Amanda Jayne Designs - Witch On Broom & Scene Builder #1

Afternoon Everyone

This week I've teamed up with the DT at Amanda Jayne Designs to showcase a brand new Halloween set called Witch On Broom & Scene Builder. Lisa and I are each sharing a card today and tomorrow (Sunday) using the same sets to show how differently they can be used. I hope you like them. x

For my card today I have created a framed arched window that peeks out at the witch on her broom, with a brightly coloured sky. I also used some of the extras to enhance my card.

FYI - Amanda has lots of  lovely digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. Here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
I die cut an arch window aperture into the front of a 5" x 7" card front blank. Using the same die and a slightly smaller one, I die cut a thin frame from the same black card - I did this 4 times and glued them together.

A piece of watercolour card was trimmed down slightly smaller than the 5" x 7" card blank, to create a panel. I applied and blended different coloured distress inks onto the panel, going from yellow at the bottom to purple at the top (see the list below). Using black distress ink and a couple of stencils I added some clouds to create the sky, then splashed white chalk paint all over it. When the panel was dry I glued it to the front of the card behind the aperture.

The witch/broom, pumpkins and grave stones were imported into my software, then resized to suit my project. The images was printed onto watercolour card, coloured with distress re-inkers and fussy cut out.

Next I die cut a circle from white card and applied a little yellow and orange ink to create a moon, this was glued onto the sky. The witch with her broom was glued over the moon.

Using the small arch die I cut another shape from the same black card, then die cut it again with a hill border die. This was glued inside the aperture as a little hill, and the die cut word 'Boo' coloured with inks, was added alongside a few coloured pumpkins and gravestones. To complete the card, I added a little sparkle to the witch, a few white dots and stars.

Here's What I Used

Distress Re-inkers: Witch --- Skin - Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar / Hair - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Tea Dye / Dress, Hat Trim & Boots, Tights - Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn / Hat - Hickory Smoke, Squeezed Lemonade, Wilted Violet, Black Soot / Broom - Tea Dye, Vintage Photo, Rusty Hinge / Book - Hickory Smoke, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron / Pumpkin - Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade, Mowed Lawn / Grave Stones - Hickory Smoke, Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin / BOO - Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade

Amanda Jane Designs - Little Pumpkin

Morning Everyone

Today I'm sharing the 2nd of my Autumn/Halloween cards showcasing Amanda Jane Designs digi stamp/paper bundle. As my card the other day was geared up for Halloween I thought I would make a pretty card welcoming Autumn. Again I used distress inkers to colour with. I hope you like it. x

As I mentioned the other day Amanda's latest facebook challenge is' Anything Goes'  so why not give it a go - for details check out my last post.

Amanda has lots of  lovely digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. Here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
After choosing the bright orange dotty paper from the bundle I printed it out and trimmed it down to fit the card front, leaving a slim border around the edge. The paper was glued to the card front.

The girl and her pumpkin were imported into my software, and resized it to fit my project. The image was printed onto watercolour card, coloured with distress reinkers and fussy cut out.

Using my computer software I again chose the bright orange digital paper, but this time I slightly lightened it and add a typed sentiment; this was also printed off. Next I die cut a square postage stamp frame from white card and glue the pale orange paper to it, this was also stuck to the front of the card

To complete the card, foam was added to the back of the girl and she was glued to the card front along with several pearls.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamps/Paper Bundle: Little Pumpkin
Sentiment - My own

Distress Reinkers - Girl Skin - Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar / Hair Tea Dye / Shirt & Ribbons - Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn / Shorts & Shoes - Prized Ribbons, Hickory Smoke / Pumpkin - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Mowed Lawn

Other: 6" x 6" White Card Blank, Watercolour Card (Ecoline), Pro Print Paper 220gsm (Create & Craft), White Card, 'Square Postage Stamp Frame' Die Set (Creative Expression), White Pen, Glue, Double Sided Tape, Funky Foam, Pearls

Amanda Jane Designs - Spooktacular Boy

 Hi Everyone

Sorry I've been absent for a few month, but  I was poorly after having a heart procedure done at my local hospital. Thankfully I'm now on the mend now and to celebrate this and get me back into crafting I'm sharing one of my latest cards, using fabulous digi stamps and papers from Amanda Jane Designs (AJD). For my card today I chose to make a Halloween card using the 'Spooktacular Boy' digi stamp which is part of a Halloween bundle. I coloured the stamp with distress inks and reinkers. I've shared my process just after the photos. I hope you like it. x

Don't forget that Amanda has a monthly challenge in her Facebook group each month. This month (August), the them is 'Anything Goes'. If you wish to partake you need to join her facebook group, then use either one or more of AJD's papers or one of her digi stamps etc to create your project. You can win lovely digi stamps as a prize (see link at the bottom of the page), so why not have a go.

