'Summer Sweetness' Colouring Paper Pad)
Spectrum Noir Illustrator Pens & Spectrum Noir Pens (SN): Skin - FS3, FS6, FS7, FS9, TN3 / Hair - GB4, GB7, TN7  / Aqua Top, Trousers, Shoes & Bows - BT1, AB1, GT2, (SN) BT1  / Umbrella - CT1, CT2, CT4, GY1, GY2, VB1, LY1 / Clothing Stripes - CT1, CT2, GY3  / Puddle & Raindrops - BT1, Blender, IB1 (SN)

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Inspired By A Film, Book Or A Song

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team Challenge project with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Inspired By A Film, Book Or A Song'. Well that gives you plenty of scope but don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project.

So my project I decided to go with a song...can you guess what it is yet? I actually made this card for my daughter and her boyfriend as they both love Halloween; I've made my daughter a card every year ever since she was small. I kept the design pretty simple as the image is drawn inside a frame which was crying out to be decoupaged...so it was rude not to. My daughter received it in the post on Tuesday and loved it.

Soooo, have you figured out my song yet? Yep, it's the 'Monster Mash' by Bobby Pickett. It always makes me smile when I hear it, and these cute character fit in nicely to the theme.

 Here's What I Did
I used a 7" x 7" white card and matted it with orange and black card. I printed the image 3 times onto colouring card and cut away the background on one of the layer and coloured in Frankenstein with markers. I then printed out a background paper with my own sentiment on it and placed the first layer over the top of it flat, then added it to the card front.

Next I coloured in the mummy (only) with marker pens, and fussy cut both him and Dracula out, this was added them to the 1st layer using foam pads. Dracula was also coloured with marker pens and fussy cut out, then he was added the frame using foam pads to complete the picture. To finish off the card I added glitter pen to the stars and bow tie, and glossy accents to all the characters eyes.

Here's What I Used
Digital Stamp: Bugaboo 'Frame It - Spooktacular'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): 7" x 7" White Card Blank, Black & Orange CS, Neenah CS
Spectrum Noir Pens: Frankenstein = Face - CG1, CG2, CG3 / Eyes - LY2 / Hair - LV1, LV3, HB2, HB3 / Outfit - OR1, OR2, OR3 /  Tooth - TN2 / Mummy = Skin - Blender, FS2, FS4, TN3 / Bandages - TN1, BG1, BG2, BG3, BG4 / Eyes - TB1 / Dracula = Skin - Blender, FS2, FS4, TN3 / Hair - IG1, IG3, IG4, IG6, True Black / Cape - IG4, True Black, CR7, CR8, DR5, DR7 / Eyes - CR3, CR7, Colourista 'Blossom' / Stars & Bow Tie -  'Leonie Pujol 'Lemon' Glitter Pen
Other: CraftArtist 2, Glossy Accents, Foam Pads,

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Spots And/Or Stripes

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team Challenge project with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Spots And/Or Stripes', and I think you can see what I chose to use......Spots. Lol

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize from Lili Of The Valley.

This is actually the card I made for my mum's birthday, and I loved this stamp when I first spotted it (oops sorry for the pun!), so bought it straight away. It just reminds me of my mum; she tends to nods off to sleep at the drop of a hat especially when we're in mid conversation....I guess my voice lull her off to sleep or something. Lol  I decided to create a frame card and decoupage the central image which I coloured with Copic pens.

Here's What I Did
I used a 7" x 7" white card and matted it with blue spotty paper.  I die cut a large frame from white card using 2 square dies and added it to the card front with funky foam to raise it up.  The sentiment was printed directly onto colouring card and die cut into a square. The image was hand stamped next to the sentiment and just the chair was coloured in with Copic pens.

The image was stamped again onto colouring card and just the sleeping woman was coloured in using Copic pens, and then fussy cut out. The square topper was attached to the inside of the frame along with the woman using foam pads. To complete the card I added pearls to the top and bottom of the frame, and stamped lots of pale blue dots everywhere and added glitter.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: Art Impressions (AI) 'Power Napper' Set, Hero Arts 'Spring Hello' By Lia
Paper & Cardstock (CS): 7" x 7" White Card Blank, LOTV 'Up, Up & Away - Pastel Dreams', White CS, Neenah CS
Copics: Skin - E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, R22 / Trousers, Jacket, Shoes - BG000, BG10, BG23, BG34, B000, B00, B02 / T-shirt, Handbag - RV000, RV02, RV13, RV14 / Hair - YR000, YR00, E13, E99 / Dots - BG000 / Chair - E31, E33, E35 / Remote - Y35, G14, R14, B05, Copic Black Fineliner
Dies: Crealies XXL 'Stitched Squares', Tattered Lace 'Squares'
Other: Stickles Glitter, Pearls, Foam Pads, White Funky Foam, Hero Arts 'Soft Pool' Ink Pad, Gold Glitter Pen

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Babies

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team Challenge project with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Babies',  so for my project decided to use one of the gorgeous baby stamps from LOTV. I've always loved their rubber stamps but found the detail quite small and difficult to colour (I have rubbish eye sight) but now they've converted a lot to digital I adore them and have bought quite a few. So watch this space as you'll probably see more in the future.

