~What An Enjoyable Anniversary Dan & I Had Yesterday!!~
Dan's boss gave him the whole day to spend with me to enjoy our 26th anniversary together on our Anniversary Day. That was so kind! So anyhow, this is what we did for our anniversary! I hope you enjoy all the pictures! Dan and I had a real enjoyable time! We went to the Round Barn in Arcadia, Oklahoma. Found that to be quite interesting! They were making a movie film in the upper section of the barn.. Got to see the big bus and all the people who were in the movie.. Wish I could have peeked inside, but wasn't allowed to.. We've been wanting to check this barn out, but just never made it... that is, till yesterday! Then we stopped at *POPS, which is just down a little ways from the round barn and got us a soda of course! Then we stopped at Robertson's Ham's on our way to McAlester, Oklahoma. Talk about a great tasting ham sandwich!! Dan has stopped there lots of times on his way to or from a job, but this was the first I've ever been there!
Then we stopped at Angel's Diner. Here Dan has stayed in the motel behind the diner and has eaten at their diner.. I found it real awesome looking on the outside, with the jukebox on their front of the diner, and the nice looking Cadillac's out in the front yard! We didn't go inside to eat, as we had planned on stopping at the Isle of Capri, which we did do for our dinner. It was absolutely beautiful inside, and the food was delishious!! I would definately love to go back there someday again! The atmosphere inside was sooo romantic... just perfect for celebrating our anniversary!
We had a wonderful time together and enjoyed all that we saw!! I have loved sharing our ~Special Day~ with you all too!!
Blessings,
~Lynn

~I JUST LOVE PENGUINS, DON'T YOU?~
Good Morning!
I thought that I'd share something I found on these little guys! Everytime I go to a place where they have penguins, I always make it a point to see them! They've always been one of my most fave's!! Thought you all would enjoy them too, and just possibly they could give you a sense of ~Coolness~ during this hot and humid weather! Enjoy!
Here's a little info on them too!
Little Man in a Tuxedo: Who doesn't like to watch "the little man in a tuxedo" parading around a landscape of ice? Their hesitant waddle on land, however, belies a penguin's ability in the water. With streamlined bodies, a thick coat that keeps out the cold and repels water, and flipperlike wings, naturally penguins spend most of their lives in the water.
Penguin Parenthood: Penguins breed in colonies, and males and females take turns tending to the one or two eggs that are laid per season. While the off-duty parent goes in search of food, the guardian parent supports the egg between the top of its feet and a thick fold of skin that hangs from its belly to keep the incubating egg warm.
From Emperor to Little: The largest penguin is the emperor penguin and is recognizable, not only by its nearly 4-foot height, but by the yellow, gray and black markings of the upper body and wings. The little penguin is the smallest of its kind at barely 16 inches high.
Built-In Waterproofing: Penguins preen their feathers meticulously to maintain insulation and waterproofing. A gland near the penguin's tail secretes oil into its feathers, which the bird will spread thoroughly while preening.
Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
~Lynn
P.S. *WHOOPS!!
I almost forgot to mention that today is my Weigh In and meeting at Weight Watcher's! I had a .4 loss last week, and I sure am hoping for any kind of a loss today when I go! I haven't been working as hard as I know I should have at trying to lose this past week... Hopefully I can get into geer starting TODAY!

~GOOD MONDAY MORNING!~
Here it is Monday...and laundry day for me once again! It might be at your house too! ;)
We had a real nice weekend, and I hope you all did too! We went to Borders bookstore on Saturday and picked up a couple books. I got:
1. The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton
2. The House At Riverton by Kate Morton
3. The Walk by Richard Paul Evans
Have any of you read these books? If so, were they good?
I haven't started reading any of them yet, but plan to do so soon, possibly today.. in my free time..
Sunday we went to Church and then we met our son Daniel at Dong A's for lunch. I had bulgogi again, and it was just as delishious as always! Daniel also ordered it, and my hubby had their Teriyaki chicken, which he says was real tasty too! Then we came home and my husband mowed our front and back yards later in the evening, which worked out good, as it wasn't as HOT as it was earlier. I helped with sweeping off of patio's and sidewalks..
Today, it's back on schedule, Hubby's at work, and I'm doing laundry!
You all have a great day! Thank you so much for stopping by! Thank you too, for the sweet comments you leave for me too! I appreciate you all so much!
Blessings,
~Lynn