Amanda has lots of  lovely digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. Here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
I imported the boy and his pumpkin into my software and resized it to fit my project. The image was printed onto watercolour cardstock and die cut into a rectangle. I drew a horizontal line across the bottom of the scene to ground the boy, and hand stamped a few grasses to finish it off. The image was again printed out onto masking paper which was cut out and placed over the one of the watercolour card.

I added several different layers of distress ink onto the card starting from the bottom and moving upwards. Clouds were added using a stencil and black distress ink, this time moving downwards. When the ink was dry I hand stamped some trees on either side to create a scene. The mask was removed and I cut out the boy's legs and the tree stump and and a strip of the masking paper to cover these areas. Black distress ink was applied to the bottom of the card, to create the ground. When everything was dry the masks were removed. The boy, pumpkin and stump were all coloured with distress reinkers and finished off with a few pencils.

The completed scene was attached to a slightly larger black die cut rectangle, then onto a black 5" x 7" top fold card blank. To finish off the card I added the letters 'B-O-O' in black card, these were cut out using my Silhouette cutting machine - the letter were cut out 3 times and stacked up.

Here's What I Used

Distress Reinkers:
BOY - Skin - Tattered Rose, Tea Dye, Spun Sugar / Hair - Squeezed Lemonade, Tea Dye / Shirt & Shoes - Prized Ribbon, Hickory Smoke / Jar - Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey / Pumpkin - Squeezed Lemonade, Carved Pumpkin, Spiced Marmalade, Rustic Wilderness, Hickory Smoke / Tree Trunk - Tea Dye, Vintage Photo / Ground - Black Soot

BACKGROUND - Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, Faded Jeans, Dusty Concord, Black Soot

My card is to celebrate Amanda's 'May Flowers' challenge over on her Facebook page (see link at the bottom of the page). For more information about her wonderful themed monthly challenges check out my post from Sunday.

For my card today I've used the 'Floral Corner' stamp along with one of AJD digi papers - Spring Pastels. I used distress re-inkers and pastel pencils to colour with today. I hope you like it. x

The image was coloured with distress ink re-inkers and pastel pencils once it was dry.

Amanda Jane Designs - Cherry Blossom

Afternoon Everyone

Today it's my turn to share one of Amanda Jane Designs (AJD) fabulous digi stamps. As I mentioned a few weeks ago, Amanda runs a wonderful themed monthly challenge on her Facebook group (see link at the bottom of the page) and this monthly it's 'May Flowers'. You can enter your card, tag or whatever you fancy into the competition, as long as you use one of her lovely images or papers and it meets the theme. You can win lovely digi stamps as a prize.

For this month's challenge I have made couple of floral cards. I'm sharing one today and one tomorrow. For today's card I made a mini card using 'Cherry Blossom' coloured with distress re-inkers. I hope you like it. x

Amanda has lots of  lovely digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. Here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
First I created a 11cm x 9cm rectangle frame in my software. The cherry blossom images were imported into the software twice and arranged around the bottom of the frame by rotating and flipping them. Once I was happy with the look I deleted the rectangle and printed the scene onto watercolour cardstock in grey to create a no-line look. This was then trimmed to the correct size.

The top section was die cut diagonally with a 'Friend' edger die. The flower images were coloured with distress re-inkers. With the flowers covered I added a few splashes of pink paint.

I cut another rectangle to the same size as the previous one, and inked it up with pink and red ink. Water splashes were added to give it texture. When the ink was dry the floral panel was added to the front. The word 'friend was die cut from watercolour card twice; one sentiment was painted with the same pink/red ink used previously, then glued together. The die cut was then glued in place alongside a stamped sentiment. The completed topper was added to the mini card front - 12.5cm x 10.5cm.

To finish off the card, I added punched out pink mini butterflies along with a few gems.

Here's What I Used
Digi Stamp: Cherry Blossom

Distress Re-inkers: Flowers, Friend & Butterflies Spun Sugar, Saltwater Taffy, Festive Berry, Carved Pumpkin / Stems - Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn / Splashes Spun Sugar

Other: 12.5cm x 10.5cm White Card Blank, Ecoline Watercolour Card (11cm x 9cm), 'Friend' Edger Die & Stamp Set (Penny Black), Mini Butterfly Punch, Gems, White Pen, Water, Yellow Gouache Paint, Black Ink, Glue, Double Sided Tape

The stamp I used is available in both a digi stamp set called 'All Occasions Penguins' set and a polymer stamp set called 'Everyday Penguins' (see the links below the photos). The complete scene was printed directly onto watercolouring paper, and then die cut into a square.

The scene was coloured with distress re-inkers, and white pen and glitter was added to the snowflakes. When everything was dry I glued it to a square mat that was cut from snowflake patterned paper, then onto a white postage stamp frame. Funky foam was adhered to the back of the topper and glued to the centre of the card front. To finished the card pearls were added around the sentiment.

