You Tube - Dog Talking?

I've completed a couple of paper craft projects but can't show them just yet..
that's because it's for both of my daughters and they read my blog..
and I don't want them to see what I've made them.

But I do want to share this funny You Tube video my husband found..
If you're a dog lover, I'm pretty sure you'll find this entertaining...

My Latest Shabby Fluffy Flowers

It's been awhile since I showed a flower that I've made for scrapbooking or for paper crafting..I can't take credit for this since I did see it on You Tube but my version is just a bit different...

First you want to start with 8 flowers, all the same color..
I didn't have 8 of one color so I put together colors that would blend together...

and this is the colors that I picked for another flower..
you can use any flower you like but the idea is to use a flower that has petals...
Now it's time to get the glue gun heating up..

Take two of the flowers and glue them together, try to move the layers so that the petals are not lined up.
Then you'll take the remaining six flowers and glue them in half..you don't need but a tiny drollop of hot glue...

Then you'll fold them in half one more time and glue again...

You'll get the bottom piece and add some glue in the middle and add your quarter pieces...and just keep adding...if you use one color you can skip this next step..

When using multicolored flowers...make each color a layer...rotating where each petal is glued on to work toward having a fluffy flower..
Add something in the middle, this time I used a pearl but I'v used buttons before...

and this one was so fluffy that there isn't any need for something in the middle...

Here's a blue that I made with 3 different shades of blue..

This flower was made from all eight flowers being the same color...very frilly and full.
Doesn't it look fantastic?
Later this week I'll show how I used this flower...

And here's the pink flower that I added to a toilet paper mini album...
Aren't these just the prettiest flowers..definitely easy and I hope you give these a try...

My Newest Thrifty Finds

This past week was the beginning of yard sale season. Crystal and I were out on Wednesday looking for treasures and we did find some great things...

I'm showing the top of my hutch, which seems to be an area that I continue to find that just right look. The cage the birds are in was a find from a few years ago at Goodwill and I change it out all the time...

These birds are from Kohl's on clearance a couple of years ago..

I love this picture frame that changes with the season...
and of course this frame was spray painted..it use to be brown..
The subway art is from Pink Ink Doodle.
Isn't it so colorful and fun?

My newest finds are this tiered cup holder that we found on Wednesday...
when I bought it, I knew this is where it was going..

But the best find has to be these two Fiesta cups and saucers..
can you believe 50 cents each?

I'm pretty sure the lady had no idea they were Fiesta Ware because she put them in a plastic bag loose..
Crystal found the Fiesta Ware cups and saucersand I asked if I could have them..I'm still shocked that we got them for 50 cents each...

And here's the overall look, I just need to get going on making a new banner...
I'm just about finished with another project to show off...
and an announcement!!