I coloured this cute guy in with my Copic pens which have been gathering dust in the corner of my craft room. I tried to keep my card CAS, both in layout and in colouring to allow me to show of this fab little boy and his toy.

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

Here's What I Did
I used a 5" x 5" white scalloped card and matted it with green card.  After cutting a piece of patterned paper to size I die cut it with a pin hole effect die, this was then add it to the card front. The boy image was printed directly onto colouring card, coloured with Copic pens and die cut into a circle. An additional circle was cut from blue card using a scalloped die, and the boy image was glued on top.

The circle topper was then added to the card front using foam pads. To complete the card glitter was added to the stars, and 3 green pearls were adhered to the front.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: Baby Boy - Lili Of the Valley (LOTV)
Stamp Set: Concord & 9th 'Love You. Mean It', Fizzy Moon 'Celebrations'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): 5" x 5" White Scalloped Card Blank, Trimcraft 'On The Clouds', Green & Blue Card

Sweet Stampin' Design Team - Anything But A Card

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team Challenge project with you. Our fab theme this week is 'Anything But A Card',  so for my project I decided to create a bookmark covered in cat...what could be better. The cats were randomly stamped onto watercolour card and coloured in with watercolour pens, then finished off with blending pencils. To add a little fun I added a dangling cat at the bottom.

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

Here's What I Did
I cut down a piece of watercolour card to 5.5cm x 21cm, and randomly stamped the cats and accessories from the set all over it using brown ink. Next I coloured everything in with Zig Clean Color watercolour pens including the extra climbing cat for the bottom. When everything was dry I added extra details using blending pencils and Zest It blending solution. The complete topper was matted onto some brown card sandwiching the Bakers Twine between the layers.

To complete the bookmark I added the climbing cat to the end of the Bakers Twine so he would dangle, and then added a  touch of glitter here and there.

Here's What I Used
Stamp Set: MFT 'Cool Cats'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Watercolour Card, Neenah CS, Brown CS
Zig Clean Color Pens: Beige, Flesh Colour, Dark Brown, Light Gray, Colbat Blue, Bright Yellow, Yellow, Light Pink, Pink, Pale Green
Other: Spectrum Noir Pencils, Zest It, Brown Memento Ink, Glitter, Bakers Twine

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Wedding/Anniversary/Love

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team Challenge card with you. Our lovey dovey theme this week is 'Wedding/Anniversary/Love' and after checking my hundreds of stamps and digi stamps collection I found this gorgeous one from All Dressed Up (ADU). She's called 'The Gorgeous Bride' and was actually part of a set given as a magazine wedding freebie a year or so back, I just think she's beautiful. You can buy her individually and other bridal images from ADU themselves (click the link in the ingredient section).  I used my pencils to colour her in with and just added a touch of glitter to her flowers.

Don't forgot to enter our challenge you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

 Here's What I Did
I matted a 5" x 5" white card base with a piece of patterned paper that I'd die cut with a pieced holes die on the inside cut line.  I then printed my digi stamp directly copier paper (for a mask), and onto colouring card stock and die cut it into an oval along with a pink mat. I coloured the image in with pencils and some blending solution.

Next I cut out the image I printed onto copier paper and glued it in place over the coloured in image to mask it - I used a removable tape pen but you could use a post-it note. Using pale coloured inks I stamped random splatters around the bride, when dry I removed the mask and attached it to the mat and to the card front using foam tape.

To complete the card I added a few pearls, a touch of glitter and some die cut flowers and leaves in complimentary papers at the top right.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'The Gorgeous Bride' from All Dressed Up
Stamp: MFT 'Distressing Patterns'
Prismacolor Pencils: Skin - Light Peach, Peach, burnt Ochre, Blush Pink, Rose / Hair - Sand, Goldenrod, Terracotta, Sienna Brown / Dress & Veil - Cream, Sand, Spanish Orange/ Sash - Blush Pink, Rose/ Roses & Leaves - Blush Rose, Rose, Carmine Red, Crimson Red, Chartreuse, Olive Green

Sweet Stampin' Challenge - Back to School

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team Challenge card with you. Our theme this week is 'Back to School' and just had to use one of my new purchases from LOTV (Lilli Of The Valley). I love how they've made a lot of their stamps digital, now making them so easy to colour as I always found them too small before. So for my card I used 'Back To School Girl' and made her quite large and just kept the layout quite simple.

To enter our challenge please REMEMBER you must include a stamped element on your card/project, follow our theme and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!

Here's What I Did
I matted a 5" x 5" white card base with black card and a piece of printed paper which I cut to size. Next I printed the little school girl onto colouring card stock and used Spectrum Noir pens to colour her in. The completed image was die cut and matted onto a black die cut shape - this was then attached to the card base using foam tape.

