I made 2 wine labels for a colleque.

So how did I create these wine labels? Well first I have cut a piece of cardstock and with a stencil of a Wine Label I created a white one.

I started to ink the background with a few colors of Distress Ink and also with the Snowball/Snowy/Bubble/Dots Stencil I played on the background of the winelabel. So I started building up different layers with lots of stamps and stencils.

I must say that the Papillon Butterfly is still my favourite butterfly, it is a bit bigger than other stamps of butterflies and you can do loads of fun things with it.

This time I have colored them with Distress ink and after that I played with a Bleach Pen and sort of discolored it a bit....Last but not least I have placed a sentiment from the Perfect Wishes stampset and cut it out in a few words to devide it better on my label....at the bottom I placed a piece of lace to finish it. And offcourse at the back of the Label you can write your text.

The second Wine Label is totally different than the other one, I have colored the background with Distress Inks and worked with a bleach pen on the stamped butterflies from the Bella Fleur stampset,

I than took the doodle stichted Borders Stamp with the tiny hearts on it and stamped all around the Label, On top I placed a vintage image of a girl and worked on my roses with accents and a few tiny butterflies. So what do you think I am pretty pleased with my finished projects and it is not that hard to make, I sure hope I have given you some inspiration to try to make your onw Wine Labels, it is so much to do and when you are having a party you can hang the Label on your Wine bottle so present, card and text all at the same time. I sure love those gifts....

So what do I have in store for you for this challenge...

We Love To Create Challenge Blog

This time I made a Tag, I thought it was time for something else then cards....so I decided to make a Tag. I have cut the the Tag from a piece of cardstock, made this Tag myself ....this way you can decide what size you want it to have......

I started with the background. It was made with a bunch of different colors of distress inks. I have used 4 different colors to color my background with. I played with lots of stampsets on the background. I worked with sentiments. I used the Texture Galore stampset, The stampsets are so versatile don't you think????? I have used and played with them on so many different projects and they are so easy to work with....what kind of project did you make with them? I am curious about that...

What I also used on the background is a stencil from Dutch Doobadoo. the leaves are pretty aren't they? I really love those they way they turned out with the crackle .....My butterflies were colored with Distress inks and the body of the butterflies were worked on with Glossy Accents, I thought it would give those georgous butterflies from the Papillon Clear Stamp set a "real" look.....
And last but not least I decided to play a bit with a sentiment stamp from the Perfect Wishes stampset, I cut out the words and devided my sentiments in between and under the butterflies.

I must say that the Texture Gallore and Vintage Text Stamp sets are my favourite stampsets for my background, what are yours? I am curious what yours are......

Distress Inks
Crackle Paint

WE LOVE TO CREATE CHALLENGE #11, ANYTHING CREATIVE MIXED MEDIUM GOES WITH POLKADOODLES

Hi there, crafters out there.....did you know.....that we

Have a NEW challenge over at the

We Love To Create Challenge Blog

I have made a Christmas Card for your inspiration. I thought you could use some more inspiration for making your Cards for this Christmas. Have fun......I know I did....

I started out wtih a piece of cardstock and colored it with Distress Inks and when it was dry to lighten my paper up a bit I, played with Acrylic Paint and Gesso. I thought the color came out just the way I wanted it to be, light with a bit of purple in there.....What I did next was, I looked at the Christmas stampsets that had different shapes and sizes snowflakes in it. It took me about 6 different Christmas Stampsets to get the ones that I wanted to stamp on my Card. So I played with different colors purple and with differents sizes and shapes and stamped them randomly on my background. Untill I was finished and happy with the result.

So after I was finished stamping and glueing my background on another piece of cardstock I had to choose again......this time I had to choose if I wanted the Christmas sentiment to be on a piece of cardstock and then onto the card OR......I would glue the Sentiment without cardstock on the card....Sometimes it is very difficult to choose and if you have doubts you simply do it twice, hahaha that is my motto. So I just cut out the Christmas sentiment twice with the Dies and put them 1 on 1 on the card and looked at what I thought was nicer. So .... I chose only the text, without the cardstock

So like this .... I made the letters a bit shiny by going over them with the Glitterpen. You can't see it on the picture I am afraid but trust me in "real" life the letters have a shiny feel over it.

So this is my finished card for this month's challenge, I sure hope you like it and hopefully I can give you some inspiration for making your own Christmas Cards, It would be great if you could show it I am curious what you are going to make.

POLKADOODLES CRAFT AND INSPIRATIONAL BLOG-TUTORIAL GIFT SET-SHABBY CHIC/VINTAGY

Hello Crafters outthere, today it is my (Terry) turn on the Polkadoodles Inspirational Blog, to provide you with a tutorial. I made a gift set and it consists of a notebook and a card. Nice to give as a present to someone's birthday isn't it? So here is HOW I made the giftset, are you ready for it........

So the first thing that I did was, deviding acrylic paint on a piece of cardstock, I worked with the colors Red, Green, Yellow, Orange and White.

After using the background stamps from the wonderfull set Texture Gallore I came up with a little notebook and combined it with the Number Stencil. I thought only a little notebook is not enough, so I also wanted to use the remaining piece of cardstock and make a set of these projects. I did the same on the cardstock, colored the background with acrylic paints and the background stamps were used too. Also worked with the green, orange, red distress inks.

What I did next was when I was happy with the result of the paints, I got the Creative Number Stencil and with some Modelling Paste I played with the number stencil and placed the numbers on one side.

