Shine on, Rosie

Something funny is that 9x12 is a super standard size, but I've only done it ONE other time in my life! Haha.

And Some Grapes

I had a bag of grapes sitting in the fridge for many days with a note on it that said, "for painting." My son kept asking me if he could eat them, so I finally fit them in a couple of paintings. By the time I was done, they were too far gone to eat. : (

If you'd like to see this scene all set up in my studio and me almost done painting it, check out my Instagram page (swipe image of this painting).

Together Forever

Click Here to Bid (6x6in. - OIL - starts at $100)

Here's a simple one with some of my favorite subjects. Someone wrote to me once and suggested I "upgrade" to fancy things, like pewter spoons and fine china. No thanks. I actually prefer this kind of simple stuff. For painting and for my own use. Fancy has never appealed to me.

Formal Family Portrait

Click Here to Bid (6x6in. - OIL - starts at $100)

Have you ever noticed how in every formal family portrait, there is always at least one person who ends up looking ... odd, somehow? My family completely avoided that by never having one made. Ever.

Over the Top

Click Here to Bid (6x12in. - OIL - starts at $150 - click image to enlarge)

Here's a slightly bigger one that combines both the apples and flowers that I've been working on lately. I made the little vase with the knobbies on it, years ago. Starting next week I'll be taking another pottery class and hope to produce something else I can use in my still lifes. We'll see.