~WEEKEND'S HERE ALREADY!!~
Hi Everyone!
Oh my goodness, it sure is hard to believe that the weekend is here once again, and... we're supposed to have gorgeous weather too! Wish I knew for sure that my hubby would have this weekend off from his workplace, as I'd make us some fun plans to do in a second!! With his work, one just can't really make any plans at all.. that is, unless he's using some vacation time.. Which he's really due to be having soon!! I can always tell his telltale signs..and he's been sporting them all lately!! ;)
Many years ago we use to have a camper on the plan of the one I shared a picture of.. I'd say at least 38 years ago or so.. We had so much fun and I always had the camper packed and ready so that when my (ex) husband would get home from work, that all we had to do was put the cold food in the camper and take off to our camping destination! I always enjoyed camping out, and especially sitting on my webbed aluminum lawn chair, with my white camping sneakers on (which sported rubber sole melting areas on them) and resting my legs on the round brick campfire pit, and getting mesmerized by all of the flickering, flaming fire and its embers! Talk about relaxing!! Well that is until the wild animals would stop by, like skunks, raccoons, deer, and yes, even bears.. Oh could I tell you lots of stories.. but, I'll save them for another time to write about on my blog!
Alright, I'll share just this one quick story! One night we all were sitting around that round campfire when my sister in law says.. "don't move Lynn", and I said, "why not"? Judy said, "because there's a skunk right underneath your lawn chair"!.. You never seen anyone sit anymore still than what I did!! Thankfully the skunk walked out from underneath my lawn chair, walked around the campfire and then headed on down to the next campsite.. after he was a ways away from our campsite, our guys yelled down to let them know a skunk was heading down their way.. It seems to me that no one was at that campsite, and the skunk got in their tent and ate the food they had placed inside.. We all know, you don't put/store any kind of food inside your tent, unless you want some little animals to visit you and eat them up! We always stored our food items inside our car.. Bears have been known to tear apart a cooler left out in no time flat! And that's a metal cooler I'm speaking about!
Our Kitty Kat still loves us! He just purrs and purrs when we pet him.. He's a hoot! I thought after his bath yesterday that he'd end up disowning us.. but he hasn't! He's a happy Kitty cat once again!
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and weekend too! Have fun and enjoy!
Blessings,
~Lynn

~Poor Kitty Kat!~
Our poor kitty Kat got into some motor oil that was out in our garage and got it all over himself.. Oh my goodness... what a mess he was! I am so glad that my hubby was home today to give him a bath, in which I helped.. We used Dawn dish soap, but he still has some in his fur, so I guess we might try again tomorrow or so with using Simple Green.. 1 part Simple Green to 5 parts of water. I guess they use this on the wildlife animals that get oil on them from oil spills that happen. I found info on this on line..
I hope you all are having a great Thursday. It has been a s.l.o.w. moving day for me today... Just been doing my own thing..
Thank you so much for stopping by! I enjoyed having you visit. Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,

~A Wonderful Sunday Outing With My Hubby!~
Good Morning!
I thank you all for the wonderful comments you wrote to me on my blog! I always love hearing from you all!
Dan and I had a real nice Sunday together for a few hours before he got called to go out on a job.. I am so grateful that we were able to attend Church, eat at Abuelo's and to go through the complete Banjo Museum together before his cell phone rang! That doesn't happen like that too often! Most of the time we get interrupted when we are out in about on our Saturday or Sunday drives..
The food at Abuelo's is soooo delishious! I had the Chicken Enchilada's and my hubby had a seafood dish, which looked real good too! Our waiter was so sweet and so was the manager for allowing me to take a few pictures at his restaurant. We happen to time it when they weren't quite as busy as they usually are, which worked out great for *picture taking!
My daughter Shel and her friend Amy were the first to introduce me to Abuelo's! Oh my gosh, I fell in love with it the first time I laid my eyes on it! When I was with them we ate in front of the statue that I took a picture of.. I just love the archways upstairs, greenery, and the whole overall atmosphere of the restaurant! The food definately matches their eye candy, that's for sure!!
We really enjoyed checking out the Banjo Museum too! All kinds of gorgeous banjo's inside! We saw alot of them and learned some new things about them too! My Dad and Dan's Dad also played a banjo.. I love hearing them played!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog today and for visiting our *Outing with us!
You all have a wonderful Monday!

~I HAD A WEIGHT LOSS FROM MY WEIGHT WATCHER'S WEIGH IN TODAY!~
I am soo excited! It really isn't that much of a weight loss, only .4lb., but it is a weight loss just the same and now I know that I am headed in the right direction, once again! Sometimes it can be sooo hard for one to lose weight, but I've already made my goal weight once, and by golly, this lady will reach her goal weight once again! After my WW meeting, I stopped by SubWay, and bought me a 6" turkey breast and black forest ham sub. I got a plastic container of Sweet Onion sauce for over top, and I got me a small bag of apples, and my diet coke to drink. I had received a sample pkg. of Ranch Multigrain Crisps today at my meeting, and I also ate them for lunch. My lunch comes up to 8 points which isn't bad at all! My sub is 6 points, bag of apples 0 points, diet coke 0 points, WW multigrain crisps 2 points.. equals 8 total points. I had a small apple for 1 point and Peach fiber one yogurt for o points for breakfast, along with my morning coffee.. So, that leaves me with 10 points that I can have for supper and maybe a snack later on too. Not too bad at all, I'd say!... :) Keep your fingers crossed for me that I'll be able to continue onward the way I'd like to! Thanks!
I wasn't 100% sure if I was going to my meeting today until I talked with Daniel earlier today, and he said, "Mom, you're going to decide to go to your meeting." and he was right! He knows how hard I've been fighting with this wanting and not wanting to go to my WW's meeting syndrome for a while now, ever since April anyhow.. I am so glad I decided to go. Thanks a bunch for your imput today too Daniel! Appreciated it! I love it when others are wanting and willing to help me work towards my weight goal. Means a whole bunch!
I hope you all have a good day today!
Thank you so much for coming by!
Blessings,
~Lynn

~HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!~
Good Morning!
Here it is, the weekend of the 4th! Wish I were someplace, other than at home, but, I'm not. My hubby is on call for his work now, so that sort of puts the anchor down as far as us going anyplace together.. That's okay, I'm used to it! But there are times like these that I get kind of bummed out! It too, will pass..
I hope you all are having a happy 4th! It is raining out today at my house.. I guess it might rain here off and on through Monday.. I'm sure that our lawns and gardens can use the rain, but.. I'd much rather look out my windows and see the sunshine instead! The flower gardens will love all the rain and so will the farmer's gardens! It's needed too I guess. I think I'm what is known as a ~fair weather person~, where the weather has an overall effect on my mood.. whether I'm up, down or somewhere in between, (like I am now) on the mood scale.. Anyone else like me out there?
I'm sure I'm not the only one that the weather affects, at least I hope I'm not!
My thoughts yesterday were mostly about my father. Yesterday was his birthday, and he would have turned 82. He passed away May 5, 2006, at the age of 77. He and I were always real close, and I love and miss him dearly.. I know he's looking down at me from Heaven and knows that I miss and love him a whole bunch too.. Life is so darn short! Many, many times over, I've ask myself why some people live a short life while others live a long life? That will be one of many questions that I want to ask our Lord when I get to Heaven.. I bet you have some of your own too that you'd like to ask our Lord.
As I say on my post decor.. Make Everyday Count, as one just never knows when they'll be called home..
I don't mean to sound like being ~called home~ is a bad thing, cause it's not. It's just that it's so hard on the one's that are left behind.. I do feel though, that one never gets over their loss of a parent, child, loved one or friend that has died. I think the feelings of their loss or losses will always be with them. I know mine are.. Some of my feelings are just more profound at certain times than others, but are always still there in my heart and thoughts just the same.. never to be forgotten..
I look forward to the day when I can be up in Heaven with my Lord and Savior and Family and love ones! Oh! What a glorious day that will be!
I went to Hobby Lobby yesterday and found a couple items. One is a crackled glass round candle holder with roosters around it, and the other is a wicker basket with a lid that I'm using to store several of my crochet yarns in. It works really well! I'll share some picture's with you all later, once I get them taken and downloaded. My Hubby and I also went to Jin Wei for lunch yesterday.. Hmmm sooo good!
You and your family and friends enjoy and have a Happy 4th! Stay safe too, especially if you're traveling or out and about, or using or watching firecrackers!
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I love the kind comments that you leave, and I love having you stop by! Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
~Lynn

Blessings,
~Lynn

~WALKING THE DOG~
Good Morning!
It's such a beautiful morning! I received this from my friend Maggie in my email and wanted to share it with you all too! Enjoy!!
Have a wonderful Thursday!!
HAPPINESS is a perfume that you cannot pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself.
What a wonderful life I have had --
happy to have realized it sooner than later.

~WALKING THE DOG~
A WOMAN was flying from Melbourne to Brisbane .
Unexpectedly, the plane was diverted to Sydney
Along the way. The flight attendant explained that
There would be a delay, and if the passengers wanted
To get off the aircraft the plane would re-board
In 50 minutes.
Everybody got off the plane except one lady who was
Blind. A man had noticed her as he walked by and
Could tell the lady was blind because her Guide
Dog lay quietly underneath the seats in front of her
Throughout the entire flight.
He could also tell she had flown this very flight before
Because the pilot approached her, and calling her by
Name, said, 'Kathy, we are in Sydney for almost
An hour. Would you like to get off and stretch your legs?'
The blind lady replied, 'No thanks, but maybe Buddy would
Like to stretch his legs.'
Picture this:
All the people in the gate area came to a complete standstill
When they looked up and saw the pilot walk off the plane
With a Guide dog! The pilot was even wearing sunglasses.
People scattered.
They not only tried to change planes, but they were trying to change airlines!
True story... Have a great day and remember...
...THINGS AREN'T ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.
A DAY WITHOUT LAUGHTER IS A DAY WASTED!!!
Blessings,
~Lynn