To complete the card I added an A, B, C cut from red card onto the front.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: 'Back to School Girl' from LOTV
Spectrum Noir: Skin - Blender, FS2, FS4, TN2, TN3, CR3 / Pinafore - IG1, IG2, IG4, IG7 / Bag, Shoes - CR1, CR2, CR7, CR11, DR5, CT2, TN1, TN3 / Shirt, Socks - TB1, Blender / Hair - TN1, TN3, TN7, GB1, GB2 / Tie, Ruler, Pen, Badge - CT1, CT2, OR1, CR1, CR7, TN1, TN3 / Ground - IG1. IG7

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Black, White & One Other Colour

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Black, White and One Other Colour' - so I chose orange as my 'other colour' and created a scenic card. This was really simple to do, the hard bit was now when to stop. LOL

REMEMBER you must include a stamped element on your project to enter, and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!  Have fun and good luck.

So for my card this week I have used a stamp set with lots of flower layers, I just didn't use all the layers to create my summery scene,

 Here's What I Did
Firstly I die cut 2 pieces of card, one from white stamping card and the other from black card. Next I added colour to the white card using one distressing ink, a brush and a piece of torn paper. I increasingly added more colour to the bottom section of the card. Using several flower stamps I randomly added flowers and branches onto the bottom of the card using black ink. When everything was dry I added a little clear glitter to some of the flowers. I mounted the completed topper to the black die cut square and added it to the card blank using foam tape.

To finish off I add the word 'beautiful' to the top section of the topper that I'd die cut from black card.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: My Favorite Things 'Beautiful Blooms'
Inks: Distressing Inks - Mustard Seed, Black Soot, Versafine - Black Onyx
Dies: Paper Smooch 'Kudos Words'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Crafter's Companion Matt Black CS, Sheena Douglass White Stamping CS

Sweet Stampin' Design Team Card - Sentiment (Main Focus)

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Well it's Saturday and Sweet Stampintime - so I'm here to share my Design Team card with you. Our theme this week is 'Sentiment (Use As Focus NO IMAGES)' - sounds tricky, but honestly it's not. Basically no cute, flowery, scenic outline images etc and make sure your card/project includes a sentiment. But please REMEMBER you must include a stamped element on your project to enter, and link back to the Sweet Stampin' blog for a chance to win a prize!  Have fun and good luck.

So for my card this week I have used a stamp set to create my distressed background, and a die cut for my sentiment which I multi layered to make it stand proud of my card blank.

Here's What I Did
Firstly I cut down a piece of teal coloured card to create a 6" x 4¼" tent fold card blank. Next I trimmed down a piece of strong white card to 6" x 3¾" to create a topper, this was then stamped in 4 different colours using distressing inks to create splashes and splodges.

Using a 'Hello' die, 2 pieces were cut from strong white card and one from teal card, all of these were stacked and glued together, then added to the bottom edge of the topper.

To finish off I used foam tape to stick the completed topper to the card blank towards the left hand edge, and added a few sequins.

Here's What I Used
Stamp: My Favorite Things 'Distressed Pattern'
Inks: Distressing Inks - Peacock Feather, Picked Raspberry, Broken China, Crushed Olive
Dies: My Favorite Things Die-namics 'Hello There'
Paper & Cardstock (CS): Paper Mill 'Teal' CS, Sheena Douglass White Stamping CS
Other: Sequins

Sweet Stampin' - Stars

Hello and good morning everyone ---

Anyhoo, it's Saturday and Sweet Stampinday - so I'm here to share my Design Team card with you. Our easy theme this week is 'Stars' - so simple make a project and include stars on it and or course a stamped elements.

So for my card this week I'm sharing a card I made for my hubbie for Christmas. I've been watching to show off these fun guys but there was never an appropriate them until today. These little characters are from Bugaboo and the image is called 'Make it Snappy - Reindeer Trio', and I coloured them with Copic pens....and no glitter. Lol

Here's What I Did
First I matted and layered my card blank with a piece of patterned paper. Then using a software program I added a sentiment in the space below the digital stamp of the trio of reindeers and more stars, this was then printed out 3 times.

I die cut one of the images into a square and introduced shading around and behind the reindeers using Copic pens. Using the 2 remaining image I coloured portions of each of the reindeer in, using my pens. The coloured sections were then cut out and added to the base image using foam pads. The competed image was then matted and layered, and added to the card blank.

To finish off I added Glossy Accents to the reindeer's eyes and Crystal Drops to the antler decorations.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: 'Make it Snappy - Reindeer Trio'
Copics: Reindeer - E33, E35, E51, E53 / Stars - Y06, Y08, Y35 / Red Nose - R14, R27, R32 / Black Nose - C1, C3, C5, C7 / Eyes - B0000 / Shadow - B0000, C0
Dies: Crealies XXL 'Stitched Square'
Paper & Cardstock (CS):  7" x 7" White Card Base, Neenah CS, Deep Red CS, White CS, First Edition 'Nordic Christmas' Paper Pad
Other: Serif CraftArtist 2, Crafter's Companion 'Clear' Sparkle Pen, Nuvo Crystal Drops (Green, Red, Purple), Glossy Accents