After that I stamped this fabulous butterfly from the Flower Collage Stampset with embossing ink. I embossed the butterfly with white embossingpowder en colored the butterfly with orange distress ink.

After I was done with the coloring I played with the sentiment from the stampset Perfect Wishes and cut it in 2 and placed it onto the front of the little notebook. And this is the result from the small notebook that I have made.

Oke now I want to finish the other half of the giftset and make a card with it, I am stamping the Doodle Borders all around my piece of paper and there are some tiny rounds in there, I got my white Graph'it Marker and colored them white.

And did you know that Polkadoodles has this new awesome Vintage Text Stampset....I stamped bits here and there on my background and I just love Vintage Text......After that I placed the Numbers onto the background aswell and this time I used Crackle Paste.....

Remember that I stamped and embossed some butterflies onto the notebook....I did the same on the Birthday card offcourse and I have colored the butterflies with the Orange Distress Ink...gives it a shabby chic/vintagy look doesn't it.....

So here is the whole set, one Shabby Chic Notebook with the sentiment enjoy the little moments and a Birthday Card with the same elements as the Notebook.

The products that I have worked with from Polkadoodles are:

I sure hope that I have given you some inspiration to make your own Gift Set, so much fun to make a set to give someone for a Birthday

Thank you for checking my Tutorial out and sure hope to see your creations.

WE LOVE TO CREATE CHALLENGE #9 ANYTHING CREATIVE MIXED MEDIUM GOES WITH POLKADOODLES XXX

Hi there crafters out there, it is time for a Brand New Challenge over at the We Love To Create Challenge Blog....are you ready for it.....sponsored by the amazingly talented Polkadoodles!!

Polkadoodles Ltd

So what do I have in store for you for this challenge...

We Love To Create Challenge Blog

I made an Autumn Butterfly card, the ones that know me figured it out allready, I admit I am a Butterfly Addict, cannot help myself the butterfly is an amazing creature and I just love them. That's why I made a card with butterflies for the Challenge from We Love To Create.....

I started out with a piece of cardstock...I colored it with Distress Oxides, purple, orange and blue/green colors. I was using my Brayer to devide the colors on the paper for the background. I spritzed the inks with water and dried it with my Heattool.

After that my background was dry I played with some Gesso. Again with the Brayer I devided the Gesso on the paper untill I thought it was ligt enough. I have been repeating this a few times.
After that, the background has been worked on with the Texture Galore, Honey Daisy and Vintage Text Stampsets. The Doodle Borders stampset is used all around my card.

So what did I do next.....I had a second piece of cardstock or actually aquarell paper and played with water and distress oxides and Gesso.  Dried it up with my Heattool and than I stamped the Papillon butterfly on the paper with Versamark and embossed my butterfly.

When My butterflies were embossed with white embossingpowder I took a babywhipe and tipped a bit of the ink on it, with the babywhipe I colored some corners of the butterfly.

And here is the result. Than I played a bit with the Nuvo glitter Drops on the wings of the butterflies. And it gives them such a nice shimmer.

After that I took the Paperpack Sentimentals and searched for a matching sentiment. I than cut out the words and placed them randomly onto the card.

So this is my card from upclose. I sure hope you like it and hopefully I have given you some inspiration on how to make a similar card like this one.

POLKADOODLES CRAFTS AND UNIQUE STAMPS, TUTORIAL on How to create a VINTAGE INSPIRED CARD WITH TEXTURES

Hello there, today it is my turn, Terry, to give you some inspiration on the Polkadoodles Inspiration Blog. I have made a vintage looking card with lots of soft colors, made with lots of the newest stamps and stencil. How I made it I will show you in this Tutorial

I started out by cutting a 15 x 15 cm piece of paper. Here I started to work with some colors, divided the colors by spraying some water on it until I thought the colors were soft enough. At first I wanted to use all 4 colors, but in the end I used only 3 colors....

Before using the stencil, I first ensure that the paper has a layer of Gesso, wanted to "lighten up" the background color a bit.....

Then I thought that first I could stick some ripple paper on my background paper, then the pigment powder and with some water the colors ran nicely on the paper. I also used a paintbrush to "help" the water with the color run through the rest of the background.......

So finally I was ready to play with the Number Collage Stencil

Do you know that most crafters are busy with something and suddenly have in their head that it still needs a color? So I had that too lol.....I added some white paint on the background

and some crackle had to be added on there too. Then I grabbed the Vintage Text stamp and stamped it on different pieces with 2 different colors

The background paper was dry after I dried it with the Heattool, then I started stamping around with the Doodle Borders stamp

Did not think that that was enough so I took the Texture Gallore stampset en stamped on the background paper some more to fill in the blanks....

Did you know that Polkadoodles has just wonderfull Glue Pen? I played with it to glue my butterflies onto the card. It works really good I can tell ya that.....so if you do not have a Glue pen like this, you better purchase it cause it is just wonderfull......

So I had 4 butterflies from 2 different stampsets (Bella Fleur and Flower Collage Stampset) and colored with Distress Inks and placed some crackle on top of them, after I was finished I Glued them onto my card.......

From the Hello Friend stampset I stamped the sentiment Each New Day is Special and this one is no different, I cut it into pieces and glued it onto my card

All around the sentiments I played with a black fineliner to let the words "pop" out of the card. I think I did a pretty good job on that lol....

With that same fineliner I scribbled on the butterflies

So there you have it, I hope I have given you some inspiration on how to make a Vintagy card with lots of stamps, stencils, color
Can't wait to see your creations....

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you soon.
