I got to meet #1!!!!

Hi evfurrybody! I had something FURRY exciting happen to me last week - I got to meet #1 from The Poupounette blog! She had commissioned two paintings from my mom, and came to Iowa for a big horse show last week, so we got to meet her!!

Mom posted about the paintings on her blog today if you want to see better photos of them, but since this is MY blog, I'm just going to tell you about what the meeting was like fur ME!

#1 (and her friend) were both furry nice, and petted me and said all kinds of nice things to me. Her friend was French, so #1 would speak French to her, and it sounded like music to my extremely cute and suave ears! I enjoyed how it sounded, especially when they were talking about my toenails being different colors, and about my dignified greying muzzle. And about how handsome I was, we can't furget that, BOL!

I don't look especially happy in dis second photo, but that was only because the sun was in my eyes.

It was so much fun to meet #1, and for all you who are wondering, she is just as nice in person as she is on the blog.

I'm sorry it's been so long since I've blogged. Mom has a lot of irons in the fire these days, and blogging time has been put on the back burner. I promise to check in whenever there is news, and more often when I'm able. Know that I love all my blogging friends, and think of you often and hope you are all well.

More snow squees, and a new painting of me!

Mom's been super busy this week, so not much time fur blogging. But I had to share these two snow squee pictures wiff you. We still have lots of snow here - it melts a little, then we get a little more. Sometimes it has the consistency of a giant sno-cone. Sometimes it's light and fluffy. Sometimes it's frozen hard and good fur snowwalking.

Here I am being cute some more. Go ahead and stare. You know you want to.

And here is new painting mom painted of me. She wanted to do a bold and unusual "urban style" dog portrait, something that she hasn't tried before. What do you guys think?

Twix's painting is done!

Here is Twix's finished portrait that my mom painted. Yay, Twix! Isn't that collar great? Fur a grrrl, I mean. I don't want hearts on MY collar!

PS. I'm still frozen!

My surprise - I know a secret...

My mom is going to paint TWIX!!! It's a Christmas present fur her daddy, so Twix can't say anything about it on her blog in case he reads it. So mom's going to blog about it, so all friends of Twix will be able to see her portrait! Mom is so excited to be painting sweet Twix!!!

It's at the very beginning stage right now - she has the sketch finished and is ready to start painting. Mom says she won't be able to blog much this week because of the holiday, but will post updates when she can as the painting progresses.

And remember - Shhhhh..... it's a surprise for her daddy, so don't post any comments about the painting on Twix's blog until she says it's ok...

Mom painted Nigel Buggers!

Hi everyone, just a quick post today cuz mom's trying to get ready for a show, but in case you haven't seen it yet, I thought you guys might like to see the painting of Nigel that mom painted for a charity auction to benefit A Place to Bark dog rescue. They need green papers to help finish their shelter.

Here is a link to the auction and a video of A Place to Bark. My mom is in awe of Bernie and all the tireless rescue work she does. It's such a wonderful cause, and mom is so happy to be able to help out this way.

Hey, I thought you dawgs and humans might enjoy watching dis video that my mom made. She likes to take pictures while she paints and then put them together in a video. They're kind of fun to watch. Especially dis one, cuz it's me, BOL! Hope you like it.

Flower Friday, and my giant head!

We like everyones Flower Friday posts so much that I asked mom if I could play too. Dis is some Purple Coneflower growing in my backyard. Bees and butterflies love dem. So does mom!

Speaking of mom, she's all excited about dis new painting she just finished of me, and it's huge! Look at my giant head, BOL!

She wrote a really mushy and embarrassing post about it on her blog. I sure hope it doesn't affect my rep with the ladies! Geez mom...
