I didn't do one crafty thing this week, I was too busy watching every TV show about the Royal Wedding not to mention the wedding yesterday. I still have several shows to watch...wasn't Kate beautiful?

Craft Room War Zone

For some reason, my scrapbook/office has turned into a war zone...

actually I know why it's a diaster, I tend to organize with piles...

Okay, maybe organize with piles is an exaggeration...

I tend to be a very messy crafter, nothing gets put away ..

But it's time to get this place organized...

even though I have a couple of craft projects in the works, this week I'm spending my nights straighting this place..

which takes longer when watching all the TV shows about the Royal Wedding....

Happy Easter and Easter Peat Baskets

Have you seen all the cute and fun baskets made with peat pots recently? I decided to make some for my kids even though they are in their 20's - they still like to get some Easter candy..

I found these cute Easter Hello Kitty and I knew they would be the perfect size for these baskets..

I got out the hot glue gun and added some ribbon and raggedy flowers for the girls baskets and a chickie for my son...

Added a marshmallow bunny, glittery egg and the little chickie...

addd a pipe cleaner for the handle..

Since I didn't think my son would want a Hello Kitty, he's going to get a car wash ticket.

This might've taken me 15 minutes to put them together...

The best part, I still have more pots and I'm thinking May Day Baskets.

rain, wind and a little snow.

Target Cookie Sheet Review

On Sunday, Target advertised that you could get a free sugar cookie mix with the purchase of this cookie sheet. It looked like something fun to try for Easter.

My inspiration was due to this post over at Tidy Mom..

I mixed up the cookie dough and rolled pieces into small balls to fit in each spot.

and flattened the dough so that it was completely filled..

BUT....

this is what they should look like and

(slighty overdone on one side and doughy on the other)

and this is what mine look like, pretty pathetic but still delish!

Do you own one of these pans?

I think next year I might try to make candy with it instead of cookies...

Organizing Message Central - Another Altered Project

I've really become obsessed with altering objects and turning them into something new...

enter the area by our phone!

This is where we take messages but since it's mostly the two of us here, there's definitely too many pens & paper here..

so much stuff that phone cord would get wrapped up in the clutter..

and this cigar box fits the description to help out..

I used Modern Homemaker - October Afternoon scrapbook paper and

added a raggedy flower from my stash..

and here's how it turned out, the paper is super fun and very vintage looking.

Inside I stored a few pens, paper, and other odds and ends..

and now the message central station isn't so cluttered looking.

Message central is looking better these days and always nice to reduce the clutter.

Today's Thrify Treasures

I'm excited to see that Rhoda at Southern Hospitality is hosting

Today's Thrifty Treasures  again!

It's so much fun to see what others have picked up at thrift stores or maybe yard sales over the weekend.

Last Sunday, as we were leaving Goodwill, I happen to see a huge bag of ribbon...

The bag had to weigh at least 20 pounds.. 

I took everything out and separated the items(or tried in the beginning) on the kitchen table..

Look at this pile of lose fibers! I even some tossed over the top of a chair..

there wer also a whole lot of cross stitching kits..unopened!

and quite a few white flowers that I'll be changing to other colors with Glimmer Mist for upcoming paper crafting..

And I loved finding these baby rubber stamps and blue and pink saftey pin embellishments..

 But there was soooo much ribbon, I tried to color code it..

but the table got so full that after awhile, I was just stacking it according to the size of the spool..

And because there's only so much ribbon that I need, I'm going to put together some bundles to sell later on this week on my blog...

And I'm having blogging issues today - sure wish my right had column widgets were in the right place...

Why? More Blogging Issues!

Is anybody else having issues with blogger?

For some reason all of the items that are normally on my right sidebar are at the bottom of the page. But what's even stranger is that if I go to the design page, it shows the widgets are set up correctly for the right column.

If you have or are experiencing this, please let me know if you found a fix. And I still can't update any of my pages with blog buttons, it automatically changes the code and causes lots of problems.