Amanda Jane Designs - Hello Bear

Hi Everyone

Today I am sharing one of Amanda Jane Designs (AJD) digi stamps and papers, which I love. If you remember I was asked to be her Guest Designer for a few months, well Amanda asked if I would join the Design Team (DT) until the end of December, and of course I said yes. So I will be rotating my posts between AJD and my long standing placement with the Lili Of the Valley DT.

Every month Amanda has a wonderful challenge in her Facebook group (see link at the bottom of the page), which have a different theme each month. You can enter your card, tag etc into the competition as long as you use one of her images or papers and it meets the theme. You can win lovely digi stamps as a prize. As it's 'Pastel Colours' this month, I've create a card using one of the cute bears from her 'Bear Bundle', which I teamed up with one of her pretty digital paper. FYI the bear can also be bought on it's own, it's called 'Hello Bear' (see the links below). I used my favourite medium to colour with - distress re-inkers. I hope you like it. (For sale - £4.50 + P&P - requests by email please)

Amanda has lots of  lovely digi stamp, papers and sentiments in her Etsy shop, along with some pre-coloured images and papers. Note, there's a wonderful 25% off sale on atm, so grab a bargain! Here is the link to the Amanda Jayne Designs Etsy Store to check out all the digi stamps and papers.

Here's What I Did
I printed off one of AJD digital papers and trimmed it down to fit the front of a 6" x 6" card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge. This was attached to the card front.

I imported the cute little bear into my software and add a digi sentiment from my stash, both were then resized to fit my project. The image was printed onto watercolour cardstock, then die cut with an cross stitch circle die. The image was coloured with distress ink pads and re-inkers. I drew a horizontal line across the bottom of the scene to ground the bear, and then painted in a grassy effect.

The completed scene was glued to an ornate circle cut from blue card, then funky foam was added to the back. The finished topper was adhered to the centre of the card front. To finish off the card I added glitter to the butterflies, punched out mini butterflies and a few pearls.

Lili Of The Valley - Birthday Penguins

 Afternoon Everyone

Today I'm sharing a cute penguin from Lili Of The Valley. This little sweetheart is available in both a digi stamp set and a polymer stamp set, both called 'Birthday Penguins' (see the links below the photos). For my card today I used the digi version, and combined her with a digital watercolour background and splashes, and a 'Happy birthday' sentiment. To coloured her up I used my distress re-inkers. She was a dream to colour...so easy. I just love how this one turned out - it's so pretty.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I trimmed down a piece of pink patterned paper to fit the front of a 6" x 6" scalloped card blank, leaving a slim border around the edge. Using my software I imported the background and splatter detail and added the cute penguin over the top along with the sentiment, everything was resized to fit my project. The complete scene was printed directly onto watercolouring paper and die cut into a square.

The scene was coloured with distress re-inkers, and white pen was added to the party hat. When everything was dry I added it to a scalloped square mat cut from pink card. To complete the card I added funky foam to the back of the completed topper, and glued to the centre of the card front. Glitter was added along with a few pearls.

Lili Of The Valley - James Fishing

Morning Everyone

Yep it's me again...:) I'm back again to share with you another sneak peek of the wonderful  James Bear  from Lili Of The Valley, this time he's fishing. As I mentioned yesterday there are 2 brand new James stamps - 'James Fishing' and 'James Gardening' which will be available as both digi stamps and in a polymer stamp set. The polymer stamps sets will contain the new stamps plus a few oldies - the sets are called - 'James Take It Easy' and 'James Thinking Of You'. The sets are on advance order and will be shipped from the 7th April. Definitely check them out, they're all simply adorable!

For my card today I'm using the sweet 'James Fishing' polymer stamp, and I've coloured him up using my distress re-inkers. I've used a similar layout as yesterday as I'm in love with my new edger dies.

For your information, here is the link to the LOTV Online  Shop and the LOTV Etsy Store to check out all the stampsFYI you can use both sites to purchase the stamps.

Here's What I Did & Used
I trimmed a piece of watercolour card down to 4½" x 6½" and die cut the top section with the 'Hello' edger die. The lovely James Bear was stamped on the bottom left of the card, and coloured up with distress re-inkers. A sentiment was stamped with black ink just below the cut out section at the top of the card. A postage stamp rectangle frame cut from green card was glued flat to the front of the card.

I die cut another rectangle and inked up the top section using blue, green and brown ink and added some green splatters to give it texture. When the ink was dry it was added to the green frame on the card front. The painted scene was mounted flat onto the card front and a little gold paint was added to the fishing rod.

To finish the card, the word 'hello' was die cut twice from green card then glued together, this was placed in the corresponding space on the top section of the card.
