A sweet Hanglar ...

Hello again!

Go me - another posting today ... I'm on a roll!  This cold weather has some benefits I guess!!  LOL

I decided to ink up this Hanglar beauty as it has sat uninked on my desk since my brother gifted it to me for my birthday back in November.  I've used copics to colour and I've gone with the colour combo of blue/brown which fits the challenge this week over at Stamp with Fun.  I've also followed Donalda's sketch at Just Magnolia (which also now includes Hanglar/Stanglar images) so I will enter my card in there too.  And lastly, Totally Papercrafts is asking for you to 'Add a Heart' for this weeks challenge so my card qualifies there too!

The blue paper is from BG Marrakesh pad and the brown is from a freebie 12x12 pad from Colorbok which arrived on my doorstep this past week.  I distressed the edges and did some more sewing.    The sentiment ticket is Tim Holtz and the wooden hearts are inked with distress ink and were from the Dollar Store!

I hope you like my card today.  Thanks for stopping by for another visit - I always appreciate you coming by and leaving a comment.  I think it's warming up somewhat tomorrow (to -7oc) but it comes with the arrival of more snow, puh!  Maybe that'll mean another crafty day!

Take care my friends,
Hugs,

A Hanglar card!

Good morning friends!

I hope you are all well on this Monday morning.  I had a quiet relaxing weekend and got to craft lots with my mom!  The dreary weather is definitely setting in now and there's nothing better than sitting and crafting to your hearts content while it rains outside!

My dear brother gave me two Hanglar stamps for my upcoming birthday and this is one of them!  I'm so excited to actually own some of this rubber!  I coloured the image up with my copics and die cut it out using a Nellie Snellen die.  I've followed this weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts with some added stickles and I used a fab TH ticket.  I also used a new EK Success fern punch which I found at Heather's Stamping the other day.  The pearl pin is from my stash and so is my dp.

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'm having another relaxing day today and hope to get some more crafting done!  I might actually get some time to blog hop and catch up on some commenting too!  I appreciate you visiting and can't thank you enough for all the beautiful comments you leave!  Hope you all enjoy a safe and lovely day!

Hugs,

A flower for you .....

Welcome!
So glad you could stop by today and take a peek on my blog! I managed to make a couple of cards with this weeks sketch over at Friday Sketchers. I used this sweet Hanglar image - isn't she the cutest!
I coloured with copic markers and pulled out colours from the papers. This was my first attempt at this sketch and I don't think I did the angled rectangles very well - but ah well, all part of the learning process right?! I added a cream silk ribbon and bow (using my bow-easy) and added a sweet charm that says 'friend' on it. I did some zig-zag sewing around the edges - don't think that was particularly straight either!! Geez, I'm doing a lot of self-criticism on this card today!
Anyways, I'm off to my craft room to prep for my class on Saturday! Hope you all enjoy a wonderful day whatever you're doing.
Thanks for your visit and for any lovely comments you may leave. Much appreciated as always!
Hugs,

A Truly Scrumptious Challenge Card

Hello!
I've been doing so well on challenges recently and here I am able to add to another one! This sketch is by the fabulous Mina for Truly Scrumptious. Again, I've used the MME papers from my fabulous PWCO Papercard Kit - 'Be Loved'.
I coloured in the gorgeous Hanglar image with my copics and matched the colours to the papers as best I could. I took white Prima flowers and used my copic airbrush system with R22 to colour match them. Some beautiful spacers with pale green brads, glimmer mist and glamour dust finish the flowers off. I used an SU! sentiment and added the gorgeous decorative brad that was included in the PWCO kit.
Well, that's it for today folks! I'm glad I even got a second posting in! I hope you all enjoy a wonderful evening - I'll be watching 'The Bachelor' - I was pretty smitten with Jake on 'The Bachelorette' and can't wait to watch this season. He is such delicious eye candy, lol, besides having his upstanding morals and values! Enough of my waffle ....
Thanks for your visit and hopefully I'll do some blog hopping a little later too. Hubby went off to Paris today so my next 4 evenings are free (once the kids are in bed that is)!!!!

Friday Sketchers with a fabulous Hanglar image!

Hello my crafting friends!
I had some time today so I got right onto the Friday Sketchers sketch today done by the wonderful Jacque! It's a really great layout and had lots of fun playing with it! I haven't distressed anything in a while so I thought this gorgeous Hanglar stamp (which I'm so thankful for getting my hands on!!) would work perfectly with a shabby chic look. What do you think? I coloured her with my copics using the new Hydrangea Blue and Blue Violet colours that I've just got. I love them. I used papers from my BG Wisteria pad and the base panel I sanded with my new Tim Holtz sanding block (love this!!). Some shabby stitching around the edges and distressed paper edges with my distressing tool give the card it's final look. Organza ribbon and a Prima hydrangea and rose, together with an eyelet (that covers the Cute Card Thursday challenge), and my card is done!!
I hope you like it! Thanks for visit today and taking the time to leave a much appreciated comment!
Hopefully see you back again tomorrow!
