Christmas is Love Sideslider Slimline Card

Hi all,

It's time to share  my November post with you.

I am busy making Christmas cards ..I love to send ( and receive ) handmade cards.
This card is a slimline card that  has some side slider  hidden texts which can be pulled out ..
Some unusual Christmas colours for this card with love .

First of all I have stamped my fun elf stamp called Christmas is Love onto some Perfect Colouring Paper with a brown ink .

In general I start to colour the skin first...

I have coloured her skirt/ dress and have added a pattern using various Copic and some rolly gel white pen.

For the background I have added some stars  with a stencil and added some shadows on the star with Copic. This ink is hybrid so it can be used with Copic and waterbased products.

I have prepared a short video with step by step colouring

Hope you have enjoyed my video .

Wryn Rock Slimline Shaker Card

Hi all,

Are you ready for a new post?
Today I am showing my new slimline shaker card with this fun digital stamp from Tiddly Inks, called Wryn the rocker.

I have printed the digi onto Perfect Colouring paper and have started colouring...
inspired by my own little rocker in the house.

Skin : E00, E11, E04, R20, R22

Hair : YR21, YR12, E23, E57, E59

Skirt : B05, B28, B39

Shirt& stockings : BG23, BG49, BG78

Boots : E29, E18, E08

Guitar : E97, E99, N8, N10

The image was ready to be fussy cut ...

Behind the image I have added a rotating mechanism. This die is fun as you do not have anything popping out on the other side

Time to assemble to whole card..
I have cut a piece of white cardstock (17 x 21cm) and scored it on 8.5 cm to create the card base .

The slimline die was cut twice, one time out of special cardstock, and one time out of foam.

I have put a piece of acetate in between ..in this way the shaker was easy to create.
I have passed  a anti static pouch onto the acetate ..just to make sure not everything sticks to the acetate.

Slim postage die : Whimsy
Musical notes : Marianne Design
Letters : I -crafters
Stitched rectangle : MFT
Rotating mechanism : Impronte D'autore

When you move the shaker, the mini pearls and mini musical notes diecuts will move..
And if you touch the coloured image it seems she is a real rocker that moves forward and backwards.

The letters were cut out of blue green foam and black card stock.

Hope you have enjoyed my "rocker" post..see you next post!
Thanks for visiting the blog.

Gorjuss Bubble Fairy with Video

Hi all,

Today it is my turn..
I have coloured up my new Gorjuss stamp, it is called bubble fairy and it is quite a big size.

I have stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black onto Perfect Colouring Paper
and have started to colour the skin with E51, E53, E33

Afterwards I have coloured the wings with B0000, B000, B00

Her dress was coloured with B60, B63, B66, B69, B79

For the colouring of her hair I have  made a speed colouring video

Hope it was fun to watch. I have used these colours YR21, YR24, E18, E29, This is a great hair colour combo - at least I love this one .

The stockings with C0, C3, C5 , gelly roll pen white

her boots with B60, B63, B66, B69

Some details on her dress with stardust rolly pen, white rolly pen.
On the wings I have added some glue with a quikie glue pen and sprinkled some glitter on top...

The background shadowing with BV0000, BV 000, BV 01

In the same stamp set there are some smaller stamps too,
like these stars which I have added with some Memento Danube blue ink.

I has become a cover of a kind of book..
I have used a Crealies die to cut the stitched tag shape, and the strapped pages edges were cut with a die from Joy.

Some ribbons and it is ready..

Thanks for your visit, I would love to receive some feedback.

shadowing and haircolouring tutorial

Some time ago I promised to do a hair tutorial and even better today I have a hair and face tutorial.
I have got a lot of photographs to show you so let's get started:

I started with a layer of E50 and E00. The first layer does look a bit stripey, but I don't worry about that yet. Many more layers will come and eventually I will blend all layers together with E000.

Fot some shadows I used BG0000. Blue is a cool colour and things in the distance always look more cool. I used the BG for the edges of her face and under the nose and chin.

For the 3rd layer I used the BV000 and BV00. These blue violets are just awesome for shadows.

When you only use cool colours in the face, it might look a bit weird in the end. So I decided to add some RV00 for some warmth. allthough the RV is a cool colour too, it looks warm next to the BV and BG I have been using in the previous layers.

Aading some more shadow with the W1, especially around the eyes and under the nose.

In this stage I took out the E000 and started blending all the layers together.

The eyes have shadows as well. The eyelid casts a shadow on the eyeball. I used W1 and BV00 to create this shadow. The R20 is for the fleshy parts of the eyes.

For colouring the eye I use several layers too. I started with YG61.

The 2nd layer is with YG23.

And the 3rd layer YG67. The darkest part of the eye is where the eyelid casts a shadow. So add a little of your darkest green just at the top of the eye.

Eyes usally have more than just one colour. So I added some tiny brown spots using E34 and E57.

The lips were coloured with E93, 95, 04 and 000.

Colouring hair can be tricky.  There is always a lot of shadow in hair, all those strands going underneath other strands of hair. So I find it easier to start with my darkest colour, in this case E09. In a flicking motion I colour the darkest parts of her hair.

Then I use the E08, YR16, YR15 and YR14 to colour the rest of the hair. I keep adding layers of ink until I'm happy with the result. The darkest colour might have been faded out a little with all those layers I put on top of it. So for some more depth I go back to the E08 and E09 to add more detail and depth to the hair.

And this was how she looks after all those layers, but I thought she looked a bit pale and her lips weren't sparkling enough.

I completely covered the skin in a layer of YR61 and blend it in with E000. On the lips I added some YR14, 15 and E08.
I liked it much better this way.

And this is the end result. I used the face in my art journal and doodled a little in the background.

See you next month.

2-toned hair...

Hi everyone, Ã…sa here with some copic inspiration for you today.

This is actually my last post here in the blog. I wan´t to thank all of you for a wonderful time.

I have coloured up an image with a lot of hair this time!
And I have choosen to make a two tone hair as well. I know, CRAZY right!?

But I had a great time colouring it. And I think it gives a very nice effect as well.

A quick reminder when colouring this type of hair; use the very tip on the brushnib to get those small, thin lines. And remember to Flick.

The image is from Sureya/Deviant Art.
She always has challenging hair on her images. Very good for practice!

I have used the following colours:
Skin: E11-21-00-000-R11
Hair: B05-04-02-01-000/V17-15-12-00
Green: YG17-13-11

Keep on practicing on your hair.

Have a wonderful wekeend!

Dark hair and skin

Hello all copic fans.
Today, it is I, Rozzan from Sweden who hope to inspire you.

Often it will be the same color I use to skin, but now I wanted to try some new combination.
This digi-stamps from Saturated Canary,
is well quite naturally to color with dark hair and dark skin.

When I color the hair, I have used the confetti technique, which are dots of various sizes.
Hair: E31,34,35,57,59,49
Skin: E31,11,13,15
Eyes: E43,44 and lips: E08

The skin and the dress I have used the technique tip to tip. Sometimes it can be difficult to get the colors to come together, then I think tip to tip is ideal to use.
Dress color: Y11,15,17, E15
I also tried to color with the same combination of skin and hair at this stamps from BildmÃ¥larna.

This card I showed last week in the Swedish copic blog.

Skin: E31,11,13,15
Hair: E31,34,35,57,59,49
Pants:: E81,84,87
Dress and stockings: E01,93,97,99
Paint Can: C,1,3,5 and BV20,23,29
